It was very comfortable and easy to drive. There were unexpected delays that came up with us getting our property from point A to point B, requiring us to extend our truck rental, and Mike worked with us on it, until we were able to complete our move. His professionalism and people skills exemplified what you hope and expect to receive from a company in customer service! Thank you, Mike! I highly recommend this Penske Truck Rental location. I will be back if I ever need to rent a truck or van for any reason. One of our neighbors also rents Penske trucks from this location from time to time, and has also given glowing remarks about Mike and Penske Truck Rental as a whole. Highly recommended!

We used these guys in the past and had good service so we hired them again earlier this summer to…read moreload/pack a 28' upack.com semi trailer for our move. When they couldn't figure out how to use the ramp that came with the trailer it should have been a red flag... they decided to load the trailer without the ramp, just lifting everything up. Odd, but not a big deal for me. We bought/provided over 60 moving blankets and a dozen paper pads for our furniture to be wrapped up safely. Part of the labor we hired them for was to wrap the furniture with these pads. They wrapped a couple of pieces but didn't really tape the blankets around.. just a couple of loops of shrink wrap and they called it done. We started seeing them move furniture out of the house unwrapped and when we questioned them, we were told they were wrapping the furniture in the trailer, that they had taken a bunch of the blankets out already. We were basically told to relax, they had it under control. We didn't rush the guys.. they were getting paid by the hour so there was no reason to rush, but they were done fairly quickly. But not after almost punching a hole in our drywall when they lost control of a dresser coming down the stairs. I had to run to Lowe's to pick up stuff to patch the multiple large dents (not dings, dents!) in the drywall and they didn't offer to cover that. Not a huge deal... it was like $10 in stuff from Lowe's. Fast forward a week later and the trailer is down in Florida ready to be unloaded. I opened the door and found a couple of broken ceramic pots laying up against the door. Ok, not the end of the world... but they weren't wrapped at all. Then I saw stacks of blankets... many of them still in the plastic wrap that they came in (new, unused). Then I noticed we had furniture that just had a blanket draped over it but not even secured to it. There were grease marks on furniture where they were resting up against garage tools -- with no blankets around the furniture at all! My $3000 pottery barn sectional couch was even being used as a prop to hold up a bicycle... by the pedal (see picture!) To this day I have no idea how the bike pedal did not puncture the fabric of the couch... but it only dented it. A miracle. There was other minor damage to furniture... dining room table legs unwrapped banging up against each other. Really.. .nothing between them. Why wouldn't they use the blankets we had available for them to use?? Another questionable choice was leaning a concrete bench end up against my leather sofa with nothing in between (see picture!). Even the sofa cushions were taken and wedged between the wall of the trailer and other furniture.. leaving grease and other dirt on the couch pillows and cushions. Oh and they broke a leg off of a dresser... and i had a sign taped to the front saying it had a weak leg. Didn't matter, apparently. Long story short - everything that we packed and boxed up made the trip just fine. But the things they were paid to wrap up and load were haphazardly put in the truck, unwrapped with blankets even though we had 2 dozen left over unused! They were just straight up lazy. You can use these guys to move you into a new place or unload some heavy equipment.... but if you care about your furniture and goods then I wouldn't recommend them at all. I stewed about this for a while trying to decide if it was better to just keep silent and leave no review or to speak out and warn others.

Before hiring this Company ask them to submit to a background check of the personnel that will be…read moreentering your home and have access to your possessions and make sure they are Bonded and have a USDOT number. THIEVES!!! This Company is not Licensed to operate or advertise Moving Services in South Carolina and I have attached an email from the S.C. Office of Regulatory Staff to prove it. We had jewelry and elestolen and a backpack left behind by the Mover contained loose pearls that was probably taken from another Consumer that hired this Company for a move. The worst moving experience ever! Owner sent his partner which turned out to be another business owner to estimate the move. The move was being paid by a third party and this was stated up front to the moving Company. The job was to pack, move, unpack and put away. The job was literally five houses apart. Based on the estimate from the friend the Owner negotiated a flat rate with the third party. Day one the Mover arrived one hour late. Upon touring the premises he realized he wasn't prepared for the move in terms of personnel, supplies and equipment. He left the job to renegotiate the rate with the third party, tried to get more manpower and supplies. Arrived late on day two and all boxes were put on first floor even when movers were instructed to go to rooms on multiple levels. By the end of day two the first floor was swamped with boxes without one being unpacked. I asked for them to cease for the day as it was closing in on 7 P.M. which miffed the Owner. Since the first floor was full of boxes they had to fill my garage and left at 7:30 P.M. Arrived at 10 A.M. for day three. Large items that there brought in on day one still remained in my kitchen area and never moved to appropriate floors. No protection was used on stairs or railings. Day three ended with Mover demanding payment to unload the last truck of the evening and then wanted to depart with my possessions and return in the morning. I had to inform the Owner that if he departed the Sheriff's Department would be called. Once again the truckload was placed in my garage. Owner agreed to come back and finish on Day four. Owner arrived and then departed to pick up payment from third party and sent a text that he was cashing the check and would come straight back. As of 5:30 P.M. on day four the Mover never returned. Mover Left boxes throughout my home. Furniture on first floor that needed to go to other levels. Washing Machine is still in garage. Dryer is still sitting outside Laundry Room. Dresser was left on sidewalk with his hand truck. Moving blankets and tools are still between the two residences l. My refrigerator is still at the original residence even though we requested each day to have it moved to our new home. Turns out the Mover didn't have the Tools or the skill to remove the doors to the appliance to move it to the new home. Items including my lawnmower are still in the garage of home we were moving out of. This Company is not trustworthy, unprofessional, unprepared to do a move that requires any planning. Mover was also splitting his crew and single Moving truck between multiple jobs. How this Company managed 5 Star reviews on Google is beyond me. Save yourself the nightmare and hassle and book a legitimate Company. As an update....It is now three days since the Mover took the check from the Third Party and never returned to finish the job. Multiple attempts have been made to contact the Owner via phone and Text messages. Phone call goes to Caller not available. Text messages are marked as Read. I have requested information to process damage claims on furniture and my Washing Machine that was moved without the drum pins being put in place to stabilize the drum. The Pins were put on top of the Washer and the Owner was asked multiple times if the pins were in place and we were told they were but it turned out that they were not installed. Upon trying to contact Owner a Text response came back that he was in an Important Meeting in Virginia and would get back to me last night. I was never contacted. All of the Movers Tools and Hand Truck are still at my residence. PLEASE make sure your Mover is Licensed, can provproof of Liability Insurance and provide references. Unfortunately we learned the hard way! Update #2 It has been eight days since the Owner walked off the job that he sent his Partner to scope out the move and drastically underestimated the job and which the Owner negotiated not one Flat Rate for the Job but TWO Flat Rates for the job. He had two chances and still couldn't estimate and negotiate proper payment for the move with our Builder who was the third party payer. Still waiting to have our damage claims addressed through a legitimate Inspection and Insurance Claim Form which Owner has yet to provide since walking off the job. The only way to contact this unprofessional Owner is through Text Messages as calls go unanswered.
