They looked up the warranty on the existing tires and determined that the replacement would be covered under warranty so it didn't cost me a dime.

I would strongly caution anyone considering Heritage Auto Repair…read more We brought in our 2018 Nissan Murano because of a screeching noise. Heritage diagnosed the problem as a serpentine belt and tensioner and charged us over $560 to replace them. The very next morning the exact same noise returned. When we contacted them again and sent a video, they told us it was actually a wheel bearing issue and quoted another $1,150 for repairs. At this point we lost confidence and sought another opinion. A different shop diagnosed the actual problem immediately: the transfer case, which explained the noise and the acceleration issues. So to summarize: * Heritage charged us $560 for a repair that did not fix the problem * They then misdiagnosed the issue again as wheel bearings * The real issue was the transfer case, which they completely missed What is most concerning is that they were prepared to perform another $1,150 repair that would not have solved the problem either. Good mechanics diagnose problems before charging customers for unnecessary work. This experience felt like guessing at repairs while the customer pays the bill. I would recommend anyone experiencing drivetrain or noise issues get a second opinion before authorizing repairs here.

Do not take your car to Import Auto Repair (IAR) for repairs. Instead, go to a trustworthy…read moredealership. I own an MB C-300, and when the engine light came on, I took it to IAR because it was a local shop, and the nearest dealership is 80 miles away. IAR ran a diagnostic (charging $200) and determined that the air injection reactor pump was broken. They ordered the part and replaced it (costing $800). However, two days later, the engine light came back on. I returned the car to IAR, and they told me that Bosch must have sent a defective part. They ordered a new pump and replaced it again. But just two days later, the engine light came on once more. This time, IAR ran more tests and told me that a module was broken and needed replacement at the dealership since they didn't have the tools to fix it. So, I took my car to the dealership. However, the dealership recommended running a diagnostic again because the module that IAR identified was expensive and non-refundable. If they pre-ordered the part and it turned out I didn't need it, I'd still have to pay for it. After running their own diagnosis, the dealership discovered that a fuse was missing, which was causing the issue. They added the fuse and fixed the problem. I went back to IAR and told the owner, Carl, that a fuse had been missing, implying that they hadn't properly checked the car. Carl denied this, stating they had never touched any fuses and abruptly ended the conversation by saying, "Goodbye." How professional! When I got home, I reviewed the invoice from the first repair, and to my surprise, there was a charge for a fuse. This meant that either IAR had worked on a fuse, or they charged me for a part that was never actually used. I called Carl and mentioned the fuse. He chuckled and told me they had "put in and out fuses." So, it turns out, IAR was the one who forgot to replace the fuse. The bottom line is that Carl runs a dishonest business, and now I'm questioning whether the air injection reactor pump was ever actually broken in the first place.

On the flip side, you get what you pay for. It seems these guys buy cheap parts from O'Reilly's to get the job done - hence the low prices. They also do sloppy work. More than once after picking up my car from their shop I have noticed that although the previous problem was fixed, there was now a new problem that didn't exist before. The particular experience that caused me to look elsewhere: Once I took the Subaru in to have a noise originating from the wheel well looked at. They told us that the left front break pad was the problem. After they had replaced it, I continued to hear the noise. Only after I had taken the car to McKeirnan's was the noise eliminated: The issue was a wheel bearing, not a brake pad. The misdiagnosis cost us time and money. Since then I go to McKeirnan's.

I try to give all businesses the benefit of the doubt, however after buying a vehicle and buying…read morethe bumper to bumper lifetime warranty, we were patronized and misinformed every time we brought our vehicle into the service shop. The lady that texts information, texted like she knew what was going on with the vehicle when she didn't. We brought the vehicle in several times explaining the situation to the service department and have to pay $200 every time we bring it in, mind you costs for repairs would be substantially higher into the 1000s. One of our first repairs was the rack and pinion impacting the steering column, they charged us and when we got it back the vehicle was shaking and making clunking noises, so we brought it back, and they said a U-bolt was forgot to be put on and fastening it was not done. This was very dangerous for us to trust to bring it back for anything else as we drive quite a bit in this vehicle as it is our family vehicle. The latest starts in the spring time (April) when our dual heating and cooling was not working correctly, regardless of what we told the service department, they went and replaced several other sensors, heater core, it was a mess and the problem still persisted after several times bringing it in and paying the deductible. One time they said it was finished, had us pay and sent us off with parts and tools still in the back seat as if they weren't put in, the middle console was extremely loose flopping everywhere. So, we finally contacted the owner and GM of Wysup and they promised better service from there on out, except the problem in the spring time was never fixed fully correctly. Fast forward to today, we just received our vehicle back for and temperature control on the passenger side and rear controls. It still does not work and in this winter, the back only blows cold air and the temperature only allows syncing so both sides have to have the same temperature. They said they recalibrated everything and took several drive tests to warm the vehicle and test it and that it was functioning correctly. Now, this is a luxury vehicle and we paid for it and the warranty to have it function properly. My wife and I did a simple research of the problem and was able to give them specifics of what we found that needed to be fixed. They did not listen to anything we said and come to find out after replacing several other things, the actuator door or mechanism for how the actuator door is processed to correctly distribute the set temperatures for each seat was not fixed. Their communication used too many words, explaining themselves over and over, when we saw them as excuses and condescending as if we didn't know how our own vehicle should run. It was unfortunate and we will never do service with them again or buy a vehicle there.
