They do a lot and provide great service within a great part of town. There are small designated areas for breakfast dining, indoor and outdoor dining, and near the cathedral and chateau de Versailles. Location is near several dining options. I must say, Sofien (I hope I spelled correctly) was so helpful in everything we needed. His service and attention was what made our group's experience pleasant.

The front reception attendants are friendly and made small talk. I lost my room key and they were very helpful in making me another. I did find a sock underneath my bed that didn't belong to us. So if you're missing a sock let them know maybe they can help you find it. My only complaint apart from the sock was the room was extremely small. The bathroom should be illegal as to how horribly small it was that make it very difficult to use the toilet. It was about 6-12 inches from the wall the sink was located very close to the toilet which made it difficult to maneuver and in front of you stood the door 6-12 inches that almost hit the bed every time you open it, I dreaded using the bathroom and the shower always leaks water on the floor. I would not recommend this place if your big cause it will feel like a prison cell. Have no plans on ever using this hotel chain in the future.

We arrived early as planned so we could visit the Palace of Versailles that day before checking out and going to Paris. There were no rooms available at check-in unless we upgraded our room for an additional 60 Euros or something like that. We usually just a a free upgrade but we wanted to get moving so we paid for the upgrade. We then asked for directions to the Palace and were given the very quick version which took us in the wrong direction and we ended up walking way out of the way and almost missed our tour. The food and everything about this hotel is expensive!! It's a Waldorf. Is it a good value? I think that depends on what each person values. It really as not to me. The rooms were gorgeous and the toiletries were Aesop which is expensive. The hotel is two buildings, one that is really nice and one that is okay. There are not many restaurants around so it's easy to just eat at the hotel yet there are not a ton of options and not one is moderately priced. The breakfast buffet which comes with Diamond status was excellent. The hotel is truly convenient for a night if you are visiting the palace.

Elegance, and this place has it, is often inconvenient. To accommodate fire regulations, we had to pass through three fire-doors on our journeys to and from our room. The remodeled bathroom could not find a place for the TP that would not A) get wet (from the curtain-less shower), B) prevent easy access to the throne, and -- most importantly -- C) be within reach. It involved teamwork. The room itself was functional and had the loudest wallpaper in Western Europe: red and yellow, up to a very high ceiling. We did not specifically ask for air conditioning, so we did not get it. We assumed that if the hotel "had" A/C, every room would have it. Not so much. Our room was decorated in the French style, tall ceilings and tall French windows that open. The wallpaper matched the massive drapes. Huge bathroom with huge soaking tub for the weary traveler. No coffee maker or fridge in the room. The bed is pretty hard but the pillows are comfy. Friendly staff and beautiful reception room. Maybe not everyones cup of tea but t's just what I was looking for.

Easily cleaned but will have to tell the management. Number of stars to give? This is the only place in Versailles I have stayed. I have been here 3 times over 3 years. Compared to a Grand Hyatt it is a 3 star. Compared to a Motel 6 it is a 5 star. I would compare to a mid-Level Hilton or Radisson.

On June 3rd, 2025, after checking into my two connected rooms, a smoke detector alarm was triggered by steam from my son's shower. My wife immediately attempted to call the front desk to inform them, but no one answered. A staff member came to my door and asked if I was smoking and I told them it was steam from the shower. To my shock, a hotel-wide evacuation announcement followed. The next day, our room keys were deactivated. I was informed by a staff member named Joe that I was locked out due to "tampering" with the smoke detector, and he demanded a $569.39 "pre-authorization" to regain access to our belongings, which I paid under duress. On June 5th, I spoke with General Manager Florence Audinos. She was dismissive, loud, and publicly accused me of malicious actions that impacted 120 guests, even falsely claiming I had removed the smoke detector. She refused to provide a copy of the report regarding the alleged removal of the smoke detector.This is especially frustrating as I'm a Platinum IHG member of 11 years with no prior issues. Feeling unheard, my family and I sought assistance from the US Embassy on June 6th, who advised us to contact local police as withholding belongings and demanding a fine is against French law. On June 7th, four Velizy-Villacoublay police officers responded. During their call with Florence Audinos, she denied withholding our belongings and continued to falsely accused us of tampering with the smoke detector. I have video evidence from my son clearly showing the smoke detector in place while the evacuation is in progress so how did I tske it down? I am requesting a full investigation, a refund of my 158,000 points for the stay, a refund of the $569.39, and a formal verbal and written apology from Florence Audinos and IHG. The treatment we received was deplorable and turned our dream trip into a nightmare. I have informed the American Embassy and my legal counsel.

There is also a very nice large shopping center called Velizy 2 nearby ( 10 minute walk). The Velizy has plenty of shops restaurants and a large grocery store. The hotel is very nice and clean with hand sanitizers available. Rooms are a little small but well organized. The bed was quite comfortable. I have attached several photos of the room. The two missing items I would have liked to have were Hair Conditioner & a Mini Fridge. The air conditioning was adequate to keep our room comfortable. Breakfast is pretty good and is buffet style. There are no hot items, but plenty of everything else, including DELICIOUS CROISSANTS . The Lobby is very nice with cute, inviting decor. This hotel has a very cool program that we haven't had in any other hotel. They give you a special door hanger for your door if you choose not to have housekeeping services, and you earn 500 points for each day you don't have housekeeping clean your room. We participated and earned almost 6000 points for our stay. DANIELA was awesome during check in. SILENE and SHANEKA were also friendly and helpful. Thanks for an amazing stay

I went in May and even though it was in the upper 80s, the A/C was not on. We asked about it and the staff informed us there's nothing they could do, that it didn't get turned on to the whole hotel until June. It was rainy and humid and the window was open in our room so the floor was wet. No fans so we needed to keep the window open for some air. Not only is the room hot, there is only an extremely heavy down comforter, no flat sheet so sleeping was almost unbearable. The water pressure in the shower was so low that my normal shower took twice as long. Wi-Fi is pretty much useless, I couldn't connect most of the time. Parking is horrible, there's an underground garage but getting in it was difficult even in a small car and the spaces were so small that other drivers took up multiple spots. The location was pretty convenient but GPS had issues directing us to it (on Google and the car rentals navigation system). I wanted to like to love this hotel, but I just can't. I would never choose to stay here again.
