I have been on oxygen continuously since 2002 for pulmonary hypertension and severe anemia. I could not find a supplier accepted by my insurance and must have it to live. Called every number on the long list unsuccessfully. Then had to purchase my own concentrator for at home use. Then after 11 months finally found that Rhema in Hillsboro was acceptable to my ins. They brought me a home concentrator (I did not need) and large 5' tank. I needed a battery powered portable to go to my numerous dr appts but they said I had to wait 3 months and rent the home concentrator (I did not need). Then when 3 months were up they said I had to wait another 3 months, Now today they said I have to wait another 3 months. That will make 9 months I have to go to my appts without oxygen. Every time I walk my oxygen sats go down to 80 or less and I feel like I am going to pass out. I am crying as I write this because I feel like I may as well give up. Renting equipment while I am still paying for the the one I purchased in February 2016. Have to rent stuff I don't need for 9 months and what if in August they just add another 3 months. If I make it til August. Maybe I can just cancel all my appts and hope for the best. I am really in between a rock and a hard place as this is the only supplier my insurance accepts in my area. I wish when I call they will let me talk to someone who cares and knows what they are doing.

But I had also been trying for literally WEEKS to get another prescription filled at the big chains (they all told me they didn't have it in stock and they could try to order it but corporate could say no and even if they said yes it would be multiple weeks). It was causing me so much stress, and I had low hope after battling this issue for weeks, but I decided last minute to ask Gibson's if they could fill it, and they filled in ten minutes flat. TEN. MINUTES. FLAT, y'all. I won't lie, the place looks a bit shady and it's run down. And they have silly homeopathy snake oil too, and their hours are limited (they close at 6pm). But that's all inconsequential. They greet you warmly, they were super friendly, they were very fast, AND the pharmacist actually counseled me!! You know like how the receipt on your prescriptions from the big chains say "new prescription- counsel patient" but they never, ever, ever do? Plus, they have a nice little selection of natural essential oils and soaps and shampoos, etc. And their prices for over the counter stuff like cold medicines are super low! They meet or beat supermarket/big chain prices! I've only been here once, but I'm already loyal. Every medicine I need is coming from Gibson's until I move away!!
