Thank you so much for the help! I'm not going to lie - I'm a college student and didn't think it was worth getting a custom resume done, but I was sick of getting these crappy customer service jobs and figured what was the harm in trying to get one done. Other resume places were trying to charge me over $300 for a simple resume, and although I could find a crappy resume done really cheap - I figured why bother paying when I could just do chatgpt. I tried that, but it just led me to the same thing and not getting me interviewed. So I reached out to Level Up Resumes to give it a shot. They helped a ton! The rep talked me through why I wasn't getting interviews, explained that the job climate is tough right now and explained how I could better my chances with some small tricks. They also helped explain the behind the scenes process with ATS and the hiring process in the hr world. I kinda knew about seo, but didn't realize that although chatgpt could help with wording and whatnot - it wasn't really good at strategizing my career and helping me get my foot in the door. I didn't realize that ATS was harming me too, where I just wasn't getting the right keywords, and even if I was - I wasn't getting the interview. I feel like I got to learn a lot and it was really informative for my career even though I reached out just for some resume writing. Thank you so much for helping me!!! I'm happy to say that I went from a crappy customer service job to moving on up to an Office Manager! 10/10 will reach out again when I need to switch jobs. Thank you!! read more

Level Up Resumes was a tremendous help for my situation. I had just finished 7 years in the United States Navy, with only the knowledge from my rate (job title essentially), and no idea how to translate those skills and military jargon into civillian equivalent descriptions. Marci did all the work for me and helped me realize skills I didn't even know I had. Currently employed while going to school, and the resume she helped write up just looks clean, professional, and helps me stand out! Huge shout out and thanks to Marci! Thank you for helping me pivot my skills! read more

Marci was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly and professional right from the beginning. I heard great things about her services from a friend whom she helped with a very lucrative career move, and I was not disappointed. She completely transformed my clunky resume and LinkedIn page, creating a new and highly effective tool to get the attention of hiring managers. I've already gotten two responses from employers, and I've only applied to a handful of postings. I love the service Marci offers! Highly recommend. read more

I am so disappointed with the services produced by Marci. I was expecting her to assist in writing and producing a resume to wow potential employers not cutting and pasting words into a resume that already existed. Who wants to pay hundreds of dollars to have someone do that??? I let Marci know I was expecting more, hoping she would rectify the situation but she said she would do nothing unless 10-15 jobs were applied for daily for an entire month. Well it has been 15 days and no calls. I wasn't impressed by her work and I guess the employers aren't impressed either. For the record I found you and hired you to write a resume for my husband. I did speak with you though messaging. We spent $225 and didn't get a resume to send out for 10 days. My husband didn't have the guts to tell you how he felt and since I am the one who found you and hired you for him I spoke up to you. I really think we had longer conversations through messaging then you had with him, so it is unfair for you to say I'm not your client. Bottom line I expressed my disappointment and we didn't want any money back. We just wanted you to do what we hired you for. If you were unable to do that I gave you an out by giving us a refund. I really liked you and appreciated you giving my husband a break since he lost his job. We have no problem providing his termination paperwork. You never prompted us to give it to you. We have it if you would like to see it. However, we spent $225 for your services and have not gotten any call backs and he has been applying for 15 jobs a day. We just spent hours drafting a resume so hopefully he gets some call backs because with yours he hasn't had any. read more

Marci's pricing was very competitive and she is somewhat quick to respond, and she's seems friendly via email so I'll give an extra star for that. In terms of editing she was one of two editors I used, and the difference in quality of editing was huge between the two. I'm disappointed with the work Marci provided as I won't be using her version of the edits. She did not provide suggestions on how to improve my document, which the other editor did. It also took Marci 11 days to do the review, compared to only 1 day with the other editor. The other part I didn't like was an extra $10 convenience fee to pay by credit card which wasn't brought to my attention upfront. I was able to avoid paying the convenience fee by doing a bank transfer but it turned out to be more trouble than I would have liked. I'm glad others have had a great experience with her, but as for myself I'm somewhat disappointed. read more

Hello all! I just wanted to take a minute and thank Marci at Level Up Resumes. She did a great job with my resume and her services are priced very reasonably. Many of these resume services are way over priced. She does not only have very reasonable rates, she offers military and first responder discounts. Marci also has a very good understanding of the software applications that employers use to filter out resumes from consideration. If you need to revamp your resume, I highly suggest that you consider this service. Thanks, derek read more

It was great working with Marci! She went above and beyond and gave me a great price. I had been looking for resume writers and they charge $800 and up but she was much less and provided quality work. She did however have many clients ahead of me so I purchased the 1-3 day rush which was still way less than the others. She took the time to counsel me and identify which career path would fit with all of my skills which in turn helped me apply for positions that I wanted to pursue. The first draft was really good. There were some areas that I wanted to change and so she made a few more revisions but really used a great strategy to highlight my skills, experience and education. I sound so much better on paper and I am happy that my resume got past the software - I know this because my friend is the Vice President of Human Resources for a well-known corporate company located in Irvine. I highly recommend Level Up Resumes and working with Marci. She does a great job! read more
