Great thing about Anytime Fitness is the ability to work out anywhere there is a Anytime Fitness gym. After 30 days, you are granted access to any of the gym locations even outside the US for a low monthly fee. And get this, ALL the gyms are open 24/7. Keep in mind, the staff hours are limited so if you need assistance, you're going to have to go in during regular business hours. They also offer group/personal training classes which I don't care too much about. I get my workout in and get out. It's got everything I need and then some. When you walk in you'll be able to see a shelf of cubbie storage where you can put your keys and other miscellaneous stuff. In addition to plenty coat hangers, there is a shoe rack as well. I really appreciate that little area so people don't drag their wet shoes along the hardwood floor to get to the restrooms on the other side. This gym has everything anyone needs, although the lifting stations and free-weights area are cramped. The free weight benches are somewhat of an hindrance at this particular location due to the space constraint so if you are by the free weights, you'll notice you won't have much room to roam freely. Stuff have to be moved around on occasion even when you're working out by yourself... Some AF locations have lockers but this one does not. It is a safe gym with camera rigged everywhere especially the entrance area. I've been to several locations around a few states and all the gyms are set up pretty much the same plus or minus a few workout equipment like jump ropes, boxes for box jumps and plyometrics/yoga/stretching area. It varies from gym to gym as these gyms are franchised out. If you want to bulk up, you can do so at an Anytime Fitness gym but don't expect the same number of workout benches and/or weightlifting stations compared to World's/Gold's Gym... If you want to lose weight and tone, you can also do that here. Tons of cardio machines and are greatly maintained. The thing I really like about these gyms is there is always almost no one there so you can get an efficient and effective workout whenever you feel like it. Don't get me wrong though, I don't mind working out with equally minded people who are trying to get their workouts in... I just can't stand groups of 3-5 people at a given station just chatting about last night with the hot chick or what not.

I tried to call and get in touch with someone there to find a time to set up a meeting with a personal trainer. I was very excited and ready to start my powerlifting journey, and after seeing these positive reviews I thought this would be the place to do so. I called. Someone answered the phone, I didn't get his name, but he was chewing loudly in my ear the whole duration of the conversation. I asked for one of the owners/managing trainers and he said that no one was available. When I said I could call back later he told me "You don't need to." I hate to leave a bad review, especially considering it's my first review ever, but I'm quite fed up with not being taken seriously by gym owners, staff, and trainers. This was an incredibly disappointing experience.

I have had my eye on this place for a while as I travel pretty often to the Minneapolis area and have been looking for a gym just like this. Minneapolis has so many Anytime Fitness and Planet Fitness, which are not bad establishments, just not a place that fits my workout personality (i.e. "lunk alarms", no real heavy lifting and dumbbells that stop at 50#). Southside definitely provides the atmosphere to focus on your strength and lifting goals. Loved the gritty atmosphere of "go in and get it done, no excuses". The main gym is awesome and has a ton of speciality bars, racks, DBs that go up to 150 and platforms specifically for oly lifting only plus other platforms for powerlifting. I came in around 3-4:30 and was one of the only there...so no issue whatsoever of having the run of the place. Honestly I wish that there was a place like this in Omaha. Will back for sure next time here.

C4 has month to month unlimited packages and 5 or 10 class packages. The price is SO reasonable, and you can try the gym for free for a week. The community is welcoming from the very first day, and Mollie is available to answer all of your questions. I ended up going to the gym 3-4 times a week and tried classes ranging from boot camp to yoga. Prior to C4, I had stopped lifting and was out of shape, but the C4 instructors are ready to help all skill ranges and ages. I consistently had my form corrected and was encouraged to push myself throughout each class. I would stay with C4 forever if I wasn't moving! If you want a variety of fun workouts mixing cardio and strength training, a supportive community, and excellent trainers, you need to try C4. Special thanks to Mollie and Matt for all of the great classes!

The workouts are great, and modifiable since we are more than a bit out of shape. There is a lot of variety to the workouts and exercises that keep things challenging and interesting. We were a little nervous after hearing mixed reviews for the last few years about Crossfit -- some people think it's dangerous and others think it's the best thing ever! I can see how, based on what gym you go to, your idea may lean closer to one versus the other. Mi5 started us off with a 1 week free trial where we sampled several different classes! Endurance, Barbell Club, FIT, and Strength and Sweat! All of them with a very different purpose & stimulus. As an individual who needs to modify quite a few movements, I have ALWAYS felt like I had a place at Mi5 and never was looked at differently because I changed a movement or needed to do something a bit differently or with a lighter weight. Additionally, the coaches are PHENOMINAL! They help you to come up with modifications for a workout if you are injured, have not progressed to that movement yet, or just don't feel comfortable doing it! Even when I'm attending for Open Gym, if there's a coach around & I have a question about a movement, they are always willing to take the time to have a conversation about that specific movement, general gym goals, or just to hang out and chat! We're extremely glad we joined and are very grateful for this community!
