I want to be an educator so the teacher required us students to go to a place we wouldn't usually go and experience that nervousness that some immigrant children might feel when they come to school in the US, away from friends and family, immersed in a different language. So I had to attend a church service. I didn't know what to expect when I first drove into the driveway. I did feel a little out of place since I am Buddhust, and I did feel kind of conspicuous as an Asian in a predominantly white church. But everyone was really friendly. One of the musicians said "we won't try to convert you", after hearing about my assignment. At least five people shook my hand and said hi. I definitely think all the religions of the world can work together to bring peace to this war-torn, poverty-stricken world. Some people may say that the worst problems of the world are caused by religion (those like Mao Ze Dong of China who renounced religion also did a lot of harm) but I think peace can also be found within religion. I'm still Buddhist! But all religions of the world have a lot of common. So, here's to peace for all people of the world!

Preaching was excellent. Worship was awesome and worshipful, not a performance. People there were warm and welcoming. My friend who lives in Ukiah went with me and she has returned several times, joined their Bible study and brought her parents. If your looking for excellent Bible teaching, good worship and friendly people you will love this place.

While I don't attend this church, I was here to watch my grandparents renew their wedding vows for…read moretheir 50th anniversary. I thought everyone was very nice and welcoming. My grandparents have been attending this church for about 30 years, so everyone knows who they are. The pastor did a fabulous job renewing their vows, he had a great sense of humor that made everyone laugh, and he communicated with my mom when setting this miraculous event up (we drove down from Oregon to surprised them). The church even put together a little movie for my grandparents with slides and music in the background as well as a bouquet of flowers for my grandma to walk down the aisle with. The whole thing was so sweet and heart warming, I was happy to see my grandparents smiling and laughing as much as they were. Thank you again Ukiah Assembly of God for making this possible. (o:

They are hard working , attentive and go above and beyond . Whenever there is a series that I can attend I find a connection that only God could of created . It is a blessing we have Kevin and Cindy here in Ukiah to be the leaders and family of this beautiful church .
