It's definitely a bit out of the touristy way since you will have to take the tram to the right bank and then walk a bit. However once you arrive, you'll find yourself in an old warehouse area reconverted to a restaurant and coworking space. It's a good place to spend an afternoon working on your laptop, find your lunch meeting, or I imagine grab a beer on a summer evening outside. The food is not the best in Bordeaux but it's simple and good. If you are vegetarian or want to eat healthy you'll find what you're looking for here. They also have a big organic store next to the restaurant.

I'd give this place 3.5 stars, maybe rounded up to 4 stars since you get a good amount of food for…read morethe price, and it's not too expensive. The quality of the food can be a little bit hit or miss, but you definitely won't go home hungry. This is a casual place that would work for large groups or families, and the space is pretty big and holds a lot of people. We walked right in without having a reservation. The 3 course prix-fixe menus are pretty inexpensive - the cheapest one is 14€ which has a slightly more limited selection of things, but still a decent selection of 5 appetizers to choose from, 5 entrees, and 5 desserts. So you should be able to find something that suits your taste. They also have a slightly more expensive menu at 20.80€ with more choices for your appetizers and entrees. The menu that I got with the soup and fish was just 14€ which is pretty inexpensive, and the menu that my husband got with the cassoulet was the 21€ one. Appetizers: - Gratinée à l'oignon - This is basically what American's call "French Onion Soup" - with a lot of caramelized onions, beef stock, melted cheese, and chunks of bread. It was good - not the best onion soup I've ever had, as I thought the broth was a tad salty, but I still enjoyed it. - Panier de légumes d'ce jour (+ 1,80€) - My husband ordered this and it was literally a huge basket of raw vegetables. I think both of us were full after just eating this. It had celery, carrots, endives, broccoli - basically as many vegetables (or more) that you would get if you got a veggie party tray in the States at the supermarket. It was good, and the vegetables were fresh, but maybe this was not quite what I was expecting for an appetizer - it was a TON of vegetables. Entrees: - Cassoulet de la Mère Ploucs - We've eaten our fair share of cassoulets, having lived in Toulouse for the last year. It was good, but not something I'd come back here and get again. I've had better cassoulets at other restaurants. - Fish with pesto sauce, fries, and tomatoes - The fish was good, and went well with the pesto sauce and fries, but I didn't think the fish was anything too special and found the quality of the fish to be just okay. Desserts: - Riz au lait - We found this dessert to be just okay, and a tad bit sweet and just a bit plain. - Pain perdu - This was actually a generous size for a dessert, and was like American "french toast" - bread battered in egg and pan fried and then topped with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel sauce. It was pretty good - again, nothing that I'd come back here again for seconds, but it was a good choice. Overall, classic/traditional French food, reasonable prices, large portions, and a large restaurant with lots of seating. I wouldn't say the quality of the food was outstanding, but I would say it was accordingly priced for the quality. If you're visiting Bordeaux for the first time and need somewhere where you don't need a reservation, haven't had a lot of French food, and value quantity/price over money, then this is a good pick.

This is the coolest bar/restaurant in Bordeaux! Yeah baby! Loving it. Can't get enough. Drinking and more drinking. Drinking with the cool bartenders (keep buying rounds for them) and eating their amazing food. This place is a little different in they have a set menu with a few select items. I got the 12 oz steak. Still small for me. My friends all got the Duck. I can't do duck. I feel bad. Their so cute. Poor duckies. My food was amazing. I got the 12 oz steak. Not Prime level like the US but it was great. Served with fries and white rice I devoured every bite. I also got the mushroom sauce. Probably because I needed food in my stomach because I drank so much. Steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. We drank a lot of great wines and beer. These guys are super cool. We kept buying rounds for everyone. That's probably part of the reason they loved us haha. But great food and great service. What more can I say. Super cool bar and restaurant. Highly recommend!

The food was enjoyable but not memorable. I started with a BAKED CAMBERBET CHEESE. This was good but a little bland. The bread they served with it was not the right type of bread to me. I needed a white baguette I stead of the multigrain loaf. For my entree, I enjoyed the PORK BELLY. The meat was the highlight of the dinner. It was tender and flavorful. The mashed cauliflower was just OK and had too much cauliflower funk. I was excited to try the BUTTERNUT SQUASH TARTE for desert. It sounded very creative. I didn't like it. It is in the same category as pumpkin pie, which is not a personal favorite of mine. I normally wish for less sugar, but in this case, the tarte was not seet enough.

Great intimate atmosphere with a fair wine and cocktail selection, but not the best food at all. -- Food -- I ordered a plate that translated roughly to "Chicken with Fermented Rice" and my boyfriend ordered the duck. He described the duck as "good, but nothing special" (+1 Food Star). The chicken was dry with almost no flavor, the rice was undercooked and somehow lacking even more flavor than the chicken itself. I won't be coming back here for food. -- Drinks -- The cocktail selection is decent, about 10 options, however, they are all traditional/common cocktails, nothing special, creative, or original. The wine selection was a little better, I tried a glass of local Bordeaux and it was fantastic (+1 Drink Star). Though there are far better wine-spots in Bordeaux, so I'd hardly consider the bar a reason to eat here. -- Service -- Our waiter was helpful and willing to speak English and translate things for us. There is also an English menu. We visited fairly late at night on a week day in the off-season and did not need a reservation. -- Atmosphere -- The main draw of this restaurant appears to be the atmosphere. It's well decorated with local art, dimly lit, and intimate. The restaurant is fairly small, seating about 20 people. -- Stars -- Food: 1/3 Stars Drinks: 1/2 Stars Total: 2/5 Stars
