The sound guy never showed up and the owner had to do the sound. He didn't appear to know how to work the equipment and we lost over 30 minutes of our performance time due to his inadequacy. I would not recommend this place as a performance venue unless you plan on bringing your own sound. We were prepared to bring our sound and they assured us they could handle it. And also when we first got there, we had to clean up some of the tables and organize some of the seating. They didn't appear very prepared for us.

Diane and Erick do an awesome job and all the kitchen staff makes awesome meals. I've never heard of anybody going away hungry. If you're in the area when they have one of their dinners, whether it be a walleye dinner, a steak dinner, or a German dinner, you should stop by. You will not be disappointed. The entire hall was divided in two, half for the ceremony, seating 100, while the other half of the hall was for the reception. Review: I have to say this was a great experience. The owner, Jim LaRoy did a wonderful job communicating with us throughout the entire process. We had so many questions, and much of the planning, like always was done last minute. Mr. LaRoy did a great job, and runs a great hall. The food was wonderful, there was plenty of it, and it was buffet style. My wife and I are not fancy people that need a $75.00 plate of food for the wedding, we enjoyed the "comfort" foods, that were prepared very well. We did not hear one negative comment about the food the entire night! Open bar was great, dance floor was great, and overall layout was great. The price per person was very low compared to other places we looked into before booking. We were able to use the money to invite many extra people instead of going to a very expensive venue. Overall, a very nice banquet hall, especially at the hall. Proud to have had my wedding experience here, we will never forget our special night here!

Seating was comfortable and there was enough room between guests, without feeling crowded. The church was repurposed as a venue in 2021 and what a great idea this was, both preserving history and giving locals the opportunity to experience life changing events inside. Outside, the church has quaint architecture and is located on a quiet street. Our event hosts were wonderful and gracious, but I can't help but feel terrible seeing how uncomfortable people were here. We attended a wedding here with roughly 150 people, and it was incredibly tight, hot, and uncomfortable. The chairs and tables set up for dinner were jam-packed so tight, that no one was seated comfortably, sitting with the tables pressing into our stomachs as we ate. For one person to stand up and leave the row, the entire row had to stand up and step out of the row to make room. There was also no room to move around between tables, and because of this, it took almost an entire hour just to get all the attendees through the buffet. Even after getting food, the lack of space meant nobody could get a water refill (which could've been avoided had they been filled before guests were seated), or get up to use the bathroom. Speaking of which, there were only 3 working toilets in the entire venue, one of which had a door that didn't lock, and apparently had flooded earlier in the day. I would strongly recommend ownership take a look at their liability if there was an emergency in the room with so many people and so little ability to move. In addition to being much too small for 200 people, the area set up for the dance floor is clearly not fit to have even 50 people dancing. With roughly 30 dancers, the floor visibly bowed up and down to a dangerous level. It also appears there is no air conditioning at this venue, the heat inside the building was incredibly uncomfortable, even when it was only 75 degrees outside. There were only 2 ceiling fans in the main area. What's worse, was the lack of water. There was no water brought up to the main area until very late in the evening, you had to walk downstairs to get more, and no additional cups were provided for anyone to get the water that was provided. Parking was also an issue, it was necessary to have everyone double or even triple park to fit everyone in, there is absolutely not enough space for a 200-person event to park at this facility. Overall, the event space is beautiful and gorgeously decorated, but is clearly only fit for smaller events of less than 100 people. I would highly recommend the ownership of this venue revise their recommendations for party sizes.

To our delight, there was a sweet little sitting area between the 2 rooms where we played card games, enjoyed tea from the service buffet (filled with snacks btw) and felt like it was our own secret space. The home is decorated gorgeously with so many comfortable touches, like A/C, coffee makers, robes in the bedrooms, etc. that it checks all the boxes of an historical B&B without being "musty and quirky" IYKYK. Before we even talked about music, Abay wanted to talk about us. We met with him well in advance of our event, and the majority of our one-hour meeting focused on my husband and I as a couple, who we are as people, who are friends are, who will be attending the wedding, and the overall feel that we want to create. In discussing our needs for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, Abay was extremely knowledgeable about our venue and what type of sound amplification we would need. After our initial meeting, we kept in communication with Abay via phone and email, and we felt comfortable and confident that we were in very capable hands. Additionally, he communicated in advance directly with our ceremony musicians to arrange their sound needs as well, which I consider another mark of DJ DC Production's professionalism and service. They communicate well with the client, other vendors and with each other. The day of the event was smooth and the reception was just plain fun.
