Inside was tasty chocolate pillows. This was the perfect adult chocolate Easter egg for the holiday. The macaroons are also quite delicious particularly the chocolate hazelnut. Another popular dessert is the montebello, a crispy cream puff filled with pistachio cream and a touch of raspberry jelly. You really can't go wrong with any of their desserts. They are baked (not deep-fried) and generous, both in size and content. They were offering 5 different fillings the day we were there, we got one of each, and they were all scrumptious. There are some fancy-schmancy restaurants in Valpo, but for my money, this one tops 'em all.
