Literally never open. The employees must take constant breaks throughout the day. It's beyond irritating at this point.

Horrible customer service. As we were browsing around we overheard two employees talking about how they charged a woman extra for the donations because she was such a B*** without letting her know or asking. While we were actively paying for our order an issue occured with the machine and the person checking us out took the next person instead of using the extra machine to charge us and he had a very bad attitude. To top it all off he did not provide us with a receipt so I am curious as to how many people they are charging this "donation fee" to without their knowledge. 5/9/21 Upon entering, I was by an employee who was able to answer my question about the short flat hats I have been seeing people wearing. Ever since I was informed as a kid how wearing your hat flat is uncool and how old people only do this stuck in my mind. Today the old man at age 44 is me. I still don't see the short flat bill of baseball or (American) football hat attractive. It would seem now adays that the teeny boppers to adults have changed their minds about what is cool and what fits. Old school is the new school and back and forth we go...example...Jeans are out and tights or leggings are in. Guys get more options on sweat pants vs jeans. I am digressing again. The Baltimore Ravens hats o like are stretch hats without the gap in the back. I like these hats, but wearing glasses with a ball cap doesn't look good on me at times. Yeah, I know sometimes I get over this stupid idea/thought, but other times no. The employee wasn't much of a talker, but if you ask hime a question, you will get an answer to your question. The ambience in the store is at a 50/50 level. Still if I want to get a all black Baltimore Ravens cap or a Black and Purple cap, I know where to go. read more

There is never more than one person here. They are overwhelmed and don't have time to actually help customers.

This shop just sells ball caps, i tend to by just plain ones of various colors. Usually several to last about a year. In the past, the shop has been decent enough to go. The last time, the over-the-top tattooed guy who sold me the hats was like some caricature from a Tarrantino movie. Talking in what I assumed was some tough guy street lingo as if he were auditioning for the part of some pusher. Overall, if you are wanting a ball cap-this is the go-to place. If your lucky, you might also get some entertaining grammar slaughtering clerk to wait on you. read more

Basically store selling a bunch of ball caps. They do have monogram services which is the only reason I have ever been in this store. They have done some stockings as well as some towels for me. They have a member card for $5 to purchase which will get you $2 off every item you monogram. Worth the purchase if you plan to do monogramming. read more

Lids - Hats Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

This location sucks. Lacking beanies I wanted and sale associates suck. So you have 4 dudes to 2 customers and none of you could've said "hi can we help you". This sausage fest of a party were too concerned with going to a party later that night. From what I over heard, it's just them getting together and maybe some girls will be by. Rude SA's, not helpful in the least bit, and sucky service. Y'all aren't getting any of my business anymore. read more

This store is real bad news. I ordered merchandise through Lids website. It was to be delivered by FedEx to Lids' Fair Oaks Mall store where I would pick it up. According to FedEx tracking the item was delivered. However, according to Lids Fair Oaks, the merchandise never arrived. I made repeated attempts to call the store. Yet at the Lids Fair Oaks store, the phone was never answered. After days of trying to reach Lids by phone, someone finally took the call. The Lids Fair Oaks employee could not find my shipment despite FedEx confirming that it was delivered and a delivery signature on file. Lids' employee acted in tone and attitude as through he cared less. He told me that it was the problem of FedEx not the store's. I called FedEx. They told me that the delivery was confirmed and an inquiry was filed with Lids. Days later they said that Lids had not responded. Three days on and i tried again to reach Lids. No one answers the phone. I subsequently called Lids' corporate offices. They attempted to intervene by calling the store. They too were surprised that no one answered. I was told that they tried five times and each call was unanswered. I am pleased to say that their corporate team is going to save the day and resend merchandise lost. However, I would never again shop with Lids at Fair Oaks Mall. I highly recommend that whoever owns this franchise review who is being left to manage the store. read more

Staff are super helpful and I was able to find what I wanted but it a bit expensive, usually around $35 but it was 1/2 off so I ended up paying only $15.91 the total includes state and county taxes. read more

The sales guys were fine - both offered to help me find what I was looking for. Unfortunately, they were out of the size I wanted. The store's selection wasn't that great either. I did buy a couple hats since they were offering BOGOHO, but that was the only reason. read more

This place is awesome! Great quality hats and customer service!The worker in there when I went today was hilarious. He was so nice and talked to me and my friend, who was with me, about sports and was very personable. He didn't try to make some phony sales pitch or anything. Just him being himself. We talked baseball and football and I was happy that he didn't discriminate because I'm a girl. Even as he was on the phone for an order he made sure to tell my friend and I to have a nice day.
