This is THE best hot pot spot I've had period. I don't leave reviews, it's rare but I had to for this. Here's why: 1. The food was bomb, a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I usually order pork intestines on the side and theirs, melted in my mouth. We wish they had the fish balls with roe but honestly not a breaking point for me. 2. The service was top tier, everyone was dedicated to giving me a great experience. Every time my plate is empty, they're quick to come and grab it away. I was hot and they turned on the fan. Bruh what. 3. I always judge a restaurant based on their bathroom. The minute I walked in theirs, it smelled like flowers, if you have a sensitive nose maybe not for you, but i mean if you have to chose between flowers and pee/poop, I think you'd chose flowers. Clean too. 4. Their dessert: they had these mochi balls with some sort of substance inside that compliment it really well. Not custard but it tastes FIRE. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, this is my favorite: 5. I used to work at a restaurant, and I know how utensils can be..dirty. Most places don't wash them well, they have disposable wooden chopsticks to go on top of theirs.. ok I get it you can just order wooden chopsticks, but theirs is smaller, less trees had to die. Idk it was different, v classy.

Another fantastic dinner at Legendary Hot Pot at Park Royal South, West Vancouver. The restaurant has been sanitized everyday and night. The food is just so fresh and the the French wine was excellent! We will be back again and again!

Update from the first visit: the owner apologized about the mistake during the first visit and offered a complementary meal (we left a generous tip) to make up for it *he treated us to their business lunch set special only available on weekdays *we chose seafood + beef and pork belly *could choose from seafood, beef, pork, or lamb (ranging from $15-23) along with 3 soup base, and noodles or rice *each set consists of meat, tofu, vegetables, mushroom, etc. *good value for the sets Overall I would go back for lunch on weekdays or dinner ------------------------------------------ First Visit: *note we came on a weekend Service: *we considered ordering beef slices but we end up ordering beef balls instead, so we put a big "X" on the sheet *the manager came to confirm the order, he asked if we wanted to keep the beef slice, we said no twice *beef slices still came, we said we didn't order it, employee took it away *in the end, manager gave us the bill, beef slices was on the bill Food: *we ordered two individual pots, beef balls, udon, fish tofu, tong ho (vegetable), and sliced pork *we got complimentary sour plum drink for liking the fb page *has a self serving sauce station, they charge $2.5/person, but since I personally only use soy sauce it's just not worth the cost for me *the miso and tomato soup base were so-so *sliced pork was good quality *beef balls wasn't bad *everything else was standard Price/portion: *as 2 people with small appetites, we ordered $50+ (pretip) worth of food. Everyone else might need to order a lot more, like 35+ per person *quite pricey for lunch since we only ordered one typed of sliced meat *i can see people coming to this place as there are only 2 hotpot places in west/north van, and this one is higher end *the other one is lion hotpot with combos about $15-20

The food was okay! But the service was pretty good. And it was pretty packed with families and friends. Good ambiance.

Great quality but on the tad smallish side for the meat. We got complementary dessert which was very nice.

I had the day off so I rode down to horseshoe Bay to check it out and it was a nice surprise. I started out with hot and sour soup and while it's not the best in the area, it's good enough if that's what you're craving. What I was really impressed with was the general tso chicken which still had its crunch and wasn't too sweet for my taste. I'd give that about 4.5 stars. I also had barbeque pork chow mein (everything came in ample qualities btw) which was better than average. Service was excellent and half a block down the street is one of the best views around, of the bay and Marina and mountains.

It isn't the ownership that is nearly as important as the chef, however. This restaurant has been good, mediocre and bad throughout the years. I had given up on this place with my most recent experiences being bad, but a friend told me new owners were in and the food was good. I had to try it again. Happy news! The last two times I have been in, the food has been really good. I ordered chow fun the first time. It was prepared well and not overly oily. Today I had the Singapore Noodles. Once again, well prepared. Seasoned well and not oily. I think I am building my courage for the big test: Kung Pao Chicken. If they can prepare this like I know it should be, I'll be ecstatic. Let's keep in mind, this is a little place in the small of Horseshoe Bay, which makes it even more special. I hope the quality continues. Return visit update: Kung pao chicken: no peanuts!? Baby corn made some of the other veggies sour. Why is there baby corn in Kung pao chicken? Underwhelmed as a Kung Pao chicken dish but could have scored higher as a spicy chicken chop suey. BBQ pork fried rice: no complaints. Good flavour and rice texture.

I used to come here quite often with my family,…read morebut over the years we stopped coming and of course the pandemic didn't help matters either. Sometime after life started to normalize again, we did place a take out order from here. This is the first time though in a very very very long time that I have actually dined in the restaurant. Ummm...I'm thinking it might almost be the last time I dine here. Might not even get take out from this restaurant either. No issues with the quality of the food. The food is still very good. But holy smokes...this place has gotten super expensive! I came here for a quick and simple meal with my mom. We'd had a super exhausting day. We needed something quick and simple so we could head back home and flop on our beds. We ordered just one dish to share, which was a Vegetable Fried Rice. Whoa...this one dish came to about $30 when all was said and done! It's one of the simplest dishes one could order in a Chinese restaurant and it came to $30. Could have chosen not to order it because of course I did see the price on the menu before ordering it, so...realized it was gonna cost a pretty penny. But as I said, we'd had a long day. We were way too tired to get up and look for anywhere else to eat. So we stomached the cost and now...I think I will not be coming back to this restaurant again. Do I recommend the food here? Sure. The food is good, and the portion of our Vegetable Fried Rice was generous. We had lots leftover to bring home. But...$30 for a plate of fried rice? That's ridiculous. This place is way overpriced now.

With about 9-10 people per table, we were treated to what felt like at least ten courses. There wasn't much time for photos, as conversation and catching up naturally took precedence. The standouts were the seafood fried rice and the green onion lobster and crab stir-fry -- rich, comforting, and generously flavoured, the kind of dishes that quietly anchor a long meal. It was a busy holiday weekend, and the restaurant was packed. Our original 7:00 p.m. reservation was delayed until 8:00 p.m., leaving many of us waiting outside in the cold. Once seated, the pacing felt off, with dishes arriving out of sequence, which gave the meal an oddly disjointed rhythm. A small apology or update from the staff would have been welcome, but none came. Overall, the food was very tasty, and I would consider returning -- particularly to explore more of their seafood offerings.
