But when I walked in the door I found the space beautiful and definitely loved by the people. And what a mixed congregation! Black, brown, young, old -- wonderful! And friendly. Good preaching. When I read the pastor's bio I was especially excited to read what a broad personal background he has beginning in the Baptist Church. No wonder he is welcoming and comfortable with everyone who walks through the door no matter what their background.

It's a small congregation that wants you to grow in your walk with Christ. It's a place where you are a name not a number. If you want to be involved you won't have to wait in line to be apart of something great. The people are genuinely loving and family oriented. It's a come as you are atmosphere with traditional and contemporary worship. They have a great kids church that kids want to come back to. They are nonjudgmental and truly want to see you succeed in life. They are multicultural and celebrate the diversity that God created. Check them out on Facebook. read more

However, over time it has seemed to operate more like a business than a faith community, with an atmosphere that can feel judgmental rather than supportive. The Faith Formation program appears to be highly disorganized. There have been multiple instances of registration and recordkeeping issues, including children being listed as unregistered despite proof of payment and documented enrollment. Families have been told children must repeat classes due to missing records, even when receipts and attendance history exist. Communication between staff and volunteers appears inconsistent, and there seems to be confusion regarding responsibilities and student records. Concerns have also been raised about questions being asked of children that some families may consider inappropriate or unrelated to religious education. Based on these experiences, the Faith Formation program is difficult to recommend. Significant improvements in organization, communication, and accountability would be beneficial. Whether participation will continue in the future remains to be determined.
