Music is performed by a band on stage and the music is modern. 2 large projector screens display messages being delivered and the band/pastor preaching the word. Not your typical church setup -- no stained glass or mural style painting here. Dramatic lighting and a large cross set the scene for the theater style stage. Pastor Mike is very good at what he does. Admits flaws and speaks his opinion but knows there can be multiple interpretations to everything. Very personable. Great mix of funny and thoughtful in delivering his sermons that always keep me intrigued. I would recommend Northbrook to anyone looking to hear the word of God in a very inviting environment.

This church is very unique because it is has a messianic synagogue sister congregation called Beth Messiah Milwaukee. Both congregations have an excellent Biblical foundation. I am very blessed to be a member at both congregations. I enjoy the music of the contemporary worship music team and the sermons of the pastoral team. For years and years I have been involved in the evangelical Bible believing Church but have been confused with the apparent contradictions within the Bible. Like many of us, I suppose, I was quick to accept the traditional understanding of the Bible and was quick, also, to look down at those study notes that are included in many of our Bibles. In my quest to better understand what God was like and how to resolve all those questions I had, especially with all the so many views and interpretations out there - I have finally come to a place where I can say with all my heart that my personal convictions about God, salvation and His plans regarding His chosen people, Israel and His established Body of Christ today, are cleared up entirely. THANKS to the written material and the long back and forth correspondence with the people at the Berean Bible Society. You have helped clear up so much in my mind. Believe me, I am a cautious fellow, always aware of the many weird doctrines out there, but I am equally open minded to realize the majority of traditional thinking may not be entirely correct simply because a certain leader or a certain Bible Revision Committee, or a particular seminary founder claims to have the edge of properly interpreting God's Word. I have been so freed on confusing areas such as election, pre destination, how people in the Old Testament were made right with God, the proper relationship between works and faith, the dilemma in the book of James, the real meaning of the 7 churches (assemblies - Hebrew meaning of the word), in the Book of Revelation, and the list goes on. Well done to all at the Berean Bible Society and the many others who think hard and long to convey what, I believe, is the closest thing to what God has always meant in what He has said in His written word.
