    I have had renter's insurance through this office and the customer care has been a terrible…read moreexperience. I received a letter in the mail stating my (misspelt) name along with my partner's name on what we believed to be my partner's policy. I had been paying for a completely separate renter's insurance policy for the past year. Mind you- no one from Allstate informed either my partner nor myself of this change. Yesterday, I found out that my name had been switched over to my partner's account by an unknown individual who had given them all of my (incorrect) information including my name, birth date, and email address. There were no security measures taken to ensure that it was me changing the demographic data (...because it was not me). When I called Allstate to settle this issue, they were about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. They were not understanding the questions I was asking and continued to refer to me canceling my account (which, at that time, I was not planning on doing). I expressed that I wanted my name to only be on the policy with my fiancé and to cancel the individual one that I had...sounds simple enough, yes? Apparently not. I was then transferred to the agent's supervisor, Ms. Cheryl McGhee who was MORE than unhelpful, she was rude, unorganized, uninformed, and all around not a pleasant person to work with. She repeatedly had no answers to my questions and was unable to provide any clarity as to how this could have happened. When I asked to speak to the manager she informed me that she was the highest ranking member in their office and that she did not know (shocker) how to get me in contact with anyone in the corporate office. When I had attempted to call their office again to speak about refunding the double payment that we have been making due to a lack of communication, they are fielding my calls. I have called approximately 5-6 times over the past few days and had never been sent to voicemail. Today, I called and was sent to voicemail. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were speaking with other customers, so I tried again and I was AGAIN forwarded to voicemail. I am overall VERY unhappy with the service I have received from this Allstate branch. I would never recommend anyone utilize them for your insurance needs- it's not worth the headache. I have now canceled all accounts and policies with Allstate. If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would.
