Steve even not answerd for main scams done by school mentioned by Harsh because there is no way he can justify it Statement 1 : We are the only flight school in the U.S. owned and managed by former airline executives of US major and International students. I can be a owner or CEO of an major airline but it doesn;t means we are the best. please check this link to know https://www.courthousenews.com/charter-airline-says-caesars-swiped-secrets/ Statement 2: Our payment requirements are installment based on 5 payments. You pay the next installment when you account is depleted. We do not require large sums paid in advance. Mention as installment payment not as pay as you go and we people are not there to hear words from you " You M***ers from India show this that and come here and don't pay on time". I head it from Steve and Ty when my installment was delayed due to pooja holidays bank holidays in India Statement 3: we not lost 95% of our students or even 10% of our students. More than 90% for sure left school and fisnihed everything in half price in other schools and went to India happily Statement 4: we don't target Indians Paying commission to agents, visitng India to get people and not helping even the students enrolled is a proof you only target Indians.9/10 students in this school is Indains. Number one scam school promoted by Indian Agents ( pilot.in and right source aviation, both based…read moreon Mumbai ) Short Review: Whatever they say has no basis; they are the number one scammers and liars in the industry. The entire organisation is made up of cheaters and lies Recently I saw a Instagram post ( July 9 2024, Why choose us, 8 reasons ) about Why Chose Them in their page, let me break it down that they all are baseless points 1. FAA Approved Excellence It doesn't matter if you are doing part 61 or Part 141. There part 141 of this school is a part of shit course . People finish there private pilot course around 12000-15000 USD in USA. 9/10 students of this school finishes private pilot course in 35000-40000 USD. If 5/10 student do it on 35000 it can be considered as student proficiency issue, but here its not that case. The students who leave the school get there private in 5000-7000 USD outside schools. 2. Unique Support for Indian Students 8/10 schools in USA don;t charge for I20 and there is no registration fees. I know some schools charge for I20 but they reimburse it when student joins there program. Its kind of filtering non-serious students to get I20 3. Diverse Aircraft Experience Most schools carry same aircraft and it doesn't matter which aircraft you train. Untill the aircraft is approved by Indian DGCA ( If you are indian student ) . This school targets Indian students and threaten them 4. Advanced Technology Most aircraft in US is equipped with ADS-B. 100% training aircraft are equipped with ADS-B and GPS. Because its needed for training. Saying your car have a ODO meter doesn't make sense 5. FAA Part 145 Repair Station No comments as I am unaware about it. But if you are doing a training most schools have there own repair station since Annual inspection has to be done on every 100 hours. Even if its not there it doesn't matter if you are getting aircraft inspected by partnership firms. Its not a car mechanic like thing. If your aircraft has flown 100 hours it will be inspected by. a proper A&P mechanic, not a random person 6. Transperent Payment ( Jokes apart, most scam is done here ) No Hidden Fee along way - They charge hidden fees. A C152 rental charge is 110$ average in US. If you check your statement you can see they charge you 125$, 165$ even 185$. So why ? If you paid a fee late, without informing they charge you even 50% of rental extra. The best part is no where its mentioned, no notifications anywhere. If you ask they blame you because you paid late. So what is Pay as you fly ? Lets come to that. You will get surprise notification like your minimum balance have updated to 5000$, which means you cannot fly until next installment For Indian conversion you need stamping and sealing, they never gave you until you pay 3000-5000$. guys its not a hidden fee its just. a service charge Pay As you fly - This is a lie statement You can;t pay as you fly Pay as you fly means of you have 1000$ you can pay 1000$ and fly. Here its all about installment. No less than 11000$ payment is accepted. 7. Charter Airline Doesn;t matters to any Indian students, they only provide M1 visa and you cant even work or experience it 8. SHuttle and Accommodation Nasty rules by school, unplanned shuttle service For any Indian student looking for IAA, we are warning you don;t waste your time and money. You will not finish your training in 12 months and you will spend more than 100,000$ in training. 95% of students left school by paying 33000 USD even without finishing private by 12 months, You have far better options choose wisely, the entire school is full of joke and politics. Promoted by Indian agents for 3000$ commission Me and friends left school after spending 13 months and 40000 USD and not even getting private. Left school joined another Florida school finished everything in 5 months and now doing conversion in India

If I could give Kingsky zero stars I would. My daughter was in the Polk State professional pilot…read moreprogram. She started flight with Kingsky in her second semester of her freshman year. January 30th. When she started my husband made phone calls and sent emails to request a breakdown of what was included with the cost estimation they gave Polk State students for completing their private. After repeated attempts they never provided that information. She stayed with them because it was through the Polk State program. In her time flying with Kingsky they put her with 9 different instructors, not by her choice. She has 51 flight hours and did not solo. When the second semester came she had an incomplete on her "flight lab" class because you have to have your private pilot license to pass the class. Unknown to her at the time she was dropped from her bright futures scholarship and continued to fly through the summer. She signed up for fall classes and finished her first week of classes and was dropped from the program due to the loss of her bright futures scholarship. She has been paying out of pocket for flight lessons and Kingsky requires you to maintain a minimum balance of $1,500 in the flight account which she has always done. They will not refund her $1,500 due to their policy even though that was money she put in and can not use there. Also, during this time they have charged her 20 hours of ground instruction even though she has already completed her FAA written test and ground course. This place is a complete money grab. Please go to your local flight school or anywhere else!! If you are enrolling in Polk State do not enroll in the professional pilot program as you will be stuck with King Sky. Save yourself the time and money wasted and go to any other flight school!

Some ground lessons seem unnecessary. Update: I completed my Private Pilot License at TBA for approximately $40,000. Significantly higher than initial expectations. The school increased rates during training, including instructor fees (without corresponding instructor pay increases). During my commercial training using 50% GI Bill benefits, training was halted several months later due to billing disputes. TBA interpreted GI Bill reimbursement as 50% of every invoice up to eligibility limits, while their website policies suggested reimbursement "up to 50%" of total costs. This discrepancy created confusion over payment responsibilities. When I attempted to resolve the overdue balance in good faith, TBA threatened legal action. After I provided documentation showing billing errors, their legal team and leadership agreed to my original settlement offer, though this exceeded what I felt was warranted. Two years later, TBA refused to provide my Biennial Flight Review. I've since found more affordable alternatives for continuing aviation training. Bottom line: Expect higher costs than quoted and carefully review all billing policies before committing.

His style of training works for me and he seemed to always know when to be choose to be conservative and when to take a risk based on my training and experience. We are now working towards my IFR. St Pete Air has become a home away from home for me. Great community of aviation enthusiasts.

I'm writing this comprehensive review of my year-long PPL training at St. Pete Air to hopefully…read moresave others the frustration, stress, and financial loss I experienced. While working full-time and part-time jobs to fund my dream of flying, I chose St. Pete Air for its cost-effective reputation. Unfortunately, that low cost came with an unacceptable price: a culture of disrespect, dishonesty, and poor leadership that I believe compromises both safety and learning. Chase Brooker - Unprofessional and Unsafe Training Environment: My training began with instructor Chase Brooker, who fostered a "tough guy" persona that translated into a deeply unprofessional and demeaning environment. He would mock mistakes and use verbal insults, including calling me a "queer" for grabbing the yoke with two hands. This hostile commentary makes learning not only unnecessarily stressful but fundamentally unsafe. The breaking point came over a scheduling issue. After 12 consecutive lessons without any cancellations, I had a work emergency and called Chase several hours before our scheduled lesson to cancel--something we had previously discussed as an occasional possibility due to my work commitments. He said it was "no problem," then charged me for two hours of instructor time. When I called to dispute this charge, Chase became confrontational, telling me--and I quote--"you make more money than me and someone has to pay my bills and it might as well be you." He then attempted to "negotiate" down to 45 minutes, treating what should have been professional billing like a shakedown. Management Failure - Danielle Broussard: When I escalated this to management, the response was appalling. Director of Operations Danielle Broussard sided with the instructor, emailing to inform me I was temporarily barred from training with other instructors until they "figured out how to handle the issue." There was no apology, no accountability for the instructor's behavior--just a penalty for speaking up. I was still charged for an hour I never flew. This represents a complete failure of leadership and customer service standards. Financial Dishonesty Continues - Instructor Jack: My second instructor, Jack, was knowledgeable and respectful but continued the pattern of billing irregularities. I personally witnessed him alter a receipt after the fact, physically changing "2.0 hours" to "2.5 hours" after returning from the restroom. On another occasion, when weather forced a flight lesson to become ground instruction, he charged me for two full hours of what amounted to personal war stories with no educational content whatsoever. These practices constitute theft--there's no other way to describe altering receipts and charging for services not rendered. The Exception - Stewart Brackett: The single bright spot in my entire year was instructor Stewart Brackett, who demonstrated the professionalism, respect, and teaching ability that should be standard. He represents what a CFI should be and proves the school could maintain higher standards if management chose to enforce them. Systemic Problems: My experience reveals systemic issues at St. Pete Air. The culture among many young instructors is immature and unprofessional, while management's failure to address serious complaints shows fundamental disrespect for customers. The billing irregularities I witnessed suggest either inadequate oversight or willful ignorance of unethical practices. Final Recommendation: While St. Pete Air offers competitive rental rates for licensed pilots, I strongly advise against using them for training. The financial dishonesty, unprofessional instruction methods, and management's failure to maintain standards make this an unacceptable choice for anyone investing in their aviation education. I completely regret choosing St. Pete Air for my training. I was disrespected, overcharged, and subjected to what I believe were unsafe training conditions. Please take your training investment to a school that values your business, your safety, and maintains basic professional standards.
