Buon Fresco - Cupola finishing with Gilding, Stippled Color, and 4 panel mural of Venice

Buon Fresco

(5 reviews)

I attended two venetian plaster classes prior to attending the classes at Buon Fresco. One was a 5…read moreday class and another a 3 day class. Having taken the three that I did, if I had to only take one, I would 100% choose Buon Fresco. Communication was very excellent and documents were organized in a timely manner. All my questions were answered in a clear and concise manner while organizing our class dates. There was nothing I was uncertain of when I showed up for the first day of class. As for the classes themselves, there are nuances and insights to Victoria's instruction that distinguish her from the rest and let you know you're in the presence of someone who has mastered this craft. Beyond the application of plaster there are courses offered which the other classes ( I attended ) didn't address at all. Most notably among them is the color theory class. The ability to color match and create custom color for clients will infinitely distinguish you from everyone else. Marbling courses are a must for anyone looking to further distinguish themselves and watching Victoria take a blank white board and transform it into a piece of marble is worth the cost of admission alone. Additionally there is a business course offered which contained valuable insights into industry specific best practices. There are also a few additional, more advanced courses, which I didn't have the time to take unfortunately. All that being said, I can't recommend Buon Fresco enough. Highest marks for sure. If you're interested in learning venetian plaster, based on my experiences, this is the school to go to, period.

Buon Fresco Decorative Academy will teach you and leave you with everything you need in order to…read moresucceed with decorative arts. The courses are structured beautifully and Victoria manages to cover a vast amount knowledge in just a couple of days. If there is anybody out there wanting to learn faux finishes or any other sort of high end finish, Buon Fresco is the way to go!

Dunk & Bright Furniture has truly made my day. I purchased a new couch at an extremely great price…read morewhich was needed badly. Kyle handled my sale & he was great & knowledgeable. Today my couch was delivered on time by Jordan B. & Gilbert F. in such a great manner. They were kind, efficient & placed the couch perfectly in the room. I am very impressed with Dunk & Bright & letting all family & friends know about this. Many thanks!!!!!

There isn't a rating low enough to apply. Had to give one…read morestar to continue with this review. We purchased a Flex Steel Power Recliner 3 1/2 years ago. Now I don't know about anyone else, but Id expect a "leather" recliner to last more than 3 1/2 years but not he case with ours. Within the first year the "leather" started peeling/breaking down and of course it was all due to consumer care according to Flex Steel but since it was within the 1st year of purchased it was repaired (not replaced) with new sections of material. About 5 months ago, the same thing started happening on the left side arm rest only much worse but this time because it was out of warranty, Flex Steel nor Dunk & Bright would not repair, replace or return for full credit. Through all this we discovered our "real" leather recliner is "bonded" leather. BIG difference and something that should have been brought to our attention at time of purchase. Now you may think its asking for a lot after 3 1/2 years to have this addressed with full coverage costs but honestly, do these two companies expect a customer to drop over $2,000.00 on a piece of furniture only to have the covering start breaking down after 3 1/2 years? I thought i was dealing with reputable companies but guess not. And as far as consumer care goes (our care), we purchased about 15 years ago an Ekrons Stressless "real" leather recliner and about 7 years ago a Natuzzi "real" leather recliner. To date absolutely NO issues or signs wear. Guess that's what happens when you purchase quality furniture from reputable companies. Never again Dunk & Bright or Flex Stee.
