I was over charged for on move out and they claim that furniture impressions on the carpet is damage. They charged me $700 for new carpet. There are no stains or tears just normal wear. Don't waste your time with these people they don't care about their residents. read more

My cousin has been living at these apartments for about a year, and she loves them. She hasn't had any issues as of yet, and everything goes smoothly with her. Other residents are respectful, and there are no issues or fights with anyone that she knows off. I cam for the first time on a Saturday to enjoy the pool. The pool is located right in the middle of the apartments and behind the clubhouse. It's super easy to locate. It's a big pool and kind of reminded me of a lazy river. Has a section for small kids to be able to stand up and play in. Different little spots for you to go explore and venture in. It wasn't crowded and had plenty of room to swim in the pool. They have 2 grill areas and tvs around the area. They have corn hole to play at and a little grassy area. Bathrooms are super clean and easy to locate within the pool area. Def will be back. I'm writing as a current resident bc other reviews when people move out say they are not residents and some say they can't confirm they were. initially in looking the staff was kind including Kendall. i want to say the entire maintenance staff has been wonderful especially Greg and Cody (hope I got his name correct. we had issues with bugs covering the front door... hundreds I will attach pictures. I asked for help and was ignored. I spent money on chemicals that caused me to get a rash. I will include pictures. it was not a few bugs. in August the air went out and it was during almost 100 degree temps. we were given a window unit in bedroom so we could sleep. the rest of the apartment was up to 84 degrees. my dog was panting constantly and it was unlivable. we had to leave for 3 days. there was no compensation. I asked and sent pictures of bug issue and was told they were harmless. we had asked other things in past and ignored. we are leaving soon and I have read other reviews so will be taking photos so we will not be lied to or charged bc they are unhappy with us speaking up. the trash dumpsters are constantly overflowing and smell. there are newer apartments across the street I wish we would have done. the rudeness and dismissiveness is unacceptable. please look elsewhere and read other reviews. all I asked was for $20 in chemicals for bugs and compensation for having to vacate for 3 days. I hope they office staff is retrained. they could benefit from it bc I know they would not be ok living with hundreds of bugs and a sweltering hot home. I moved out in September and thank God. My last few months at Legacy were awful. First, the walls are super thin so if you move here then do not move into a first-floor unit. All of our troubles started the day when we moved when our downstairs neighbor came outside to tell us we were being too loud moving in at 8 p.m. and that we needed to stop slamming the door. Of course, we were not slamming the door because we aren't children but nevertheless. A few months later she filed a complaint with the office and said we were being too loud. We hosted a few friends over for a Bachelor Show Viewing Party which started at 8 p.m. (again not the time of quiet hours). So the complex sends me an email notifying me of said complaint while not even checking to see my side of the story and the fact that we weren't even being loud. A few days after this, I find a passive-aggressive note on my front door (see attached) from our downstairs neighbor. We do not own weights (because we work out in gyms like normal people who live in an apartment with a gym), we do not jump around (because again we are adults) but due to the apartment's cheap construction, the walls are extremely thin. Fast forward to August and one evening when I get home about 5-minutes later an officer from the city of Concord knocks on our door because someone said they heard what could be a domestic violence situation. I am black, my husband is black and this neighbor is white. We have all watched the news and have seen what happens when people call the police on people with brown and black skin (#AtianaJefferson or #BothamJean). She had no right to call the police on us because we weren't being loud we were simply walking around watching tv--just LIVING. A few days later when I was leaving work and she was getting in her car. I asked her if we could talk 1:1. She proceeds to yell, curse, and again she calls the police on me and says I'm threatening her. Not true. The worst part about all of this is that Legacy did NOTHING to protect my husband and I. I sent them countless emails in May 2018, August 2019, called them, went to the office and they acted like they didn't care. They simply told me to ignore her espeically because I was moving out soon. How can I ignore someone when they call the police on me--twice in two weeks? If you are a person of color moving into this apartment look elsewhere--our safety is more important. Update to Legacy: No where did I state that you all discriminate against anyone of course housing is equal opportunity. But, if a resident is emailing you with proof, calling and visting the office about a crazy neighbor who harrasses them and calls the police you should have policies in place to ensure that doesn't happen. i'm telling my black and brown people who are looking to rent that they should take their equal opportunity to a complex where they will feel comfortable living and where the management will listen to the concerns of residents. The way they treat people has no excuse A year ago in July, my wife's son house was hit by lightening which created a fire and caused a large amount of damage. As part of the restoration process, the insurance company made arrangements for accommodation at this place On a previous occasion, they had requested that we check in on their cat while they were on vacation. No problem, check in at the office and get an key and return and everything went find without drama Today was different. Everyone was totally uncooperative. We got there a little after 1:00 pm since they do not open till noon. Had to show an apartment to show but at the same time, would not release a key without written permission from Russ. Russ, (my step son) had sent an email to Tiffany on Friday, followed up on Saturday since he had not gotten confirmation from Friday. They indicated they had not gotten either and would not give a key. Russ sent another email which they still deny getting. Finally after 45 minutes plus, they give my wife a key. She walks across the lot , climbs 3 floors and the key does not work. Not exactly cool outside. Came back inside and the leasing agent does not know how to get inside the safe to get another key and has to call the manager. With reluctance, she got the key. They wanted a drivers license which she has prevously provided as collateral but in the end, she offered her purse with all of her credit cards or me as collateral. After two attempts and multiple trips up a 3 flight series of stair, she get in. Cat is fine but she has food in the car and she's exhausted. What do you expect with a 72 yo with heart problems so she calls me who is back in the office to bring here the cat food up tree filghts of stairs an I have had knee replacement and don't navigate stairs well. Granted we have health issues but it took a bit of restraint to suggest to the 80 year gentleman who was there at the same time that they may look at the total packatge. I am a actual resident and I'm going to advice you PLEASE DONT MOVE HERE...I moved in this complex from Denver,co, I was running with a Domestic violence case.. the staff here knew what I was going through and they rent me an apartment.. 4 month after I went to the office to let them know that my ex husband figure out my new address and i tell them that my life is in danger and I need to live out asap for my safety and kids safety.. they are charging me 10,000 to be able to save my life.. this people don't care about your saf or your kids safety... I don't have access to the Denver police and I'm not able to get the new restraining order.. so they are putting me and my kids in risk.. something happens to us and it will be on this complex shoulder.. and I also request to be moved to another unit and they are charging me a new fee and a new applicatio. read more

I just moved in about 6 weeks ago. I can honestly say I love my apartment. Very spacious. Big bedrooms and large closets. Nice size bathrooms with draws and cabinets. Plus a full size linen closet. Lots of kitchen cabinets and a pantry. Beautiful floors. Decent size laundry room. No complaints with the look and feel of my apartment. The staff is pretty good as well. 1st issue I have is the fact that the living room light switches are misplaced. When I walk in my door, the light switch to turn on the entryway light is about 6ft to the right. If it's dark, I have to walk past my couch fumbling over stuff to get to the light switch. It's very dumg and annoying. I hate I didn't notice this when I first moved in. 2nd issue and the thing that makes me regret making Legacy my final choice are the thin walls. I've never experienced anything like this before and I've lived on first floor many times over the years. My upstairs neighbors are two thinner ladies but I swear you would think they weighed 600 pounds each. It sounds like a heard of elephants when they walk across the floor. And we've had encounters and talked about it. They apologize and they try to walk lighter but it's not them. Its the construction of the building. Then my next door neighbor, I can hear EVERYTHING. Conversations, tv shows, telephone calls, the dog barking, and worst part of it all is his SNORING! It's literally keeping me up at night. He snores so loud, it's like he's sleeping right next to me in my bed. I try to sleep with tv or music on but that interrupts my sleep but without background noise makes it is even worse. Just like right now, I got up to use the restroom but I've been up almost 2hrs now cuz I can't fall back to sleep. The snoring is so loud and annoying. This is going to be a long year. I have been at Legacy Concord for 3 years now. I have loved every minute of my time here. The community is amazing, with great amenities, from the pool and the gym to the clubhouse. Everything is well kept and maintained. The rules are enforced to keep a quiet, safe, relaxing place to live. The residents are friendly. My favorite part, though, is the staff. They are warm, friendly, helpful, and engaging. They quickly respond to concerns and the needs of the residents. In particular, I am most impressed with Heather, the community manager, and Jennifer, the assistant community manager. They make my day, every time I have the privilege to interact with them. This place is okay to stay; however, you will be ripped-off when you leave. They took our deposit, said they made an accounting area, said they had to replacethe carpet (which we did not damage) charged us for it, and THEN sent the balance due (which we did not even know we owed) to collections. I moved in almost 5 months ago and I'm still happy with my choice! Relocating from another state during a seller's market can be nerve-wrecking but after reading so many mixed/bad reviews about other complexes I was relieved to read all the good reviews (on other platforms) about Legacy Concord. My tour was equally as pleasing. THANKFULLY the staff changed since most these Yelp reviews were written. The office and maintenance teams are professional, efficient, and kind. They proactively guided me through the process and consistently communicate effectively with residents. Rebecca handled onboarding, Devin followed-up regarding amenities and other details. Whenever they can't answer the phone my emails are answered within the hour, usually within 10 minutes or so. Janice (Property Manager) and Kendall are equally accommodating. Gaylord, Jatonn, and Cody handled maintenance requests same-day or w/in 24hrs. Amenities are clean, smoke-free, and well-stocked - there's PPE in the clubhouse and gym. Property is clean, well-manicured, and pet-friendly. Pet DNA samples are required so NO POOP LEFT BEHIND. Infrastructure and new, easy payment system is great. Valet trash service is pretty good, they pickup from your door 6 days/wk. Only a handful of days was missed but it's 2 guys, a pickup truck, and a trailer - not a county issued truck. 2 bags max/unit/pickup; no loose items taken so there's no spills. My 2br townhouse style unit has a private entrance. 1200+ sq.ft, 9ft ceilings and plenty closets, windows, and parking. Stairways and doors are wide enough for wheelchairs or wide furniture. I rarely hear neighbors and even then its a bark or brief mumble. Walls are not paper thin, its really quiet. These are separate from the regular apartments, layout differs. I removed one star because I appreciate having in-unit washer/dryer but they're low-quality models. Having to run double or triple cycles to drain &/or dry quality bath towels and bath mats means additional time and money spent since rent doesn't cover water or electricity. Also, I agree that the outdoor grills need professional attention beyond what residents clean. I haven't had, seen, or heard of any racial incidents. I'm a person of color and no one treats or looks at me funny. Decent mix of families and singles, males and females. A few around me have renewed leases. Its cool. read more

I've lived here for almost a year now. The staff has been amazing and accommodating in helping me. Everyone has been super sweet and amazing. The only thing I wish I could change is the parking. I would have it where cars that aren't used are daily are parked further away. There is a truck that has not moved for months now that takes up prime parking. Nothing major. As a guest and possible future resident of your complex, I am appalled at the trash I came across in the pool tonight. Not only did I find a baby wipe and band aid, but I had to deal with disrespectful children that should have been chaperoned by their parents. As a mom I had to watch my son, 7, and my brother, 10, be harassed and ridiculed by a group of teenagers. I am beyond furious and 100% uninterested in becoming any part of this community. They should be ashamed at the scum you let in this complex, especially for the price of the sub-par living quarters and amenities. If I could leave a review without stars, I would. Where do I start? I've been here for the last 9 months and I really wanted to like this community. The problem starts with the office staff they act snooty and make you feel uncomfortable as soon as you walk in. The so called E-Lounge is always nasty, the furniture is stained and smells. The coffee machine is always broke or empty and always, always NASTY. They lie about sending emails and say they put notes on the door to notify you of important stuff but they don't. Ella and Heather are LIARS. The pool and grills are always NASTY. The stairs are nasty. The trash service doesn't get your trash half the time but u pay $25 a month for that and they instruct you to call the trash company that they have hired. There is no where to park and if u park illegally they will boot your car and u have to pay to get that off. They have a million excuses for the poor job that they do at managing this HORRIBLE place. There is weed smoke wafting out several of the apartments in my building so we all get letters about that instead of them addressing the problem individually. I was accused of having a dog and told I was in violation of my lease even though I dont have a dog. They have targeted and harassed me for months leaving letters on my door with false accusations. They never have proof of what they are accusing you of but will still pursue it. The girl that sits at desk when u walk in always has her face screwed up. I guess they hired her to make u feel unwelcome once u become residents so you don't want to come in the lounge. They ignore residents to brown nose potential residents when u got to office. The sprinklers spray you when u walk out of your building. Save your money and go somewhere else. You will be glad you did!! This place gets 0 stars from me. So here is a REAL REVIEW by someone who lives here and doesn't just work for the management company or has simply take a tour ! After LIVING here for 5 months and I'm ready to LEAVE ... HAVE BEEN FOR THE PAST 4 Months ! Paying over $1000 a month for a 1 bedroom. The property is nice and large but not built very well WHAT SO EVER ! I've been fighting moisture in my garage since day one. Things rust and mold that shouldn't. MULTIPLE Damp Rid Buckets needed to keep things dry. Trying to keep the bolts on my car from rusting inside the garage from it. The right to quite enjoyment is not provided in any way shape or form. I work 40plus hours a week and am DISTURBED CONSTANTLY ! Construction still going on literally 25ft outside my bedroom window now ! Not to mention the road noise thru these paper thin walls. All of this on top of the landscape company providing service to this community is HORRIBLE. From sprinklers on in 30 degree weather to Just down right ignorance to be honest. Best thing about this place in the maintainance staff. They are always on point and help anytime they can. Unlike the office. They only care about your needs until you sign in the dotted line. I've tried several times to work with the office to solve these issues with no resolution at all. Just legal , lease BS talk. Only options provided was to call police or move to a 2 bedroom. I felt the need to speak up since the writers of these reviews obviously have had some bad experiences and I would like to add a perspective from someone with a good experience. For starters, I have been living in the complex for about a year now. I first moved in with room mates, but that went sour very quickly. The leasing office was amazingly helpful during that time and allowed me to break the lease with no penalty. They even found a one bedroom and prorated the rent for the first couple of months. I have been in this one bedroom apartment for almost a year now and hopefully, if all goes well, with be here for longer. The walls aren't very thin in my opinion. Yes, road noise gets in, but I blame the fact that we don't have a wall between us and the road rather than the construction of the apartment. The maintenance staff are wonderful people. They help out immediately and efficiently. They are even up for the occasional conversation if you catch them out and about. I cannot attest to the pool/BBQ area since I am not a swimmer, but the onsite gym is beautiful. It is very clean and accommodating. Small, but I rarely see any more than 2 or 3 other people in there at a time. Inside my apartment, the amenities are quite modern. The microwave and stove top/ oven work perfectly. I haven't had a single issue with them. I rarely run out of hot water, if I do it's my fault for lounging in the shower. The dishwasher also runs quite well. The sinks are deep and the kitchen faucet is retractable. All positive qualities in my opinion. The only negative I have to report is the toilet bowl gets a dirt ring around it rather quickly, so I have to stay on top of its cleaning. Oh no. The horror. I hope my review helps to temper all the negativity this place has seemed to attract. If you are looking to move into the area, I would highly suggest this place. This is the main reason I chose this apartment and decided to pay high rent so that I can study in peace, however, I can never study in peace at night because I can either hear my neighbors personal conversations, their children crying , or them making love which is very disturbing! I work 2 jobs and attend school full time and I can never get enough rest due to their FALSE ADVERSTISEMENT! on their public website they list the amenities that come with the apartment and one of the amentities on the list is SOUND ATTENUATION! These apartments walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING ! False advertisement is an unethical practice and it's very misleading. They also promised us a gift with the promotion they were having for signing our lease and promised us that on the day we moved in we would have our gift inside of our apartment and that was a LIE! When we walked in to sign our lease to get our keys they never let us know that the gift wasn't in the apartment, they waited for us to say something to them because they was hoping that we forgot. We had to contact them over and over to remind them and we then received it 3 weeks later! The staff is very unprofessional! I went to print some papers in the leasing office during regular business hours and while waiting for the papers to print I had to use the restroom, when I walked in side of the restroom their was make up and feminine toiletries all over the sink as if someone lived in there and a bag full of clothes on the floor. I then asked the leasing agent Marcie if someone was using the bathroom and she replied "Yes, those are my things I am getting ready for a party but you can go ahead and use it!" So I had to hop over things and move her stuff around just to use the restroom and move her things on the sink in order to wash my hands which was disgusting and NASTY! The staff is also very CARELESS because we paid our rent on time in March, however when we came home we had a very demanding/disturbing letter on our door telling us that our rent was late and that we were charged a late fee. I immediately called my bank and went back and forth with them wasting a hour of my time for them to tell me that my payment was successful. Later on that night I received a email from the MANAGER KENDRA advising me that it was her mistake she had an oversight and did not see my payment at first! THAT IS A VERY CARELESS MISTAKE AND IN HER CORRESPONDING EMAIL SHE NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR CAUSING ME INCONVENIENCE AND CONFUSION. I WILL SCREEN SHOT HER EMAIL AND PUBLICLY SHOW IT ON FACEBOOK! She has been extremely helpful from giving me all the details of the complex to personally taking time to assist me with other details that helped me with moving in. Would give zero stars if it were allowed, maybe the one star is for the maintenance crew. Who are the only people in the "community" who actually seem to do their jobs. On several instances I have come home to find that our stairwell is coated in whatever disgusting leftovers poured out of the trash bags that the trash company (who barely ever picks your trash up) drags down the stairs. We were supposed to have them "pressure washed" well they must have skipped our building altogether because it's still got strange liquids and food scattered around like a Golden Corral. As for the pool, the grills are both covered in grease from who knows how long ago, the bathrooms smell like urine as if bleach can't be purchased at the dollar tree that is 3 miles up the road, and the pool itself has bugs, leaves, hair, etc. floating in it 24/7. In the past five months I've lived here and gone to the pool at least once a week, I have maybe seen a person clean it twice. Uncaring families come through and let their kids leave candy wrappers and food all over the pool area so ants invade. Gotta love a community that cares just as much as it's management. You've got typical apartment protocol with being able to hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do, but that's the one thing they can't actually fix. Hat off to Heather who never gets to the phone, makes false accusations, and after several other awful reviews toward her, still somehow has her job. I was very disappointed in these apartments. The staff is great except for one person who isn't very personable, but for the most part they are great especially Heather, she is wonderful. They do have great amenities such as the pool area, the fire pit, a beautiful club house with games and several TV's, however there are way too many restrictions for the money that you pay. You pretty much can't do anything but live here. I love the outside and I usually live on my patio, however the amount of bugs you see on the patio, in the stairwells is just insane I guess they don't spray like most places do, I've never seen anything like it as you are continuously stepping over dead bugs.. My husband actually saw a mouse on the terrace level at the entrance.(eek) You can't do much to your patio, no decorations or anything, we were pretty much told if it wasn't furniture you can't have it on the patio, there is no smoking on the premises at all. I'm not a smoker, however I do have family that visit and do smoke. You should at least be able to smoke on your balcony. You can't clean your apartment (vacuum, wash clothes) before a certain time and after a certain time, the front doors SLAM so hard that the whole apartment shakes, so imagine everyone's door slamming, you feel it. The walls are paper thin, the apartment design was poorly thought out, For example: the bathroom sinks have faucets that are so small, you can't properly wash your hands because you can't get your hands completely under the faucet without hitting the back of the sink. In the master bedroom, you cannot have the closet door and the room door open at the same time, in the main bathroom the light switch is behind the door so you have to walk into the dark bathroom to turn the light on (odd) the kitchen faucet sticks and sometime does not change back to the single stream from the spray, microwave doesn't get your food hot. It all "looks' very pretty. I can go on and on but I think you get it. All in all if you are not as meticulous as I am it's a beautiful place. The main things I would suggest is maybe lift some of these insane restrictions. Most places have "smoke free" communities which means you can't smoke in the apartment or on the grounds but you can smoke on the balcony OR have a smoking area, also, allow people to do what they want with their patio, no not hanging blankets for drying and just have a messy patio, but at least allow nice curtains and privacy if they choose. You charge a lot of money for these apartments and I think the tenants should have the right to at least clean when they want too clean and decorate their patios. read more

Maybe it wasn't Madelyn. I don't know her name because she never told me her name. She had dark hair, and dark skin, she was sitting at the front desk when you walk in. Makes me think whether or not I want to deal with this place and lease from them. She was very unprofessional and didn't seem to care at all about me and my needs and wants. I thought this was a better place than that. She really should not even be working there. I will not and don't want to even speak to her if I come back in. If this is the kind of customer service I get when I'm asking questions about leasing here, how do you think that makes me feel about coming back and wanting to lease from Legacy Concord. She made no eye contact with me at all and was looking down the whole time. I have been to many other apartment complexes and never been treated like this and this is the place I found to be most appealing minus the staff I dealt with.
