She advised me on the shape that would be most elegant and flattering for my face. She worked with me over multiple sessions to repair bad shaping from previous amateur waxers and my own overzealous plucking. I could not trust my eyebrows to anyone else again! This was hands-down the most amazing facial I have ever had. I was glowing like Times Square after I stepped out of my facial with Lene! The facial I received was the Deluxe European. It began with cleansing, followed by a lot of exfoliation. The method of exfoliation Lene uses was really interesting. She puts the scrub on your face and rubs it until it dries - no water is added to lather the exfoliate. This was slightly painful, but yielded some seriously incredible results! After exfoliation, there was some steaming action followed by a pumpkin enzyme peel. This costs extra but is totally worth it! The results of this peel were quite impressive - my skin literally looked angelic. The enzyme peel was followed by a lot of extractions (aka: Ouch!) but Lene really made sure to remove every bit of dirt and grime from my pores. She ended the extractions with a moisturizing mask and massaged my entire face. My hands and feet were massaged earlier in the session before being covered with heated gloves - which was an amazing treat. And the room itself was lovely, very high ceilings and beautiful candles. The facial lasted over an hour and was around $80 - a total steal for something so intricate. I will definitely be back! read more

I have been going to Lene's Place for over a year now and I don't see my self going anywhere else. If you really want a Good Cleaning , then Lene is your girl! I also do the Pumpkin Peel at 20% which is good for removing dead skin on the surface. She has also great products that i use to buy at the Beauty Supply , but now i buy it from her. If you need electrolysis , I can not say enough good things about the Electrolysis specialist there Mary! People actually fly from out of town to see her, because she is that good! read more

This review is long overdue. I've had issues with acne since my teens. I've tried numerous dermatologists, facialists, and various procedures, and nothing worked. (I was even given two rounds of Accutane in the 90's!) Lene is the first specialist to give me a facial with extractions that left my skin looking calmer afterwards, and didn't make me break out more. I started going to Lene every 3 weeks to start, and then tapered down the visits to every month to month-and-a-half. My skin is much more under control with regular sessions with Lene, and I can now get away with going every other month or so. (I've been going for about 5 years.) Although Lene has great products for sale, she's never made me feel pressured in any way to make a purchase. In fact, she only asked me if I wanted to pick up products during my first visit. When she puts something on my skin that feels extra good during the treatment (like a balm) is when I ask what it was and buy it. The salon is super clean, and the environment is very calming. Lene even massages and wraps your hands and feet in a warm moisturizing treatment before your facial as part of the procedure! Going to Lene is a surprisingly affordable treat, and I highly recommend her services. read more

Perhaps I should wait with the review until I have tried Lene's expertise, but I just love Mary and her electrolysis so much that I just want to rave about her! I can't wait 'til I try Lene's services, as she is very kind, has great energy and is just as wonderful as a person can be that you would like to care for such an important thing as your face. Her place is clean, neat, well kept and I have bought one of her own brand body lotions that is not only filled with potent and natural ingredients, but smells good too! Now to Mary. The most genuine and kind person I've met in this industry. I just clearly love the woman. She is quick with her machine, and she makes me comfortable enough to work on any area desired (think:intimate area). She is chatty and friendly enough to put you at ease, and let's you rest and rejuvenate in silence when needed to. That is a social skill that is GOLD! Electrolysis is not very painful, but it's not without pain either. I apply numbing cream prior to walking in, so I have no issues with her work at all. I am hair free in the areas, no issues, and this is permanent. Mary is worth her prices and more in my opinion. If I was rich, I would tip her in the same amount as the whole price of services. And I read some positive reviews so I decided to try Mary. She was very nice, professional and helped me with my problem areas. I will definitely go back as needed and would recommend to anyone after just one visit I am fully satisfied. So happy I found this place! As a kinesiology student I had heard a lot about paraffin baths and Lene offers it in her spa. It left my skin feeling baby-soft and loosed up my joints. I loved the whole experience. I like that the place is clean and well kept. My mom got the cleansing facial and she really liked the way it rejuvenated her face. I just had my first facial here and have already booked my next one! I have always been on the fence about facials because I have sensitive acne prone skin and have found that they are usually done by people who really don't know what they are doing and they use a lot of fancy products that make me break out right after. The place I have been going to recently which offers a more "medical" type facial isn't at all relaxing and hurts a lot! This place was the perfect balance. Lene (the owner) is so pleasant and kind and has so much experience. She has been doing facials for 20 plus years and was so informative about my skin type. She really got in there and was SO thorough with the extractions. She left no pimple untouched. And she did so much prep before hand with massage, steam and exfoliation (I actually fell asleep and I never ever nap) that it didn't even hurt too much during the extractions. It was a pampering facial yet one that really got the job done. And my favorite thing was she wasn't pushing her products on me. I hate when they do that.
