The space is small but very cool. They have a little flip menu with the history of the space, a nice sized appetizer menu, and most importantly the beer...AWESOME. We got a flight of 5 beers, and the Vienna cream ale was by far my favorite. We wanted to try a few we hadn't had before, and as a huge fan of Kolsch beers, my wife jumped on the chance to try theirs. She loved it and even bought a 6 pack to bring with us. The only beer I didn't love was the Darkth Udder, it had an interesting smoky flavor, but the taster sized glass was more than enough of this choice. All in all, for the small size of the town, I was beyond impressed with the big flavor and refinement the beers presented at Walnut River. Tia, our bartender was quiet but friendly. She let us sit there for a while to go over the beer list. I like sours and they had a Berliner Weisse on tap. Tia asked if I wanted syrup in it, super traditional and super old school. The tartness of the beer was balanced out by the raspberry syrup. Tia also let me try out some of the other beers. If I had come to TPB earlier I probably would have had some space left but their stout and ESB were super tasty. A low key place to check out.

The brewery is small and very welcoming. The people inside were having a good time, there was children here too. It is nice to see a brewery be friendly to children and dogs! I got a flight and loved each beer I had. I really enjoyed both of their brown beers. I texted all my friends and coworkers we need to come by sometime. We tried the Lake Beer and the HBIC which was a black cherry sour. They were both really good (and I'm not much of a beer drinker). The atmosphere is warm and invites comfort. It's very clean and fresh. There is plenty of room to lounge around and talk to friends or simply sit and enjoy sports on the TV's.
