I contacted Dana, she helped get me though the night with how to feed and take care of the babies until I could get them to her and her baby expert the next day! They were quickly adopted by their foster. Seeing all of the stores on their page helped me get my scouts involved with the rescue and helping out. I also fostered a cat who had a traumatic injury, was on the list to die at animal control until Dana and her crew saved him, fixed his broken jaw and gave him a chance!! He is now fat, healthy and happy!! The reviews about this rescue could not be more wrong! I have seen these volunteers drive hundreds of miles to saves cats from euthinazia, seen them spend their own money for food and supplied and vet bills and work 7 days a week 12 &13 hour days. Cats get sick but they are quickly quarantened and treated! Visit for yourself before taking the review by either disgruntled volunteers or those who you can't do anything to make them happy!

She was too young to eat solid food and extremely fragile. I took her to this organization and it took a month of round the clock care before she was healthy enough for me to adopt her. I'm amazed that my baby survived and grew into a 7 lb tortoiseshell terror. I am so thankful for Half The Way Home's help.

Goodwill Thrift Store & Donation Center - The rent must have gone up! Prices at this Goodwill are more expensive than if I bought the item new.

This is about the Goodwill Store on Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA:…read moreOn Monday, January 26th 2026, I went to this Goodwill, intending to purchase warm coats, jackets, and sweaters (taking advantage of their Monday's .99 items), to take to the homeless because it was supposed to be in the teens that night. While I was their, I purchased a play kitchen for my grandson and came upon a cool, black sequined formal dress that looked very fun! I do not go places where this would be appropriate and the item had no price tag but I thought it would be fun to try it on. It was my size. The checkout woman is known to me and I asked the price. She looked at it and gave me a price, noting that it was a formal. Since Goodwill allows returns, I purchased it, along with over 40 items to take to the shelters, and my play kitchen (which I would have to come back for, after dropping off the items for the shelters). Today, I came back with a few returns from another day and the dress. The acting manager refused to take the dress back because the person who rang me up had not put a tag on the dress. The manager knew who had sold it to me and also knew I had purchased the dress the day before. She had a terrible attitude. It was just a day ago, I told the manager the name and description of the girl who had sold the dress to me and she just said "The return policy is on the receipt". The policy iis that the tag must remain on an item in order to return it. My item was not given a tag, which was not of my doing. She seemed to enjoy refusing to refund my purchase. In the meantime, another customer came to the counter and asked to speak to the manager. The manager moved away to speak with that customer. The cashier who was helping me told me that the dress should not have been sold to me and I agree. It the other person had said that it could not be returned, I would not have purchased the dress. I do not know what the manager's interaction with the customer was but the customer left, obviously unhappy. That acting manager (Lawra Mills) gleefully and sarcastically yelled after that customer as she was leaving the store, "Thank you! Have a good night!" and then turned to the cashier who helping me "These entitled people!" The manager is named "Lawra" Mills and I had never seen her at that store before. I have shopped at that Goodwill for years. The male manager has always been friendly and always smiles. He has a "can do" attitude. Ms. Mills quite obviously feels contempt for her customers and seems to enjoy being incredibly rude. I enjoy going to Revive and Restore (thrift stores in the same shopping center) but I will think twice before returning to that Goodwill Store. If Lawra Mills the new manager, that will make the decision for me. The Woodstock Goodwill on Bells Ferry Road, in Woodstock, is much better, friendlier, and cleaner.

I went recently with a friend and I was able to find lots of good pieces that will give me lots of smiles and to know I got a huge bag for only $40 is all the evidence I need to keep coming back here.

He was polite over the phone but once we got to the store he was very rude. The girl that worked for the organization that helped us was very kind, she expressed that she was unaware of the procedures, but would do her best and call him. I could hear him aggressively speaking to her through the phone. The phone was not on speaker and he was loud enough for me to still hear. Any person who thinks it's okay to speak to employees/volunteers in that manner is not someone I want to do business with. He also failed to mention key points of the adoption process over the phone knowing that we were driving out of the way to get there. The individual employees in store were fantastic, but I would not be looking for animals with him again. I instead recommend Cherokee animal shelter in canton off Univiter, we have adopted both of our cats from there and they have always been incredible and warm. For cats over the age of 6months the adoption is free, but you can provide donations to keep them going. They are a place that you know just want to provide loving homes, you can feel it in the atmosphere that every person working there loves their job and animals.

While I was there I ended up not only getting the donation set up but also bought a few items. And remember everything they sell is for a fantastic cause and they appreciate all our help so they can help the unfortunate animals around Cherokee County. Their current location on 92 is imho much nicer than where they were located on Bells Ferry and they have a nice variety of items for sale at extremely generous prices.
