Extremely well stocked not only with light reading, bestsellers, and books about Switzerland, but with the latest titles form New York and London papers. Makes it eaasy to keep up with what's happening back home. Oh, and if you're longing for a taste of home, there is a well-stocked selection of British comfort food. Marmite, tinned puddings, Colman's mustard, all the brands Mum used.

They have an especially huge selection of graphic novels, both for adolescents and adults. It's an entire room in the basement dedicated to "bande dessinée." On the first floor, there is a tiny café, and there are couches all around that you can cit and read. The staff are very helpful, and they know their inventory. I was struggling to find books by Guy de Maupassant, but at Librairie Granngier, they had a whole shelf. If you love books, you will love this place.

Hall du Livre is full of everything you could possibly want. I filled up on as many French novels as I could bring home and then some boxes to boot. You can easily spend a few hours here, perusing the manga section and then find yourself in the classic French lit and wonder where the time went. This is a great bookstore in Nancy, and a nice alternative to FNAC.
