The store labels beers by country so it's very easy to find what you're looking for. I also really enjoyed how they called out Alsatian beers - they had quite a large selection from local breweries. I can't comment on the price (coming from the US, everything seemed like a good deal to me), but this is a great spot if you're looking to try some new beers.

Along with Italian and German wines, they sell a number of spirits, from various grappas, limoncellos, and other Italian liqueurs, to Black Forest Obstbrände. They also have fancy Italian sweets and honeys, olive oils, vinegars, pesto, and other Italian foods brought by car from Italy. Generally, you can taste much of what they sell. Quite recently, they even started offering espresso for EUR1 per cup. Not bad, especially for such a good espresso, definitely the best I've had in Freiburg! Of course, it's clear they offer it mainly to draw in potential customers, but it's worth trying. On top of all that, the two guys who usually work there, Adriano and Claudio, are very friendly and knowledgeable about what they sell in the store. You can come in and talk about what they have and they'll be happy to talk as long as you like. Truly a well run store with some great things to offer. And usually cheaper than the nearby Primo Market. Check them out!

We were greeted as soon as we entered by a friendly lady who offered us a chance to sample their wines. 2-3 tastes later we had picked out a bottle to take with us. With more than 3000 wines on their wine list and a plethora of cheeses and other foods to enjoy them with, this should be on your list of places to check out when in Strasbourg. We stopped by with a group of 8, and were immediately made to feel welcome as we entered the quaint spot. While they did not have the first couple of wines we chose, they did come through with the others that we chose and then paired that with some amazing cheese. While French is the language of the land, we were quickly laughing with the locals as we tried to recall our college French and were happy to see that what we ordered was what appeared on our table! Total per person was very reasonable (about $20 Euro per person). The room is divided up into some comfortable seating areas with leather couches and bookcases, and they also have tables and chairs (including one large table for 10) if you want to gather round to talk. And the bathrooms? Super clean and pleasant. A lucky find for sure!

While it doesn't serve any real food - just cheese and charcuterie boards, the wine selection and the interior is well worth the stop, just as the advice of the owners if you are seeking to purchase a good bottle of wine, consistent with your tase and ranging anywhere from 10 to 1000 euros. All in all, that's a great place with nice and sometimes spaced-out owners, that I can but recommend, both for the quality of wines and the coziness.

Drexler's is a good store from which to buy wine -- but in my experience, only if you already know…read morethe wine. I've asked for recommendations several times -- twice on German wine, once for crémant (French bubbly not from Champagne), and once for cognac. The cognac was good, but none of the other recommendations suited my taste, and my taste is fairly broad. The prices usually aren't especially good either, but are generally not unreasonable. I know, from the above it sounds like I don't really like the place. But you can get some great wines here that might be hard to find elsewhere, like Camins del Priorat for EUR14 (or that's what it used to cost), an excellent priorat at an excellent price. The service is generally very friendly, and I like that they have so many wines on display in the window -- it's nice to be able to have a look from the outside without coming in uncomfortably without any real desire to buy something. So it's not my go-to place, but I'll have a look in the window to see if there's something I like which is always fun. And a place deserves to be recognized for being eye-candy, too. :-)
