Second Saturday gatherings give folks the opportunity to mix and mingle and enjoy the art presented in the gallery space. Kids' story hours and author events are being added to the menu of this new neighborhood bookstore. The booksellers offer their help and assistance when it comes to book-selecting, but they don't pressure you into buying something you're not interested in. They can order any in-print title for you and have it at the store within days. I love this spot. It's one of those bookstores where you step in and really feel you can breathe. (Full disclosure: the owners are my friends, and if I hadn't liked their store I would have skipped out on this review all together!)
