She and all staff are trained podiatrists Firstly you complete a brief basic questionnaire and then Brenda thoroughly checked my feet, ankles & toes and measured my feet both in a sitting & standing position. Then I stood on a machine which measured pressure points on both feet via infrared technology & then there was a further piece of equipment which carefully produces a three dimensional computer image of the required arch supports. Once the order was placed I am told it will be 2 to 3 weeks for them to arrive in the store & they'll call me to collect them, as they are manufactured in their lab in the US. Overall a very efficient and friendly service.

I bought an Irish rugby jersey here for our disappointing last World Cup. I had to buy it in kids, age 10. How embarrassing is that?! Now, I'm twenty-three, five foot nine (and a half, mind you,) and I weight nearly seventy kilos. I demand that Canterbury present to me a ten year old that size. Now. See, they can't! Still, it's a good gag, I've gotta give it to them there. They really had me on that one. I suppose it's in the ethos of the sport too, so fair play, fair play. The staff here are friendly, it's Irish owned and they know there stuff in particular when it comes to rugby stuff. Four stars. *and Dad's but it doesn't sound as good that way :)

Not that there's much, it's a fairly small space. And they've taken up outside with Jansport bags (very nice for backpacks or what have you, but in space this small, you'd think they'd want to minimise superfluity, not expand it...) They've got the basics I admit, gumshields, rugby shirts, shin pads and the like. Not the best range of footwear, which, unless you do something like martial arts or swimming is kind of a big deal) and their swimwear isn't the broadest choice either, which is odd considering that one of the biggest clubs in Ireland is based around 10 minutes away so you'd think that could be a bit of a draw. My advice? Go to Lifestyle in Dún Laoghaire.

This is a totally new shop and th only sports shop in sandyford that i know of!…read more its only small and it just takes up asmallcorner beside the escalators that go down to the lower levelcar park. there is not ahuge selection right now, they do all the normal stuff like trackshuits and shorts and t shirts and the like. As far as i can see they are still settling in and getting used to being there. this is a great addition to the beacon south quarter though,you can get good quality sports wear instead of settling for the tracksuits that are available in dunnes, now its not that i will be buying sports gear in a hrry in sandyford any time soon but its noce to have the option while im out for my frequent lunch time shopping trips! :-) also its just around the corner from all the tasty food places so it might moivate me to actually do some exercise after my bold lunches!

I found the place a little too big, any shop where you feel like an ant can't be good. The staff were helpful enough though as I wandered around like a lost child. All the usual fitness gear as well as overpriced GAA, football and rugby Jerseys too.

In my experience this Elvery's store has stuff you won't find in some of their more local branches…read more It's bigger than you would think from the outside and is in a handy location, just off the end of Grafton Street on Suffolk Street. As you might expect, it's jam packed with all sorts of sports equipment and fashions. As well as all the usual sports paraphernalia commonly used on this island, I'm told this is the place to go for more specialist items, if you're into the more niche sports. I was looking for some sporty Christmas presents that I was finding hard to locate in Dublin, so my search brought me to this shop and the visit was exceedingly successful. They'll order stuff in for you too, if they can. All in all, I was one happy Christmas shopper - thumbs up Elverys.

Next kid's clothes are very cute. They're a little like Gap and nice and colourful for winter,…read morestripey scarves and wooly jumpers. The women's clothes are nice too. Sometimes they're a little matronly but on the whole they're nice. I got a lovely black coat in the sale that was great. They also do very nice shoes with all height heels and flats. Their accessories and jewellery are nice too. Maybe a little matchy-matchy for some tastes though!

But no, I was in the children's section, where some of the clothes on offer for toddlers would not look out of place at a cocktail party. Pageant moms, take note, this could be fertile hunting ground for you. In the real ladies section, Next offers a lot of sports/leisure wear, with colours like baby pink featuring heavily. Think TV ad mother's basics.
