This was my first time at this restaurant and I'm a little skeptical of organic, sustainable fare,…read morebut I ordered the Pork Ribs and they were out of this world. They were so juicy and flavorful. The mashed sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts gave just the right balance to sweet, tanginess of the pork. It was beautifully presented with the sweet potatoes serving as a bed and sprinkled lightly with cinnamon. I started with the pumpkin soup which was the perfect starter in a cold day. My friends enjoyed the Daahl which they enjoyed immensely. There is also a great selection of organic wines which also surprised me. Leave room for dessert as the tiramisu was outstanding. It was not too sweet or heavy just delicious. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. They were also kind about speaking English when I didn't understand an item. Super attentive and the restaurant owner greeted us when we arrived, check on us at each course and made sure we were satisfied at the end. It feels like a neighborhood place with a globally inspired menu. The food is so good. You'll forget it's healthy and organic! The ambiance was lively but still quiet enough to enjoy our conversation easily. There's a great energy with the patrons and staff. I've been to a lot of restaurants in Paris but few have an authentic neighborhood feel. Yuman does. If you're in Paris, I highly recommend you head to Yuman. It's super convenient--only about 300 feet from the Bibliothèque François Mitterand métro.

Their fresh basil pesto is dreamy and the whole grain breads are great (not tasteless like some can be). Decent wine list, fair prices for organic, nice patio, and right next to the Bibliotheque Francois Mitterand Metro stop. Bon appetite!

Apparently I ordered incorrectly. I asked for a falafel sandwich in my broken French, which seemed…read morelike a safe bet at a middle eastern restaurant where it's one of only 6 or 7 things on the big menu on the wall. But when I asked for it (and pointed - she knew what I was saying), the waitress had to consult her peers to see if my outlandish request was possible to fulfill. It was, but she wasn't too happy about it. She said it would be 5 minutes, which is a lot in this fast paced, high-turnover deli where, I now understand, most people just point to the deli items they want in the case. 15 minutes later and after several targeted, forcefully annoyed glances back at the waitress with whom I had placed my order, I had my falafel sandwich. My expectations were pretty low at this point, but the sandwich was actually very good. Not the best falafel I've ever had, but one of the better incarnations I've had in Paris.

A Greek restaurant in Paris, sure and this one was very nice. I started with Tzatziki & Dolmades…read morewhich were perfect, the slices of cucumber were lightly sauced with the yogurt mint dressing, very tasty. I then had their grilled prawns with feta cheese; again, the food was very good. I finished my meal with their Mahalepi, as I had to try it; well that was not what my taste buds had ever experienced before and probably won't again but I am sure if you have the acquired taste for Mahalepi it won't disappoint you, but for this American I will pass next time, but at least I tasted it.
