Not sure why there aren't many more reviews for this farm! My family and I went for their fall…read moreevent that includes a hayride, corn maze, pumpkin picking from the vine and a play area for kids. Entry was $5 and kids 2 and under are free. The entry fee gets you access to everything mentioned. There were 3 food trucks in front, and also their main building consists of fresh picked vegetables (a big assortment of peppers ranging from mild to hot) and other handmade local goods. Prices are very reasonable as well. If you don't want to pick your own pumpkin, there are also ones that you can just choose and purchase in front of their main building, along with cornstalks. Let me tell you, this hayride is by far the best I've been on. From the cleanliness of the farm and the hayride, to the organization and friendliness of the employees. They close at 5pm on Saturdays, and advertise that their last hayride is at 4pm, but they went until almost closing due to there still being people who wanted to ride. There were 2 tractors that took patrons to and from the pumpkin area. The ride to the area was about 5 or so minutes, and coming back was about 10 minutes. While riding, you get views of the whole farm, a view of a pond and also ride through their orchards. The tractors and seating area were clean and in good shape. The pumpkin patch had a lot to choose from and different shapes, sizes and colors. Many were still on the vine. The price for the pumpkins is $0.42 per pound. I got one huge pumpkin, and 4 small ones for $12. Not bad at all! This farm has yearly events, and I can't wait to return. Definitely recommended!

We are new to the area and when house hunting last fall, we spotted the hay bale minions. My husband is a huge minion fan so he made our poor realtor go back to take pictures! We didn't realize at the time that the hale bale sculptures are an annual event at the farm. We've been back to get fresh produce and went to the open house a couple weeks ago and took a hayride tour of the farm. Looking forward to fall produce and seeing what this year's hay bales are!

I have wanted to try an apple cider donut for the longest time. There aren't really apple orchards…read morein Texas (that I'm aware of) so when I was visiting family in Ohio, I yelped up a storm to try to find some. It was July, so I wasn't sure I'd even find anything. Haus Red Apple Orchard & Cider Mill came up in my search. It's pretty from the outside, but from the inside it seemed a little bare. There were a number of tables set up with different items on them. They did have a few donuts, but they didn't have much of a cider taste to them. It may just have been the wrong time of the year to get them. I tried the cider slushie as well which was very tasty. I might give them another shot if I'm visiting again in the right time of the year.

What!? No yelp reviews for Haus Red Apple Orchard?! Well then, let me be the first to say that…read morethis place is awesome. In the store you can see right where they make the cider. Unfortunately today they weren't selling hot cider, but there were free samples of cold cider which was excellent and for the germaphobes, me included, yes it is pasteurized. There were a variety of apples for sale (Empire, Red Delicious, Courtland, Crispon, Golden delicious, Galas) most of which were $5-6 a bucket. The store is filled with pretty much anything that you can imagine is apple or has to do with apples. I bought a bunch of apples and some cider all of which came to only $9.80. (I've uploaded a picture of my bounty) The highlight of the visit was cider slushies sold up front and fresh dough-nuts. We were fortuitous enough to arrive when hot cinnamon dough-nuts were being brought out. It's a drive from Cleveland, but I happened to be in the area because it's halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. This is my first apple farm in Ohio, so I have no basis for comparison, but Haus certainly surpassed my expectations of deliciousness.

Sorry not as impressed by this as some people. We came here on their Festival day. Expected a lot…read moreof people and some food trucks and artisans. We got all that and then some. Parking was easy but very packed. Pretty rugged terrain to be honest. I have a bronco and that was fine but a smaller passenger car might have had some issues. Lots of divots and uneven ground. 1 way in and 1 way out. Ok going in. More challenging going out. Narrow driveway. 2 food trucks and some sweets trucks. The 2 food trucks seemed overwhelmed. Heard the hot dog truck ran out of hot dogs by 1:30p. Long lines at everything. We chose to not eat there. The artisans were good. They had about 30 or so. Some inside a barn and some outside. Some repeats with candle people being the most. The barn is nice looking. But with lots of people it was very hot on a day where it was 85 degrees. They should have some fans on the ceiling to just move some air. There is cement stairs and a railing to help people walk in to the barn. The event was focused around the flowering fields. It was $30 to pick some flowers and take them home. Here is the thing. I thought $30 was high. But plenty of people paid. You get a little vase 1 size and some scissors. Then off you go picking as many as you want that fit in to your vase. However, again by 1:30p it seemed like slim pickings literally. They are still taking money and it's a long line but most of the flowers seemed picked already. Our friends were out there and were struggling to fill the vase and get their moneys worth. Not a repeat for me. Love the idea. Just thought the execution was poor. Not the artisans fault so that is the score. I want to support local and small biz so I am being more generous than I would if it was just the farm and picking flowers.

My friend and I attended a sunset you-pick event on Saturday evening. You can come anytime between 5-9pm and for $30, you get a large plastic cup, a pair of sharp snips, and free roam in their fields. A great spot to grab Instagram-worthy photos, this is a fun activity to do with a close friend, family, or as a unique date idea. I noticed couples, families with young children, and groups of friends all enjoying themselves. You can pay with exact cash, credit card, or Venmo. The owners point you toward the best flowers currently in bloom and make sure you know how welcome you are. If you bring the cup back at any future event, you will get $5 off your next purchase. I picked well over $30 worth of some of the most beautiful and diverse flowers I've ever seen - much better than any bouquet I could find in a local store (although many local stores in NE Ohio sell Bloom Hill's blooms). Their website shares the backstory of the farm and includes lots of fun events they have planned such as a dedicated date night experience, classes that allow you to cut your own flowers and then teaches you how to arrange them, activities for children, and special events that include bouncy houses, live music, food trucks and more. Coming on a laid back Saturday evening was the perfect experience in my opinion. Not too crowded and so many flowers to choose from! I cannot wait to come back - this will definitely be my go-to whenever I want a pick me up. I won't be asking my husband to buy me flowers any more - I'll be asking him to take me here to pick my own!
