I feel that this Bistro really does excel, maybe because of the simplicity. There is a sort of semi self service system, where you get your food at the bar, and then return for you seat (inside and outside). The staff are quite nice and helpful, and although there is no service in a traditional sense, it is still good. The food; good, and simple: cold and warm. They like to also serve Ice cream and German specialities like 'Milchreis', which they do well. I had the Peanut curry chicken, with rice. Quite good - I would recommend it. read more

Wer kennt Leysieffer nicht eine Institution auf der Insel mit mehreren Standorten. Dieser Standort eignet sich bei warmen Wetter wohl am Besten, um die Menschenströme der Friedrichstraße bei einem Kaffee an einem der Stehtische im Außenbereich zu beobachten. Zudem gibt es gutes Mövenpick-Eis on-the-go im einem separaten Verkaufsbereich um die Ecke oft riecht man schon von Weitem den grandiosen Duft der selbstgebackenen Waffeln. Etwas weiter westlich (Richtung Strand) gibt es noch eine Filiale mit außer Haus-Verkauf vieler Leckerlis wie Pralinen, Kuchen, Mousse, Milchreis, aber auch defitiger Lebensmittel wie Schinken und Quark. So kann man Leysieffer auch in Ruhe zu Hause genießen. read more

Wir haben uns zurecht in die lange Schlange vor dem Eisstand angestellt. Das Eis schmilzt auf der Zunge und gibt einen sehr feinen Schoko-Karamel-Geschmack oder was auch immer man gewählt hat wieder. Einziger Wermutstropfen: 7 EUR für drei Kugeln Eis, dass ist einfach zu viel. read more
