I was traveling and as an Onyx Member, my membership does not cover diamond facilities like this one. Even so, I visited on three occasions during the week. Getting in the first and second time was easy enough. The third time presented some challenges. What I was told needed to occur to get in was not accepted at first by the day staff, so they quickly escalated it to the management team. The management team was more than happy to sort it out and I was able to gain entry in a matter of minutes. I greatly appreciate the help. If I have any advice, it's simply to ensure all team members are providing a cohesive message as three different people each had a different understanding of the policy regarding travelers with lower tier memberships. After speaking with the manager, I know understand how to avoid the confusion in the future before I travel. The facility is beautiful and well maintained with more amenities than most lifetime facilities. The Life Cafe was remarkably clean, staffed well, and turned orders quicker than any other Lifetime I've visited thus far. The locker rooms were great as usual and well equipped. A few of the lockers had jammed locking mechanisms, but there was no shortage of working units, so this wasn't a problem. Every time I was in the locker rooms, a staff member was in there constantly cleaning and keeping it looking great. The showers were great except the floor felt slick and gross. This may have just been a function of constant use as the area appeared extremely clean. The gym floor was missing two of my favorite pieces of equipment: the Hammer Strength Decline Press and the squat/shrug plate loaded machines. This is ultimately a very minor inconvenience as the rest of the gym floor was loaded with more equipment than I've seen in other facilities. Finding a substitute was easy enough. There were seven flat benches and no less than ten squat/deadlift platforms. I went at different times and never found myself waiting for equipment or feeling too crowded. Outside of the usual churn caused by use, the weights in the gym were well organized and someone was always going around and picking up stray towels, sorting out weights, and picking up trash and debris. Excellent work on this. Trainers were constantly around and working with clients. They were extremely respectful of other people around them and never crowded other people. More importantly, they paid active attention to their clients at all times. Based on what I overheard, they all clearly know what they're doing as all instruction was focused on safety and proper technique. If I was staying in the area, I could absolutely see using one on one instruction. I was going to hit the pro shop on my last visit, but I ran out of time. It looked great and isn't available at all Lifetimes. All in all, it was a great club that provided a great experience. I would expect nothing less from a Diamond Club and I'm glad to say that they upheld their high standards. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: It seems management has improved the maintenance of the lifting area during peak hours, which is nice to see. Still frustrating that you cant bring a backpack or duffel bag upstairs, I was told they don't have the insurance to cover if someone trips over one of those items, but a drawstring is allowed? However, the gym is still a mess in the evening. Weights are on nearly every machine. Dumbbells are all outta place. Towels littered on the floor. Seems like whoever is working the evening hours is not doing their job. Plus, nothing has been done about the blinding sun in the basketball courts during the day. I really like this gym. Been a member since September of 2016. I'm currently playing in a tennis league and on a men's team. Tennis is the main reason I'm here. It's pricey. Most of the things you can do anywhere, except for the tennis. The staff is very friendly and place is immaculate. For the money, it should be this way. Lots of little kids around, but mostly on the ground floor and not in the workout areas so as a non-kid guy, that's good at least. Go check it out, and see what you think. I just joined and am super impressed. I don't typically love super "bougie" establishments, but the guys at the front desk are very kind, the cafe employees have been so friendly, and the actual gym area is just great and so well-maintained. The locker rooms are also phenomenal. I make it a point to come at the least busy times, and I have not been disappointed yet. I have been a member at LVAC for years, but after experiencing Life Time, I totally get the hype. All the workers are so nice and always willing to help you! This gym has so many amenities and is always clean! The pool is legit a water park and I love to lay out by the pool during the summers! This club is pretty high end. Our monthly dues are $239 a month for two..However, I feel it's well worth it... it's sparkling clean, has a huge workout room with plenty of equipment so u never have to wait. Attendants keep everything clean and 'sweat free'! There's towel service everywhere, 5 pools, 3 jacuzzis, tennis courts, squash and many different types of classes. Cafe, Spa services, plenty of activities for a myriad of sports. The outdoor pool area has a water slide, cabanas, outdoor snack bar, feels like you're at a resort! It's 40 for a day pass I think, there's a club in Summerlin as well. You'll have access to all clubs in the cities that have Lifetime, 3 alone in the Los Angeles area that we could go to when we're back visiting folks. read more

Yikes.. for $159 per month, you would hope that Life Time would have decent customer service or at least a semi-welcoming attitude. I've been a member for 3 months now but will likely cancel as soon as I can (they make you give a 30 day notice). I'll start with the pros - the equipment. They've got a variety of updated cardio machines, a decent amount of free weights/squat racks, and a serviceable stretching area with foam rollers, padded mats, etc. Besides the equipment, everything else about this establishment is laughable starting from the moment you sign on. The high-pressure sales tactics are a huge turn-off.. and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's experienced it based on some of these reviews. They pressure you with a "we have everything under the sun" spiel, only to ignore their members the second they sign a contract. They didn't disclose many of the additional fees during the process (apparently you have to pay to use the tennis courts, pay a fee for some of their group classes, the poolside cabanas cost $200 to reserve even though they're hardly in use). It would have been nice to know of all the upcharges before I became a member. Besides the sleazy salespeople, the manager whom I spoke with (5 minutes after becoming a member!) was incredibly unhelpful. I had a few questions about my membership - he said he couldn't answer my questions at the moment, shook my hand and said "welcome to the gym", and walked away. If you really want a country club experience, pay a little extra and go elsewhere. OR, save your cash and join one of the LVAC's. This gym is ridiculous and it's not worth your time. read more

I am absolutely ecstatic that my husband agreed to cancel our membership here. I was never the country club, lay out at the pool all day and drink cocktails, then play racquetball-type person. The fees are ridiculous! My biggest peeve is that they don't have an indoor track... seriously??? You're going to charge me exorbitant amounts of money and don't even have the option of a track? On top of that, they have all these amazing classes you can take, but guess what??? You have to pay for those extra classes. Yes, you heard that right. On top of the laughable membership fees you have to pay extra for the classes.... and I'm not talking $5-$10 more. Every time I walked upstairs I thought to myself, why in the hell am I paying all this money to use some free weights and a treadmill. You also have to pay more for the cabanas by the pool. The first time we brought our toddler in the kids zone, omg, I had major anxiety. So many freakin kids and very little oversight. When I checked on her, some of the older kids were not being so nice to her and there were zero adults around to notice. When I came to pick her up at the end, she was sitting at a table by herself with no toys available to play with. Uggh killed me. That was the first and last time we brought her there. A few days later I was walking toward the locker room, which is by the kids zone, she started screaming 'no mommy! I don't want to go in there.' Thank God, I didn't cancel my membership with LVAC. They have a track and a women's gym, stuff I'll actually use. I'm just not that type of person to lounge all day at a gym pool, play racquetball and drink my pina colada... ohhh and then get a massage, manicure and get my hair blown out... it's quite laughable. $98 per year LVAC vs $3400 plus other fees at Lifetime... ummm no question on my decision to cancel. read more

We've had Family Diamond membership from the time they opened. We 340.00 per month auto by credit card. Received notice they are going to charge 2.5% surcharge. I was shocked. Less staff, shorter hours, less amenities, more corporate profits. 1) 1/2 of showers open 2 ) 1/2 of lockers open 3 ) No steam room 4 ) no Sauna 5 ) No shaving cream, , razors, Q-tips, mouthwash, hairspray, lotion or deodorant all of these items were supplied in the past. 6 ) All jacuzzi's are closed 7 ) you are not allowed to move work out benches to use cable equipment or the smith machine. Being able to move work out benches is critical in working out different parts of the body and different muscle groups. 8 ) when being asked to abide by social distancing a staff member will walk up to you within 2 feet of your face and explain the rule. ( I agree With the rule, 9 ) There is no spotting allowed which can cause a dangerous situation with someone potentially dropping the weight on themselves and causing serious injury. Without spotting it's not possible to work your muscle to the maximum. I understand many of these amenities are not being supplied due to COVID-19. They must follow the guidelines to keep the gym open and I completely respect that. But I don't expect to pay $340 a month for 70% of the amenities. I sent messages and left voice messages to Mindy Becker ( member service manager ) ( MBecker@It.life ) ( 702-802-7300 ) ( corporate phone number 1888-430-6432 ). After several days I basically received a corporate response to my concerns and her willingness to reach out and contact me. Reaching out again to contact her I waited three more days. I finally received a call back the other day, and decided I want to meet with her in person not over the phone to explain my displeasure. " ALL " members should call their corporate ( 1-888-430-6432 ) office and demand a discount on their account. I also sent an email to the lifetime corporate office under the contact us tab. I left my phone number it all messages and emails I have sent. I never got a call back or a response from the corporate office. I agree with the previous post about the corporation being a robot system, sending form letters to address issues, not being able to get ahold live person. I don't go to the grocery store and pay for a dozen eggs and only get eight. I am sure everyone else feels the same. I truly have enjoyed the club in the past and I'm still currently a member hoping they will do the right thing. With more members complaining and contacting the corporate office and Mindy perhaps they will do the right thing. Although, I am not expecting this corporate fitness facility of excepting less money for less amenities. The social club vibe, the poor sales tactics, and the "say-anything-to-get-you-through-the-door" approach really turned me off here. Not to mention, the price isn't that exciting, either. But I figured, if I can consolidate all of my fitness hobbies and memberships into one monthly payment and one physical location close to home, it would make life way easier and more convenient. When I came to check the place out, the account manager seemed knowledgeable enough. He was professional but a bit dry. As we completed our tour and got down to brass tax, I asked about workout classes I was specifically interested in, including indoor cycling and TRX suspension, among others. He assured me they were all here and, as he scrolled through the offerings, I didn't really see everything I was looking for. When I asked about TRX classes he told me that "TCX" was Lifetime's version of that. I signed up and, as I started browsing the app to plan out my week, I realized TCX wasn't even remotely similar to a TRX format. I called the account rep to inquire about TCX and he said he'd been confused about what it was, but acted like... there were so many class offerings and options at Lifetime that did it really matter if one of the things I liked wasn't available? He said he'd contact some of the trainers and also the group fitness coordinator or something, and they'd get back to me either that night or the next day. The next day passed, I didn't hear from anyone, and I was already at day 4 of my 7-day window to get my money back. That night I called up again and was given a hard sell by a couple of people, but it was confirmed that this class wasn't offered there. I went there that night and just cancelled the membership for a full refund. Had a bad taste in my mouth as it was, and there was no way I'd pay $159 a month to still have to go elsewhere for fitness classes. A lot of the most successful sales people know how to do one very important thing... and that's listen. If he had listened in the first place I wouldn't have wasted my time joining and would have just known I wouldn't get everything I was looking for there. read more

I enjoy going to this gym in Green Valley. I saw a review referring to squash courts, but this gym doesn't have it. It offers - outdoor and indoor tennis, - two basketball courts, - two group fitness studios (which I use when there are no classes in session), - yoga and Pilates studio, -indoor and outdoor pools with outside pool bar, water slides, - locker rooms with sauna and steam room and jacuzzi - functional training areas - weights, - cardio machines, - kids academy and activities - cafe and spa. This gym is wonderful for me. I can workout and head out to the pool. I can easily enjoy a nice Saturday or Sunday at the gym. I have no complaints. If your expectation is to be a weightlifting type gym, this place is not for you. This is a family oriented type gym. I don't find the membership to be too expensive for what you get. Consider your budget and what you want out of a gym. Not everyone wants the same thing. read more

It was great when we first started here. Our small children loved going and we felt they would be safe and cared for there. We were excited about all the classes offered in the kids academy and figured that made it worth the steep costs. BUT recently there was a big turnover with the childcare staff. With the exception of a few gals who do a great job, most of the childcare staff does not seem as caring or involved with the children now. Over the past few months the gym has gotten extremely overcrowded. They oversold. Many days there is a huge line to check your kids in and out of the kids academy . My kids hate going now because it's so chaotic and they don't get the personal attention they used to there. I'm not even sure if they are meeting the legal requirements for child/staff ratio. Often the machines I want to use are being used and I have to improvise now, when we first signed up in October this was never a problem. The yoga studio is very nice but the mats and props stink horribly. Overall the gym and locker room is getting dirtier because it's just too many people. Towels and grease spots in the sauna and steam room. It's just too crowded. **Update 6/16/16** It has been way less hectic lately. If you want to escape the over-crowded, low-class, meathead gyms in town come to Lifetime. If you understand what a resort or country club setting means then you will happily join. Great staff who are very helpful. Full metabolic assessment available which I did to scientifically discover my resting and active metabolism and how many calories I really need. Based on that they plan a workout that works best for fat loss. This was super helpful and I have already lost 12 pounds in two and half weeks. Indoor and out door pools, ample free weights and machines, plenty of cardio options, tennis, full service spa, kids area and activities, cafe - this place has it all. What to say about LifeTime Athletic.. I for one really love this health club for a few reasons: 1. They are located nationwide - if you travel a lot, it's really nice to be able to have consistency for workout routines and expectations. 2. There are enough machines and free weights even during peak hours. 3. Endless amounts of amenities - towers, razors, lotion, deodorant, mouth wash and so on. 4. Life Cafe has deckhouse healthy options for pre and post workout. In general my two complaints is that it seems most of the benefits offered by LifeTime are for people with children and it's a little pricey. The staff is always friendly and I LOVE the Henderson location! Overall, I love my routine at LifeTime and will continue to support and use this awesome nationwide health club. read more

Geez- so many negative reviews about cost, calling members anything from pretentious to even worse things.. as well as complaints about the service. I am a little surprised. I cannot really speak for customer service on a continuous basis, but the week I spent here as a guest from out of state, I thought that the manager was nothing but attentive -same with the front desk staff. Your membership will transfer to any other location in the US, either because you paid the $10 extra per month (like me) to use any gym, or if you travel just call the manager or sales staff in the gym you intend to use and kindly explain you are a member elsewhere and ask for a pass. Kindess never killed anyone and honey catches a lot more flies than vinegar.. just saying. This is one of the nicer LF's I have been to! It was spotless, absolutely immaculate clean, which I appreciate. The indoor and outdoor tennis courts are a bonus, and the locker rooms are particularly well stocked and pretty. Most LifeTime's are well stocked but this one knocks it out of the park on little amenities. The outdoor pool sports cabanas, a nice cafe, several slides and a jacuzzi. Indoors you'll find a LifeSpa, kid center, yoga studio, clothing store, LifeCafe and probably more that I havent even seen. Surprisingly, the actual work out area wasnt much larger or different than others. Stil, there is plenty of equipment and you won't ever have to wait. For the people talking about the cost.. in my case.. if I were to get a gym membership, an unlimited yoga membership and a membership for spin classes and barre (or even on a drop in basis for both) - I would spend a whole lot more than I do here. If all you do is run on a treadmill and you do not care about the amenities, then this place indeed may not be worth the money for you. For me it works and I like it here! read more

This place is an absolute joke. They raise the price every year and the service is non existent. They will bend over backwards to get you to sign up but once you do, you're just a number. And they will do nothing to keep you around. My car was broken into while I was working out. They did absolutely nothing. Tried to get camera footage. "Sorry, our manager is on vacation." Checked in weekly and they gave me excuse after excuse. Not worth the money at all. Trust me. The shine wears off real quick. I promise you, for the money, save it yourself. My fiancé has been going to this gym for well over a year now and while the facility is nice the staff couldn't be bothered to help locate a lost item. She left a brand new lululemon sweater on a treadmill and called later in the day. After the lady she spoke with asked about all the details of when/where/item description she was told that they can't tell her over the phone if they have it or not. The next morning she was told that they did not have it without looking in a lost and found. Absolutely no effort from the staff to help find this lost Christmas gift. Like, I can not remember life before Life Time Athletic. If you can get over the amount of money you fork over for a family membership- the perks really are incredible. I am now a group fitness junkie. I love the variety of classes for both myself and my children. Not to mention, up to 3 hours of childcare a day. This helps me out so much with our family's busy life style, and was the final selling factor for us. In house swim lessons, karate, gymnastics or almost anything else you can think of are available for purchase or free on a rotating schedule. We also really enjoy the Life Cafe. Although it's pretty pricy ($9 for a protein smoothie) it's nice to know you're getting fresh, healthy ingredients in a super convenient location. One major area of improvement would be their wifi. I can almost never send or receive a text, listen to Internet radio, or watch a show while working out. This seems like a non negotiable for a gym-- hope they can figure it out soon-- but we're not going anywhere none the less. Excited about using the pool and water slides this summer, and having a drink out back by the fire pits. We love you Lifetime read more

As the five stars description denotes "as good as it gets" I have no complaints about Life Time it's not overly crowded except for a few peak hours of the day, all equipment is clean and new, the locker room area is always spotless I believe they have at least 2 people constantly maintaining the area. The outdoor pool area is crazy nice loungers with THICK cushions large pool with water slides and 5 lap lanes, towel service, and a bar and cafe with waitresses to bring your food or alcoholic drinks to your chair. The weight area is fully stocked with all the usual benches and plenty of free weights. they also have a large open wood floor area for doing freestyle type workouts. Sign up soon! read more

I made an appointment today at 3:30 I was early and front desk lady said please have a seat someone will be right with you 20 min later a gentleman in high water pants and suit jacket sat at the front desk a couple walked in and he took them on a tour I was told I'd have to wait so I sat 10 min and asked how much longer since I made a appointment first impression is everything and she said it could be 35-1 hour shocked I said that was ridiculous she said we are short staffed on Sundays my response was that's not problem your short staffed I made this appointment ahead on my day off. Pretentious snobs that think it's a privilege for you to workout here. Completely overpriced and overrated. I just moved here from PA and loved my Lifetime gym in Wayne PA but upon arrival here was treated like a second class citizen even though myself and my two partners I brought to workout with have forgotten more about fitness then then Pretentious A Hole they had working the desk. I left the place and called my guy in PA to let him know what happened and cancelled my membership. If a manager reads this, start with your front desk, they are snobby have ZERO customer service skills. I cancelled my Membership and so did my trainer who used to oversee and train all the trainers at Lifetime, so we are well aware of how you should be treated in a high priced facility like this. YOU ARE NOT the FOUR SEASONS! Train your staff! I then went to LVAC and the manager hooked us up, gave my two guests who are training for a competitive event in 8 weeks a week Pass for what Lifetime asked for a day Pass and just treated us like humans. I joined Lifetime Athletic about 4 months ago, and I am very pleased with the facility and staff. There are many amenities that this gym offers. There is always plenty of equipment to work out, along with classes and a variety of group activities. There is a beautiful pool to relax and enjoy anytime- this has been a nice retreat during the hot summer weather. Overall this gym has been a great experience for me- I tend to shy away from some of the other gyms due to the people and the images portrayed- this has been a welcoming and friendly environment. As for monthly dues... yes it is much pricier than any other gym I have been to. But for me the service and amenities are worth it! read more

Money hungry facility. I canceled my membership in August and 3 months later they sent me a bill for November and again for December. They refused to take off the charge because they claim they did not receive my letter, but I did indeed send in my letter. Although I did not keep my certified receipt it is not my fault the letter was misplaced by either their company or the mailing company. They did not care to help me after this and stuck me with the bill even though they see I had not used their gym for almost 4 months. Recently this gym has reopened. I go in with some trepidation. Not many guests wear masks. I wear a mask. I don't see this business taking regular temperature checks. I have heard you do this for staff but guests will well exceed staff here as it gets very busy and it should be doing this practice at the least bc guests do not wear masks. I see a lot of new faces. It is esp true of the cafe. I ordered food here the other day upon their reopening and it was taken by an employee who is new. Food typically doesn't take too long. As I'm waiting, I notice the drinks come out rather quickly, but I don't see anyone checking on my food order. I see employees chit chatting behind the counter. The girl that took my order hasn't checked for my food and it's been ten mins. After their conversation , 15 mins now. A man goes into the cooking area and starts cooking something. After a few minutes, he stated there's an order up. It seems like it's mine. 20 mins! This girl was talking to the chef ( which I didn't know ) while my order is supposed to be cooking. Please train these people. It was frustrating. I wanted to say something but I didn't as you just reopened. This gym is top notch. I love almost everything about this gym. It is clean, the equipment is nice and updated, the classes are phenomenal, the layout is perfect, I could go on and on all day raving. In just six months here I've gotten my body fat down from 22% to 15% and I look and feel better than I ever have in my life. I've never before looked forward to my workouts, they are now the highlight of my day! The only downside about this place is the kids academy. The place is absolutely overrun and understaffed--it is a menagerie. Good luck finding childcare between 9:00 and 11:00 am. It is common to see parents lined up out the door irate that they are about to miss their scheduled (and expensive) personal training session because they have met capacity. They don't have the supervision to handle normal toddler behavior problems and are swift to suspend your child rather than train their staff to deal with these behaviors appropriately. The staff essentially rewards bad behavior and then wonders why the issue doesn't improve. This creates a system that reinforces problems, and it seems like their solution is to expel 2-year-old children who exhibit normal toddler challenges. They need training by child care professionals to help them address this. If my fees went up it would be worth it. read more

I travel often and go to many different Gym locations and this is by far one of the most impressive workout facilities I have every walked into . Walking through the door I am immediately greeted and checked in. The service is very polite and helpful offering tours and answering questions. To the left is a spa and my immediate right is a nice health café that blasts typical gym smoothie spots out of the water in a no contest victory. Indoors their is a tennis court with a daycare center close by along with a spin class room. Upstairs is where the Iron is along with an assortment of cardio machines and Crossfit Esque equipment. Down the hall at the far end upstairs is a yoga zone. The Décor alone is impressive. I intent on a class in the near future just to get the experience in, but I digress. Outside is the pool area. Their is a semi indoor pool location with a shallow pool for kids and a lap pool. Outside is what really made hit me. There is another pool with an outside bar and waterslide resembling a resort pool and relaxation area I would find at a 5 star hotel. I could seriously use those services after a long 1-2 hour workout. Especially a scotch.... You have to see it to believe it, and for everything offered and the level of customer service and cleanliness the monthly fee is completely worth it. State of the art machines and equipment along with fantastic staff and amenities with attention to cleanliness place this at the top of the gym experience. FYI they do offer day passes as well if your in the area and want to try it out. read more

Love this place all around a wonderful facility. I just don't understand during the summer why the cocktail waitresses don't get to wear bathing suits anymore it's kind of weird like we're in Vegas, plus it's really hot out. read more

I have been coming to this gym for awhile now and absolutely love it, I have no complaint other than I find it so ridiculous that they are not open 24 hours how they used to be before the Covid shut down, yet every other gym which is a fraction of what the membership fee of this one is, is open 24 hours ? I find it so ridiculous and honestly seems to me they are taking advantage in a way, this is a 24 hour city and me among others I know do workout extremely late due to our work schedules.......I miss not having to rush out before 12 because they need to "clean" for 4 hours which I I find extremely hard to believe especially if you have only like 2 employees to clean the whole gym, it's something that can be done while still being open ! & if they're not going to enforce the mask policy (at all) than clearly they shouldn't be as worried about sanitation as bad as that sounds, I hope eventually they go back to 24 hours which they should, it's a GYM for gods sake ! read more

Well it is a real nice place and real expensive! A gym that can cost more than your car payment ha! But hey if you like to workout in a clean high end environment then spend on it! It's your thing! I like the pool cuz I can't swim in LVAC floating particles pool. Their equipment is top of the line and and and the Henderso location is for you tennis lovers! Indoor court is sweet but you know they charge $15 per hour on top of your membership just to test on you, how far would you go for tennis 3stars cuz they like to charge extra for classes and tennis on top of killing me now membership price. read more
