Dr Alatar is one of the kindest most knowledgeable MDs I have ever known! Trust me!! I am 76 years old and have encountered MANY Physicians in my life and there are absolutely NONE that I trust better than Dr Alatar! She is an encyclopedia of knowledge and the most well trained and educated MD I have ever had to the pleasure to know. She also takes her time with you and listens to your concerns and questions and answers them thoroughly! She investigates and will do everything in her power to get you the answers you need in regards to your health. She also focuses on preventative health and closely and meticulously monitors your overall condition to keep you in top notch health. Nothing escapes her! Dr Alatar is compassionate and caring and She also had a very personalized approach to medicine. With Dr Alatar you are more than a number or a dollar sign! You really do matter to her! There have even been times I have had an acute health need and she took it upon herself to call me personally (literally just before a Hurricane was set to arrive) to relay valuable medical info to me and my family as to not leave us hanging and to ensure my treatment was not delayed. She spent a good amount of her own time relaying the info and plan to me and then called my daughter to ensure she understood as well, spending almost an hour between the two of us talking to us and helping us through it when I know most MDs would have just waiting until the next time they were in the office. This was not the only time she had called me personally either. Her nursing team is equally amazing! She is an asset to Wilmington Health, to her patients and their families, to our community, and the medical community at large!
