My sister was able to easily communicate with them before the wedding about any changes that had come up. The day of the wedding the wait staff was so professional and made sure all the special diet meals were passed out. The bartenders were absolutely fabulous. They obliged to make the drinks from the specialty menu we had created and made them taste perfect. The bartenders had great personalities and kept everyone happy. I am forever grateful to every staff member who made the day perfect. Such a beautiful venue and everything was so nice and clean. The house that we got ready in was stunning and had plenty of room for all the bridal party to get ready.

A TON of them have complaints about management and communication... Despite that we decided to take a look at them... made an app of online to come view on a weekend in one of their scheduled time slots, had a confirmation email, and made our hour and 15 min drive to this remote location only to have NO ONE show up. And to top it off their phone number on the front of the resort on their sign isn't even their number.... Finally got a hold of someone through a different number from the confirmation email and they tried to say we never had an approval even though I'm looking at a confirmation email... no apologies, no "hey I'm sorry we can have someone there in 30 min", just straight up blame and attitude on the phone and no compassion for us having spent 2.5 hrs of our day driving to see NOTHING! We won't be back!!! On the bright side... at least this happened before we spent a single dollar with them and not three weeks out from wedding time like so many frustrations and reviews you see on wedding sights.... and now we're doing destination anyway!!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at O.W. Ranch in June 2009. Sondra, the ranch owner, was wonderful to work with - she quickly responds to any questions and makes herself easily available when needed. O.W. Ranch provides a rustic, yet sophisticated atmosphere for your occassion. And, because the pavilion is a 'blank canvas' for you, it allows you the flexibility to create your final 'look n feel' the way you want. If you are looking for a venue that has everything from A-Z planned and organized for you (i.e. food, alcohol, decor, facilities, the works!), this is not the place. But if you want the flexibility to design all those elements on your own or use a wedding coordinator to design the look n feel, O.W. Ranch is great. I attended a wedding here in early May, and was appalled at the treatment by the venue owners. A…read moreportly male, 40's, was patrolling the reception party area with a camouflage rifle or shotgun and harassing guests as they went to the parking lot. I myself had 2 such interactions; the first when I went to my car to get headache medicine for the groom, and the second when my date broke the heel on her shoe and we had to get her tennis shoes. At least 3 wedding party members had similar experiences. The groom and his family had to spend a significant amount of the reception putting out fires the owners caused instead of celebrating appropriately. It was an absolute disgrace. I understand the need to monitor and be on the lookout for unlicensed alcohol or other prohibited items, but carrying a firearm around a wedding reception?? This might be a ranch, but it's not the Wild West. I would never recommend this venue, the owners, their preferred vendors, or anything/anyone associated with this business.

They opted to get married underneath this enormous oak tree, there are several other ceremony spots too. They have a lit area under the trees for cocktail hour and the reception took place inside the barn. It's everything you'd want in a barn wedding, wood details, barn doors, antique furniture. They have a bridal suite upstairs in the barn and a separate grooms house a little bit of a ways from the barn. It's a little bit out there in the middle of nowhere but it's worth the drive!
