My family and I have been going to The Summit Church for 15 years now, and honestly, it just feels…read morelike home. The thing I love most is how much this church shows up for the community. Between the Summit Lunch Program, Backpacks for kids heading back to school, the mobile food pantry, and sponsoring apartments at Hillcrest Transitional Housing--there's always something going on to help folks out. It's not just talk here; people really roll up their sleeves and do the work. We usually catch the 10:30 contemporary service, and it's the best part of our week. The worship music is great, and our pastors have a knack for breaking down the Word in a way that actually sticks with you. I find myself thinking about the message all week long. If you're looking for a welcoming church with awesome worship and a real heart for people, come check us out. We're so glad we did.

I was glad to see the cafe open. The message was great and I didn't feel like I missed anything from not being there on Sunday. It is a great option. But . . . if you want some good program, great pastoral staff and a larger church setting, this may very well be the church for you! DISCLAIMER: Yes, I give every church FIVE STARS not because every church is superfantablous, but every church that I will review can certainly be a FIVER to someone. Worship in the sanctuary was excellent. The Keynote in the Fellowship Hall was well attended, and the breakout workshop rooms all had adequate space. Village, being a BIG church (some would say a church it's size is a micro denomination onto its self) has a chef on staff. The chef and kitchen staff fed our group well and the quality of food was excellent. I go to a lot of events at Village and they are engaged in the larger community as well as the life of Heartland Presbytery. The Grief Support Network holds it's monthly meetings and it's annual conference at Village. Village provides a relaxed environment (and good coffee that is always ready) and the tech facilities that are needed for small conferences and events. This is a church that I look to to provide for me spiritual support as a pastor that helps me do my ministry with my congregation in the community. Their Village University has brought in speakers like Marcus Borg and Tony Campolo. I am glad that Village's ministry touches it's members and the Presbytery and the larger community.

First when you enter the parking lot they have people directing you. As you're walking in they have people greeting you that seem very genuine and happy. The worship music was very good, they had the words projected up with nice visuals. Everyone in the band playing was very good. The pastor's sermon was very insightful and helpful. I definitely related to it and learned a lot. As we left there were more people being friendly and the pastor was at the door as we exited. Overall a great experience.

It has a large parking lot, and is a nice sized church. The bookstore is one of the first things you see when entering, after walking across the large entrance. The bookstore is beautiful, with not only religious books but metaphysical, and self help books, as well as crystals, and healing tools, pendulums, jewelry, gifts. The staff is helpful and know their products. In the church itself, are several large "Sunday School" rooms, that are used for meetings during non church times. The large reiki group meets here 2 Mondays a month. On the next day, there may be a Buddahist gathering, that's how Unity Church is. The sanctuary is medium sized, bright even at night. The pews are light colored wood. Padded. The sound is sufficient for speakers, or even quiet activities like Shamanic drumming groups. The stage area has 4 steps, and a bright light. The speakers always complain about the bright light, but it makes them look good. I can see this used for weddings in the summer. The yellow tones would be a beautiful backdrop. There's alot of metaphysical events that take place here. An entire calendar is on their website. I appreciate Unity as they are not a "holier than thou" church. I really like this location.

Everyone was really surprised they had good reviews, none of the people on the site were in the room where I attended, and the amount of times discipline was used made me feel a little thrown off, not the biggest red flags but I just had a weird feeling in my gut. So I looked up Kansas City International Christian Church which is what this church had a whole presentation on being apart of & it's founded by the same man that founded International Church of Christ, Thomas "Kip" McKean & this made me have some MAJOR concerns (look this up). Not to mention all reviews for this church are no recent than 2020 & the Facebook page for Kansas City international Christian church has 5 reviews with 3 talking about money & bitcoin which is odd to me. Too many red flags & I just didn't feel comfortable but the small group I met was kind my first visit.
