Bearing in mind it was 2.30 pm on a Sunday and there were only 6 customers people in the whole place (and 6 staff) i thought this was ridiculous. My elderly mum took her walking stick back out of its case and we left. The young waiter apologised under his breath looking very embarrassed and i saw the manager/person in charge hiding behind the counter. The Europa is located on Borough Road; they offer a variety of home cooked meals which are always popular. On a weekend the atmosphere in this restaurant is extremely lively, most of the people here have been out drinking all day/night and now fancy something nice to eat. In saying that that atmosphere is not a bad one it may be rowdy but it is not offensive by any means. If you are ever in Middlesbrough then you have to try this restaurant

The tables themselves are candle lit and very romantic, but this is also the ideal location for catching up with friends and just having a laugh. The food in this place is amazing, they offer a wide variety of food and have a daily specials board with some great offers. The last time I went we book in advance because we had a part of eight, we were seated straight away and drinks followed pretty rapidly, it was extremely busy as it was a Friday night and we had to wait a little while for our food but we were in not rush and were not made to feel rushed by the staff. It has a very friendly atmosphere, it wasn't that busy when we went in, but people kept coming and going on a regular basis as we sat and had lunch. Overall I was very pleased with service, and the quality of the food. There is a relatively small selection of different things to eat, but the things that they do serve have many different fillings/topping to choose from. For 3 people, lunch with drinks, came to under £15 which i thought was quite good, taking into account the quality of the food, and the amount of it. This shop is a nice place to be, the music isn't to loud, and the chairs are very comfortable. What I was impressed with most was, even though it is a premises that serves food and drink, they still allowed my mums guide dog puppy in, even though lots of places frown upon it unless the dog has properly been trained.
