Although the menu prices may be in the higher end, the restaurant offers excellent fixed price options that are not only budget friendly but leave your palate happy and your stomach satisfied. On this day, we had the duck confit, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and falling off the bone. We also ordered the cod, which came w a buttery white sauce that complimented the fish very well. For dessert we had a strawberry "mouse", which was light and more of a yogurt consistency but simply delicious. Coffee came with some small pastry bites that were a great ending to the meal.

Grabbed a quick lunch here a few days ago and forgot to check in. Fantastic, pre-made (yet made in…read morestore) sandwich, and a lovely staff member who jiggered a tea to go for me when they ran out of lids. Wish I could've stayed, but had to catch a train. Loved this place!

We followed with a local appetizer platter, which included the famous Farci Poitevin. For dinner, I chose a delightful seafood dish cooked in Pineau des Charentes.
