The order went through, my card was charged, and money left my account. I thought that everything was fine. Now, TWO MONTHS LATER, I am informed that there was supposed to be a purchase limit on the order and they are refunding the majority of my purchase (over $1200). No where on their site when I purchased did it say anything about a limit. I'm all for limits when it comes to Pokemon, but when none is listed I expect to be able to purchase what I want. But, my issue is that they took over TWO MONTHS to inform me and process a refund. So, for TWO MONTHS I could have been using this $1200 for purchasing elsewhere, but instead Galactic took an interest free loan from me to use how they wished and then sent an email saying "oops, our bad." This is unethical and a very shady business practice. I will never shop with Galactic again. Let me be perfectly clear - had they contacted me within say, a week, I would have been absolutely fine with the limit and receiving a refund, but waiting TWO MONTHS until the product is out and I cannot find it anymore at this or a comparable price is dirty. Congrats Galactic - you are officially the worst LCS that I've ever dealt with.

My favorite gifts to give for baby showers are those indestructible books that you can wash with water! They seem to be pretty popular and Hopscotch usually has several different titles from that series. The last time I visited in September 2021, the inventory had expanded quite a bit since I was in the previous year. They have lots of toys, games, apparel, bath and body products, and accessories for younger kids (newborn to about 5 I would say). I didn't notice many options for big kids (12+). I did notice that there are a lot of items in the store that I've never seen before, but I also don't regularly shop at other children's stores. I like that they stock locally made and sustainable items. I also like that you can shop on their website and pick up at the store! They offer curbside pickup, which is great for those not wanting to or unable to go inside. If you're buying a gift, they will bag it up with a cute flower and tag which is so helpful, especially when I sometimes am purchasing a gift on my way to the baby shower, ha!

The owner let one of us use their restroom but then proceeded to hover over the door and harass them for taking to long. My family member has IBS and was very embarrassed. The owner then replied to a previous review that a friend of theirs got robbed a year back and he tried to say we were trying to do the same to him. We just wanted to see your store of overpriced crap and you basically made us leave because of your preconceived prejudice. Get a camera if you're so scared of someone stealing. Also grow up and understand you have a street store that is open to the public. It is not illegal for us to just look around old man.... The line was long and the pastry display was pretty depleted, but to me that means the food must be epic. It was busy when I arrived. I placed an order for a Baklava, the featured sandwich, and an iced coffee. The Baklava was amazing. The featured sandwich came with a bag of chips, and the iced coffee was good. Overall it was the perfect spot to pop into and work for a few hours.

Probably bought around 10-15…read morepacks and the cards were in the wrong order, they ripped too easily or in weird spots, and they overall just looked funky and messed with. No full arts in 10-15 packs can happen, but pretty suspicious when the packs are already looking and feeling weird. You could tell they tried to replace the hit cards with cheap half art EX's. The best piece of evidence was when another person bought some packs before me and came right back because some of the packs were already opened. Don't know about the comics but huge scam for cards.

I have a couple issues with this - first of all, the big LEGO sets (1,000+ pieces) that I want to do are so expensive if you buy them new. I'm talking like $300+. The other issue I have is that I don't necessarily want or need to have multiple LEGO sets in my house, either completed or in pieces. I don't have the time or interest to create my own builds using various pieces. So, I started to do some looking around for some local spots that might be useful and found DNA Brix. Nate and I went to check it out recently and did end up buying a new set there. They also have used sets and loose LEGO pieces that you can buy by the bag. You can sell your LEGO sets and/or pieces or get store credit for them too. The employee working was really nice and explained some things about how they work and mentioned that they would have some new sets in the next couple weeks since they just bought a ton of LEGO from someone recently. I imagine it takes a bit of time for them to sort through and categorize everything! I even noticed a sign that indicated they were hiring at-home sorters and counters. I think ultimately what would be best for me is a rental program where I could rent a set, put it together, and then return it. I don't think anything like this exists locally, but I did find an online business for this. In the meantime, I've already started the NYC Architecture kit we got at DNA Brix and have been having a blast. If you're in to LEGO or want to sell some, definitely check them out.
