Les Souvenirs de Paris is one of the many souvenir shops in Paris, more specifically one of the many shops near the big attraction - The Eiffel Tower or the Tour Eiffel as they say in France.
I mainly come in here, while passing to pick up some postcards, as I was drawn in by a sign which said I could pick up 10 for just 2 euros, which seemed like a good offer, working out 20 cents each.
The postcards were not special or unique, they were simply from the "Paris et ses Merveilles" selection, which is available all over Paris.
This is basically a typical souvenir shop, and isn't really the best of places to look around, and is more of something you would find in a holiday resort in a way, compared to a major city and is something in its' format which would be laughed at in the UK in towns like London, which would have very different layouts in terms of shops like this.
The store can get quite busy, being just off a major road and so close to the Eiffel Tower, so isn't in the best of locations, if you want to spend some time looking outside at the postcards etc.
Honestly, they didn't seem to have a great selection, as I found it hard to pick up 10 different ones, and there were packages to get even more than that.
Overall, this store is satisfactory, it is average and the selection can often be matched or bettered in many other places, I sadly just don't feel this shop makes the cut, it might be better than others, but still is no where near perfect either and sadly just deserves a high two star rating, rather than anything over that. read more
