Dined here for a family event and the food options were great and service was friendly.

Private room at Leonardo's

Yesterday I celebrated my graduation at Leonardo's and everything was SUPERB. Rob and Kim are amazing and the food was delicious. The had family style appetizers, family style pasta and salad, as well as our plated entrees. I highly recommend this place. They even accommodated the kind of music my party wanted to hear. Overall, they made my graduation dinner an ultimate success.

I thought Leonardo's is pretty good. It's byob so that's a plus. It gets crowded so make reservations. And it was a bit noisy. Service was great and so was the food. I had the chicken picca. I think probably one of the better ones I've had in awhile. The portions are massive. Only downfall. The Caesar salad more like dressing was absolutely horrible. It was not a Caesar dressing I'm used to. I thought it was water down and had a sour after taste. Cannoli was excellent!

Hear foods great! Review to follow.

Myself & my husband met 4 friends here for a wonderful dinner the other night. As I was pulling in to the parking lot I noticed the surrounding area looked a bit run down. Leonardo's however had the entire front of the restaurant covered in plants & flowers galore. Once inside we were promptly seated & offered 2 types of bread. Pesto & one with a red tomato sauce on it. Both were delicious & there was plenty. I opted for the special of the night, a cod dish with clams, mussels tomatoes in a white wine garlic sauce, over fettuccine. Likewise for my husband. Both dishes came out piping hot, fresh & delicious. Our entire group loved their dinners & they all came out hot. The restaurant is BYOB which we loved. A pitcher of ice water was left at the table & the waiter continually filled our glasses throughout the night. The only thing negative I would comment on was the print on the menu. It was VERY small & the place was on the dark side (although quite nice inside). For seniors like me that is a bit of a problem. I actually carry a magnifying glass with a light with me for just such an emergency but we did mention it to the owner who seemed appreciative to know it was a problem. Prices are very reasonable & we were so stuffed by the end of the night none of use had room for dessert. Everyone had plenty of leftovers to take home & we all left full & happy. I highly recommend Leonardo's!

This restaurant has good entrees. However, I don't know what happened to their bread. It used to be good and now it's not all that great.

I felt like I was in the city with the gorgeous lighting and ambiance. My friend and I went on ladies night, where every Wednesday they have a DJ and 10% off food/drinks at the bar! We started off with 3 different apps, the zucchini fritte, the meat and cheese board for two, and the rice balls. Everything was phenomenal! The rice balls were stuffed with shredded beef instead of ground beef which I liked and the Gorgonzola cheese sauce was tangy and savory. The zucchini fritte was fried to a golden crisp and felt light and satisfying. The meat and cheese board is truly perfect for pairing with some pre-dinner drinks! Neither of us felt like drinking that night so I got the Stella Rose red berry spritz and she got the black berry spritz. These were fruity and sweet and perfect for a night out. Great alcohol free options. For dinner I got the cacio e pepe which came in a huge serving. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and I really liked how creamy and cheesy it was without feeling too heavy. My friend got the eggplant rollatini which was a humongous portion and she devoured it and still had some for leftovers. These were both great meat-free options. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake which was rich and decadent. Perfect for sharing but mine was all for me! My friend had the creme brûlée which she indulged on without a single bite to spare! Can't forget to mention the impeccable service! Our server Andres was so sweet and took excellent care of us and always checked in with us. I'm so glad I finally checked out Spigola! This is a perfect restaurant for a great meal. Since it is an elevated atmosphere, this makes it extra special for birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, etc. With their big event space in the back, Spigola's is a wonderful spot for showers, rehearsal dinners, parties, even intimate weddings. What a wonderful gem to have in the Mercer county dining scene!

Absolutely fantastic! We celebrated our son's college graduation here, and I cannot say enough good…read morethings about the fantastic food and service we received at Genaro's. The ambience is smart casual, and not fussy, but with food and service that you'd expect at a place that charges double the prices. All of the food was top notch. Standouts are the artichoke heart Francese, mozzarella en corrozza, and fried calamari appetizers; and chicken Italiano, chicken marsala, and salmon Neapolitan mains. Their tiramisu and tartufo capped off the meal perfectly. If you're in Trenton or Princeton, Gennaro's is worth the drive.

The Veal Sorrentino sounded mouth watering by the ensemble cast of ingredients listed on the menu (prosciutto, eggplant, mozzarella, light marinara-white wine). Overall, this dish was very disappointing, I couldn't taste any flavor in the meal. Once again, the spaghetti from an Italian restaurant was lackluster as well, this is like ordering a wonton soup from a Chinese restaurant and it not meeting your expectations. We tried a gluten free pizza as well, my girlfriend enjoyed it. I can only describe the pizza being almost like a cracker. This is not neccessary a bad thing but think flatbread pizza, not the type of pizza where you get a nice chewy bite. At $50+ plus dollars between the two items I can say I am glad I gave it a shot but I would not bring home take out from here again, I would give it a try in person though and reevaluate after the experience. As always people SYOY!!!

My Veal was very tender and the vodka sauce was delicious. My wife had the black pasta with shrimp and crabmeat. There were only 4 shrimp and very little crab, but of course lots of fresh pasta. She loved my dish. We would definitely go back and try other dishes.

Pros: I genuinely can't think of a single favorable aspect of our dining experience…read more Cons: Everything--from the service, to the table spacing, to the food quality--was an issue. The ambiance and layout were problematic throughout the meal. The table spacing was already uncomfortably tight from the start, and toward the end of our visit, a party of 10 was seated in a way that completely blocked off the front left side of the already small dining area. This left only a narrow path on the right side for entry and exit. Given how confined the space became, it raised legitimate concerns about safety and whether the layout could pose an issue in the event of an emergency. After waiting 40 minutes for the complimentary bread, I finally had to speak up and ask for it to be brought to our table. Given that there were several open tables both inside and outside, we couldn't understand why there was such a tremendous delay with such a simple task. For an additional "starter" my dining partner ordered the Caesar salad which was completely drenched in dressing. While we were initially excited about the homemade pasta entrees, we were extremely disappointed once out they arrived. I understand that homemade pasta is typically served al dente, but neither dish was cooked properly. I had to cut my pasta with a knife because a fork simply wasn't enough, and my dining partner couldn't cut several pieces of his pasta at all--some were still noticeably crunchy. I was especially surprised, as I've dined here before and don't recall these kinds of issues--perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we weren't able to address any of this during the meal because our waitress, Marti, never checked on us from the time she delivered our entrees (about an hour after we were seated). Not once, not even upon delivering the check did she ask us how our meals were! Before leaving, I chose to address the server, Marti, directly and share our experience. I expressed my disappointment with both the service and the food, but her response made an already bad experience significantly worse. Every comment was met with a large, clearly insincere smile and a dismissive "I'm sorry to hear that," with no effort to actually resolve anything. A good server would show genuine remorse, offer to involve a manager, or at the very least attempt to make things right--whether by addressing the issue or offering to comp part of the meal. None of that happened. There was no accountability, no urgency, and no real acknowledgment of the situation--just a phony, rehearsed response that felt completely disrespectful. To make matters worse, shortly after we left, my dining partner became ill, experiencing both diarrhea and nausea, along with severe stomach pain that has now lasted over 14 hours and is still ongoing. If I could give this experience a 0 out of 5, I would.

For the quality and amount of food, it was appropriate. My only complaint was the heating. It was cold. They had space heaters around but it didn't provide much warmth. I could see people being deterred to stay and eat given the temperature indoors. Certainly I don't think I could bring my wife here because she's sensitive to it being cold.
