The coffee guide on the walls are a great touch for selecting the right drink for you. Convenient location near local tourism spots, though it gets quite warm in the sit-down area around back thanks to the natural sunlight filtering in from the Passage. I appreciated that they bothered with latte art on a to-go beverage order, which is something that's frequently disregarded back in the States. I was more impressed by the dark chocolate pistachio bark than the assortment of specialty chocolates (subtlety varies widely between flavors), but the coffee certainly hit the spot. The complimentary choice of a chocolate accompanying drink orders is a nice touch. I had hoped for some pedestrian pastry options like a pain au chocolat, but I'd settle for trying their sinaasappel oranje patisserie next time, along with their gepofte paprikasoep, warme quiche, and da hong pao thee.

Though the shop space is quite small, Delicious Sweetness has a wonderful and reasonably varied selection of French pastries, from vanilla/chocolate/coffee eclairs to an array of different macarons to all sorts of beautiful tarts (I ordered the passionfruit coconut one, but the motorcyclists were apparently huge fans of the lemon meringue tarts). They also have breakfast pastries - the croissants looked amazing, but unfortunately, I did not have the chance to try them. Both the coffee eclair and the passionfruit coconut tart were delicious - not too sweet, and clearly freshly made. The coffee eclair had a slightly crunchy, chewy exterior that was not at all compromised by the ample filling of coffee-flavored cream, and the ring of desiccated coconut on the passionfruit coconut tart provided a great texture contrast to the smooth, slightly tart passionfruit curd. The owner was quite friendly, and the shop accepts both credit card and cash. If you're in the area and craving something sweet, definitely stop by Delicious Sweetness!

They also carry cheese from other countries. But you're in the Netherlands, why would you wanna buy French cheese here? I didn't know about this shop at first, but it was recommended by my Airbnb host in den Haag. I told her about our intention to visit Gouda and find some cheese, then she told us why go there when there's a cheese shop just around the corner? The guy there was friendly to help us with the selection. He even offered samples from whatever cheese you wanna try. Of course you can't be ridiculous. He recommended plain Gouda without any herbs and spice because that's the best way to taste the cheese, but I'm not really a purist and I ended up falling in love with their fenugreek (medium aged) Gouda. Omg so good, nutty, creamy and tastes a bit like coffee! I have never seen fenugreek Gouda in the US so this is definitely one of a kind. Have a cheesy day!

It's the style where they don't focus on the chocolate shell but in the creamy filling. I did find the store to feel a bit stuffy but the service was helpful and friendly. I docked three stars because they sold us chocolate peices that had already started blooming (turning white with age and moisture). They should have thrown it out! Wtf!? You can see one piece blooming (purchase an hour ago) in the photo of chocolates in a plate at home. I docked anther star because I hated these chocolates. They were all focused on the filling and not the actual chocolate. The fillings themselves were overly sweet but had flavors that were indistinguishable from each other. Instead of using like almond or pistachio or hazelnut or martzipan they each tasted like sugar. Even my daughter didn't want the uneaten chocolates. I'm sad to say I bit each one (of 7) and threw the rest in the trash. :-/ We're about to visit Belgium this week so I'll look for other could shops.

We used to spread bottles amongst our friends, but not anymore. Each time we visited them and brought champagne with us, we were asked: 'Why?
