Jazz Bar The Green Lady Lounge is an exclusively Jazz lounge featuring Kansas City Jazz musicians A little hole-in-the-wall with a cool, throwback vibe. Think speakeasy! The jazz bands were great--lively but not too loud--and we'll definitely be back. It's a perfect spot to hang out before or after dinner since they don't serve food. Even with a full house, our server checked in on us often. This two-level jazz club near downtown Kansas City was a fun find for us. We did not make it to the downstairs bar. We will save that for next time! The signage can be a little tricky to spot if you're not familiar with the area. Hummus & crackers for a snack My drinks: Mocktail - ORANGE-CRANBERRY MARTINI - Orange juice, cranberry juice, lime juice, simple syrup, grenadine, orange bitters, orange peel then I had the ETHAN ORANGE - Cold brew coffee, cinnamon simple, cream or oat milk, black walnut bitters, orange peel. Jons drinks: MANHATTAN - Rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, angostura bitters, cherry then he had a KANSAS CITY COFFEE - Rye whiskey, whiskey cream, cold brew coffee, simple syrup Total bill was only $70 We will be back! 1809 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO. #datenight #makingmemories #nightout #supportlocal #jazzmusic

The moment you walk in, you're hit with an atmosphere so unique, there's truly nothing else like it. A couple of weeks ago, we saw Paul Simon there and checked out the VIP bar--a classy touch. The bartenders were on point, pouring a solid selection that beats most arena slop by a country mile. Not only is The Midland an architectural icon, it's laid out with fan-friendly genius. Growing up in KC, I've parked my behind in just about every seat over the years, and I swear there isn't a bad one in the house--whether you're front-and-center or chilling in the balcony, you'll feel like you've scored the hookup. Grab tickets to a show at The Midland--you'll thank me later.

We have general admission tickets as we brought out 2 boys to their first concert here. It was the perfect first concert! There were plenty of bathrooms and bars throughout. The general admission for this concert was standing room but the floor is tiered and there were some chairs in the back. Overall it was a great experience.

It's not my normal scene but I've always had a good time and I feel like it's run really well. It's located smack dab in the middle of power and light. Parking lots are around but it'll cost at least $20. You do have a streetcar option. I usually park a mile away and just walk. There are a ton of restaurants that surround it, a large stage, tvs, and lots and lots of bars. It's outdoors but there's a large canopy that blocks some of the sun. There are two levels, the upper level is great if it gets crowded because the lower level gets a little stuffy and hot when bodies start packing in. You can enjoy a bit of a breeze if you're on the upper level and it tends to not be as crowded. But if you want to be in the action then I recommend the lower level for you. Bathrooms are relatively clean. I've seen and experienced worse and theirs are way better than I ever expected. The age range tends to skew younger. Like early to mid 20s. A sprinkling of 30-40 year olds. Then maybe a few that are older. It's definitely frat/sorority vibes, at least in my experience but the kids have always been well behaved. There's lots of surrounding restaurants that you can get food and beverages from. Plus bars throughout. Drink prices are a bit higher than a regular bar but the quality and sizes are much better than at other popular venues so I don't complain. For 20 bucks I can get 32oz of Tank 7 at Johnnys. They have several cocktails, I like Besos crushers. I did see some individuals with buckets of booze from somewhere. Food wise there's a bit of everything-regular bar food, bbq, tacos, Irish food, pizza, and probably other things that I'm not recalling. The pizza by the slice is decent but I tend to gravitate once again to Johnnys because I can put in an order to go and grab it and go home after whatever event. Fun spot. The soccer watch party was a super fun time and I honestly enjoyed it more than the FIFA fan fest. The hosts are great. Definitely check out an event here sometime.

Worst concert venue. They oversell tickets, it's extremely crowded and dangerous in the heat…read more Nowhere to stand and you are pushing past people just to get to a bathroom or get a drink. You can barely see the artist unless you are at the very front or elevated. Will never go to a concert here unless there's some VIP standing room which is still not great.

Incident Details: Time/Location: Saturday, May 16, 2026, at approximately 7:30 PM at the back entrance of T-Mobile Center during the UMKC graduation. What Happened: I exited and attempted to re-enter through the back entrance. I was stopped by security and told I could not re-enter. At the same time, I personally witnessed a white family being allowed to re-enter through that same entrance without issue. I was singled out and denied the same access granted to others. Escalation: When I asked to speak to a supervisor, my request was ignored by security. A KCPD officer on site then threatened me with arrest simply for asking for a supervisor. I was not disruptive, threatening, or violating any posted policy. Staff Involved: I do not have badge numbers or names. The security staff and KCPD officer involved can be identified via security camera footage from the back entrance at approximately 7:30 PM on May 16, 2026. I request that this footage be preserved immediately. My Concerns: Discrimination: Denying me re-entry while allowing a white family to re-enter is disparate treatment based on race. This violates Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Missouri Human Rights Act §213.065 RSMo, which prohibit discrimination in places of public accommodation. Intimidation by Law Enforcement: Threatening arrest for requesting a supervisor is retaliatory and an abuse of authority. Premises Liability: Under Missouri law, T-Mobile Center has a duty to ensure its agents treat invitees lawfully and without discrimination. Requested Resolution: Immediate preservation and review of all security footage from the back entrance at approximately 7:30 PM on May 16, 2026. Identification of and investigation into the security staff and KCPD officer involved. Written response within 10 business days detailing findings and corrective actions, including anti-discrimination training. Written apology for the treatment I received at my son's graduation. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and that all relevant video and records will be retained pending investigation. This was my son's college graduation. No parent should be subjected to racism and police threats on a day meant for celebration. Michelle
