My parents needed help when they decided to upgrade their kitchen and bath. After twenty five years in their home, they wanted to change the kitchen from dark cabinets to something lighter and more of today's styles. We looked into the large stores but decided to take a chance on a local company that we heard advertising on the radio. Lewis and Weldon was advertising their new line of cabinetry, Cranberry Cove, not only were their prices great, but they could handle everything from design, to installation. And, all the cabinetry would be constructed right on site, at their shop. My parents could see the design plans from their design group before they started and they could visit the shop during construction to see everything being built. They are in bankruptcy having duped numerous clients to pay for cabinetry they neither built or delivered. Stay away at all costs.

Do your research on this company! His contract reads he will make every effort to complete the job within 6 months but this may vary depending on circumstances. We contracted with him late September 2023 and our job still is not completed one year later. He told us he could have it done by April or May! He has a tendency to get ahead on his billing saying items are 100% done when they are not completed. Some of his subcontractors are great but others come in and never complete even the work that can be done. When something is done incorrectly they have a bucket full of excuses, some I have never heard of. I would be very hesitant to believe reviews that are positive here or on Angi's list. If you want a good experience remodeling your home look elsewhere. read more

Best decision we made. We shopped around for a few kitchen design company's on the upper and mid-cape and settled with Lewis & Weldon. We decided to go with them because they make the cabinets themselves, have an amazing reputation and you skip the middleman. The pricing was within budget and working with Chuck and the team was very easy. We did a full kitchen renovation, took down walls, new floors, etc.. If you want custom cabinets this is the place! They are beautiful! If you want honesty and respect from your project manager you may get it if you are a man, but we are 2 70 year old women, so.....If you don't mind intrusive workers who walk unannounced right into your private living space, this is the place for you. When we spoke up about this we were chastised like children. Complete disrespect..... Our very last visit from our project manager, after over a year long process, included him stomping out of our house like a 12 year old man child. This, after we had asked for update, again, on the ordering of a replacement kitchen window, and a review of our punch list, again. We have had to order the window ourselves, as he conveniently " forgot". We had at least 7-10 chats with him about the window, as well as electrical work that was omitted. We will complete that ourselves as well. The condescending and constant verbal disrespect we received goes against all customer service tenets. " 1. the customer is always right. And 2. if the customer is wrong, see #1". This was a project costing over $150,000. Yes, I spoke with the owner about our displeasure. I'm still waiting for him to call me back.... read more

We have had 2 kitchens in 2 different properties installed by Lewis and Weldon. The first in our home is now the center piece of the home and we love to show it off. It is where we gather with friends and family. Great attention to detail and the owner was very accommodating especially with the many changes my wife kept throwing at him. The 2nd was for a rental condo. It also looks fantastic but at an affordable and commonsense price. The kitchen was installed in a timely manner and was turnkey with all appliances installed. Nightmare project. The pictures on the ads look good but you'll need a contractors license to oversee them to catch all the mistakes they make. We had to fire them 14 MONTHS into a 14 WEEK job for abandoning the project after collecting most of the $. We're headed to court now to try and recoup some of our $300k! The number of mistakes and departures from architects plans are too numerous to list. We hired structural engineers and a second contractor to complete their mess. WE'RE BACK ON THE CAPE. My wife was born on Cape Cod and after fifteen years in New Jersey she was thrilled when the company I worked for asked us to return to the Cape to run a local affiliate. We bought a house on the water and found that it needed some upgrades to fit our lifestyle. Some old friends of my wife suggested that we visit a local shop that they had used to upgrade their kitchen. Lewis and Weldon, on Airport Road in Hyannis, was our destination. Everything that we needed to consider for our upgrades was available in one location at Lewis and Weldon. Designing, building on site in their shop in Hyannis, installation, plumbing, electrical and all details concerning local building regulations. But above all professionalism, guidance and patience even when my wife changed her mind about contrasting colors and cabinet door styles. I've been doing business with Chuck and the Lewis and Weldon crew for over 10 years and have never found them anything but professional and personable. Being from a design background, I can be very picky. They have always been very responsive to my needs and input. From kitchen projects, to individual pieces, and refinishing projects they have been up front with costs and completion times. Sometimes I have had to wait for scheduling but, the quality of the workmanship is worth the wait.
