This place has been in business for many many years. It saddens me to see what is coming. With the closure of small retailers across the country due to internet sales, I would expect these small businesses to cherish loyal customers. We were mocked and disregarded today over a equation about mask requirements in Florida. While wearing a masks their young clerks and sales folks decided to begin mocking and slandering us for asking. Our option was to either not ask or leave the store. Is this where we've gone? What is wrong with America? Sad to say, we won't be back and Amazon,Sweetwater, Musician's friend, etc. just gained a reluctant new customer. SMH read more

This review makes me sad to write. Because back in the 90s and early 2000s, this store was a pleasure to shop in. There was an older guy named Marshall who was probably the greatest sales associate I've dealt with at any store anywhere. There were a few other music stores around at that time too that I would deal with as well. Well over the years, the competition has gone away, and one benefit of this is that Leitz took on a bunch more guitar manufacturers, you seriously could buy pretty much any guitar out there.... minus a few brands, but most of your common ones. BUT the downside to a lack of competition is customer service has dropped a great deal as faces behind the counter changed. There's one young kid there that gave me incredible customer service, and I wish I got his name, I just know his hero is Kurt Cobain and we talked about Nirvana and the grunge scene for a while as I was trying out guitars. Great kid, and I ended up buying a cheap guitar from him. So a few months pass, and I decide to buy a Squier P-Bass, so I go in and looked for the color I wanted, and they didn't have it..... so I went to the counter to see about ordering one... and when they heard I wanted a $180 guitar, and not a $1500-4000 one.... It was like my patronage was the ultimate burden, I got passed off to different salesmen, until I'm guessing the newest person took my order. And now in recent visits, I've noticed their prices are getting a bit high. They recently had a B stock affinity series on craigslist for the price of a new A stock at any online store. Their used guitars are selling for nearly new prices (especially if they're uncommon brands where only people who have shopped them would know about the prices) If Panama City could support one, we need a Guitar Center or something to put some competitive spirit into Leitz Music again. They always say Buy Local, and complain about the internet.... but ya gotta give the locals a reason to buy there.... and they've stopped doing that. read more

I have worked with this music store for almost 7 years now, and even though they are in Florida, and air am in California, they are my #1 guitar/music store. I live near a Guitar Center, and work close to the Guitar Center in Hollywood, but I don't get the quality of customer service with Guitar Center that I do with Leitz Music! The staff at Leitz, are top of the line, caring, informative, and hard working individuals.
