This is such a difficult review for me to write; I really, really wanted this to be a 5 star experience, and it should have been at least a 4, but for us it just wasn't. Here's how it breaks down 5 stars - Awesome location! The apartments are in the trendy (and quiet) St-Roch neighborhood, a wonderful little area filled with amazing restaurants, boutique and designer shopping, local markets, pharmacy, and salons, all just a short distance from Old Québec and Old Port. The location could not have been more perfect for us, I fell completely in love with this area. - Spacious! The apartments are huge with open floor plans and floor-to-ceiling windows with a breathtaking view of the sunset over the city every evening. When I walked through the door, I thought I would never want to leave! - Every amenity you could need. Full kitchen, full-size washer and dryer, wi-fi, sound system, pretty much everything you can think of. - Big, fluffy down comforters. I spent one lazy, rainy morning in front of the huge windows overlooking the city, wrapped in one of the down comforters with a steaming mug of tea (from Camellia Sinensis, a few doors down) and a book (from the train station in Montréal). I could not have been more content or comfortable; if it's going to rain on your vacation, this is the perfect place to enjoy it. 2 stars - Security issues. There is a keypad at the entrance of the building (which is great), then there is keyless entry for the apartment door (very convenient), but the code seemed to me to be obvious (not at all secure). That made me feel uncomfortable, but worse was that there was not a security lock/dead bolt on the inside of the door. I couldn't get past feeling like someone could just walk in while we were sleeping. - More mirrors are needed, or at least a table under the mirror in the entry hallway would be appreciated. There is only one bathroom and the only other mirror is one hanging in the entry (none in the bedrooms); if the bath is occupied there is not anywhere to do your makeup or hair. - It would have been really nice to have been provided an umbrella (in the massive and empty coat closet). Fortunately there is a store across the street where we were able to purchase one. 1 star - Housekeeping clearly does not use a check list. I was really upset when I discovered all of the towels and some of the bed linens were ALL still crammed in the dryer, all impossibly tangled in a big wad, and all still wet in the center. I rewashed the towels (as well as the sheets from our bed after also discovering there was no bleach in the apartment, only detergent pods). The last thing I want to ever have to think about is the people who used the towels and linens before me (or wondering what other shortcuts housekeeping took). Doing laundry on our first evening was definitely not the high point of our stay. - Most uncomfortable beds ever. Queen-size, platform beds definitely are not made for big guys like my husband, and are super uncomfortable for me. It was pokey, creaky, and very low/close to the ground. Maybe we are just too old to be comfortable in such beds. We will definitely be returning to Québec, but until Les Lofts St Joseph upgrades to a real mattress set (king size) and adds security locks inside the apartments, sadly, we will be staying elsewhere. read more

For the price we paid, I expected more. Throughout our stay, painting was going on . There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms and no doors for privacy. There are curtains separating them from hallway. There are also no windows in the bedroom and extremely poor lighting in the master. There was only one bathroom which is really not convenient for a family. There are no housekeeping during your stay and clean towels and sheets are additional charge. The kitchen is well equipped as far as dishes and pans but you do need to bring everything else if you are planning to cook. At that price I expected at least a complimentary first day coffee . You have to take your trash to the basement!! There is parking in the back but it is hard to access with luggages. read more

This is review for Les Lofts Trevo, It is on Trevo street. It's not listed on yelp but from the email replied to me, it's from Les Lofts St Joseph. So I assume it's owned by the same group of people. I have to give it a 1 star. I booked this via travelocity.com. It's stating it's a 4 star "HOTEL". When I arrived. 1, I can't find parking anywhere. I circle 3 times around and finally gave up and valeted my car at a restaurant near by. When I get to this "HOTEL", there is no hotel. I am saying to myself, if I want the AirBnB experience, I would book with ABnB! This place has no parking, front door was locked, no staff, no front desk! I rang the door bell for 5 minutes, no one came out. I had to scramble and book another hotel nearby. Worst of all, they still charged me $190! read more

Loved my stay! The property is new so it has pretty much everything you need as far as amenities in the loft. It was also well stocked with towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies so we didn't have to buy and supplies like I offer have to with apartment rentals. I also love that the units are so far apart that noise from other guests is a non factor. The location is perfect and walking distance to old Quebec and public transportation, with a grocery store and plenty of cafes, restaurants and an Internet cafe on St Joseph. I wouldn't suggest driving... there is limited street parking and daily parking with the loft is $16/day. There was so much construction going on that getting in and out of the parking lot was literally impossible at times. Other than that, this will definitely be my go to housing in Quebec from now on! read more

Great location but no parking. There is street parking you have to pay for (if you don't you will get a very expensive ticket) There are a couple of paid parking lots nearby though. You can walk to most of the attractions in Old Quebec City from here. Our loft was very clean and had a comfortable bed, nice soft comforter, and modern amenities, we did not have any issues with the Wifi. When you check in you are emailed a code for the front door and your suite, and there is a 24-hour buzzer at the door should you have any issues. Price wise there are cheaper options in this area but the full kitchen will save you $$$ if you choose to cook your own meals. The one thing they could improve on would be to increase the temperature of the hot water in the shower. Other than this our stay very enjoyable. read more
