Dont judge Gander by your first experience at Legends, just have a drink and keep looking for the Legion! The bar tenders were nice but they could hardly pour beer and didnt seem to know anything about Gander... everybody was nice enough, but every order was a challenge, the place also is on top of what looks like shut down hotel. We reserved a table for 6 pm (2 people) - ordered drinks and supper by 6:30 and were left to wait. I ordered the steak, baked potato and a Caesar salad for appetizer. I specifically asked if the mushrooms were fresh and was assured they were... After a 2 and half hour wait, without even asked to refresh the drink, the meal arrived. A minute steak - cooked grey, canned mushrooms - not even warmed up, and the Caesar salad was imitation bacon bits, Kraft dressing, and boxed croutons...horrible,,,I was starving, took a couple mouthfuls and left it. Just off the main highway, Legends is tucked away in a hotel and doesn't really seem open with no windows or anything to showcase what's happening inside. Rest assured, it probably is, and you can head into a friendly bar to drink and snack. We went in the early evening and it was very quiet - we missed trivia night by a few hours. Service was friendly, prices were incredibly reasonable and although we didn't try the food, someone around us did and it looked good. Typical bar snacks kind of menu. Fun place inside - a slight retro look, celebrity photos on the walls, a stage for performances and a some VLT's. Good place to grab some drinks and snacks. read more
