I flew in four separate times from California because after a lot of research, I knew Dr. Porcelli was the one I could trust to be patient, immaculate, and impeccable with his work. And sure enough, I was right. I know I have already written a review, but I absolutely felt I needed to follow up after the completion of my work. Again, his staff is unbelievably hard-working. They are all incredibly invested in each patient and really know/understand each individuals needs. Dr. Porcelli's wife, Alina, manages the practice, and is seasoned in all things dentistry and health. She is an absolute star as far as I'm concerned. Your happiness is their primary concern and they absolutely guarantee it. If you're seeking a veteran cosmetic dentist, whose professionalism goes beyond just dentistry, but rather, overall health and wellness, look no further. If you're looking for a place whose staff will all know you by name and will greet you with warmth and familiarity, please, please call this office. Thank you to everyone at the Biological Center for Dentistry! Pure excellence all around.

His connections allowed me to have treatment no matter where I am, and the treatment options he recommended were realistic for my lifestyle as a high schooler at the time. I'm still a patient of his now, and can say nothing but great things about him and his staff. I always feel comfortable in the office and look forward to seeing them again!

Savannah Periodontics is only dental office I'd recommend for anyone with dental anxiety…read more First, I should say that I had a very traumatic experience with an emergency dentist when I was on vacation on the West Coast and ever since then, I am a bundle of nerves when I have to have any sort of dental procedure. When I met Dr. Kube (pronounced Q-B) she assured me that she and her team would take every single measure to soothe my worries before the procedure. She kept her promise and did exactly that. I was given a pre procedure pill to take the "edge off" but the morning of my gum graft, I was so wound up, I didn't feel like it worked at all. When I got the procedure room, Dr. Kube reassured me that she would explain everything she was doing before she did it and she began to numb my mouth. Even though she was exceptionally gentle, calm and patient, I couldn't help feel panicked, (the experience I had with the dentist I visited on vacation had let me that shell shocked.) Dr. Kube went above and beyond and invited my husband to sit beside me during the gum graft so that he could help me calm down and communicate what was being said / done to me. ( I am hard of hearing and rely on lip reading to communicate and it is understandably stressful when masks obscure the mouths of those speaking.) Both Dr. Kube and her assistant Melisa were so gentle with every single part of the process. When I shed a few tears during the numbing process, they gently wiped them away ( which really shows that they care about the patient and not just getting the procedure over with.) When Melisa helped me out to our car, she noticed that I was cold and she put my hood up over my ears to keep me warm. ( It's the little things like this that really set this office apart.) While the first few days after the procedure were a bit rough pain wise, the pain medication I was prescribed was very effective and I was able to sleep and recover without issue. The after care instructions covered all the bases with regard to healing / managing pain. ( Trust me when I say to follow the icing directions- it really helps with swelling. ) A few days after the procedure, Dr. Kube personally texted me to make sure all was going well - which I thought was a really lovely personal touch. And the after care didn't stop there, any time I had a random question about the healing process ( e.g. How long does the bandage on the roof of my mouth stay on? Am I able to drink warm tea? etc.) the office staff Katherine, Megan (and a few other lovely gals that I was a bit too drugged up to remember the names of ) cheerfully and quickly gave me the info I was looking for. Long story short: As someone with severe dental anxiety, believe me when I say: Dr. Kube is an exceptional periodontist and she has my complete trust. Not only is she exceptionally skilled, but she is also so kind, gentle, reassuring and thorough in her care planning. A perfect 10/10. Not only do I whole heartedly recommend her, I will be going back to complete additional procedures with her, which for me, is the highest compliment I could possibly give.

I am extremely today dissatisfied with the unprofessional and seemingly discriminatory practices of…read moreyour dental office. Charging a $50 fee simply for requesting to reschedule an appointment is unethical and excessive, especially when providing over 15 minutes' notice of running late due to traveling from Richmond Hill. During my recent call to notify you I would be approximately 30 minutes behind schedule, your staff was incredibly rude and inflexible. The policy of refusing to reschedule future appointments if unable to pay the $50 penalty fee on the spot is appalling. As a insurance paying client, I should not be threatened with being turned away over reasonable scheduling issues. What compounds this matter is I bet this unfair policy is pushed disproportionately and impacts your minority, specifically Black, patient base. Having an all-white staff and then enforcing strict punitive fees with little compassion or latitude raises concerns about racial biases influencing your office practices. Dentistry should be a environment of care, not rigid and excessive financial penalties. I urge you to reevaluate these policies through a lens of equity, empathy and ethical business conduct. Pushing away clients over minor scheduling issues is unprofessional and potentially discriminatory. I hope you will make adjustments to improve your office's treatment of all patients going forward.

When I first arrived at BFD maybe a decade ago. I was terrified. I hadn't seen a dentist in years…read moredue to the discomfort/pain/shame I experienced every time I entered a dentists office. I had dental procedure anxiety (self-diagnosed) something fierce. I never flossed. Brushed a few times a week. "You wouldn't be bleeding so much if you flossed," some so- called 'dental professional' would tell me. "It wouldn't hurt if you weren't stabbing me in my gums with no empathy," is what I would think to myself as I white knuckled some satanic saddle of dental doom, wishing I could afford gaseous ambivalence. When the pain in my mouth finally achieved victory over my fear of procedural pain, into BFD I walked. Janet sweetly laughed when I asked for gas, or benzodiazapine, or anything to rest my anxiety. "You'll be fine, I've been at this for years." She was right. While it took a while to un-f#({ the results of my dental neglect, I learned a lot. I was shown how easy it is to floss (with a floss pick- that's not cheating; it's just as effective as cumbersome filament floss). Dr. Drossner helpfully suggested I slip it onto my daily routine. I started flossing every time I waited for my shower to warm up. I quit skipping a good brushing to save a couple minutes. I'm not at 100%, but I'd get a solid A on the 1990s grading scale for sure. Eager excitement nearly effortlessly replaced anxiety and avoidance in advance of my semiannual oral inspection. The staff at BFD remember my chosen name (not just my government one). They find ways to make my visits cheaper. They remember that I don't like their music - they don't change it, but they remember. Dr. Drossner congratulates me on my newfound acceptance of daily tooth washing. Janet gives me a hug before I leave. I never knew until this morning after Janet effortlessly and (almost- I ain't perfect) painlessly descaled and polished my teeth, that dentists and hygienists experience anxiety about giving people anxiety. If you squirm at the dentist's office, they have to suffer their own discomfort with a HIPPA-suggested countenance of indifference. That means, everybody wins if daily dental diligence becomes standard. If you live in Beaufort or the surrounding areas, do your mouth a favor. Go see the folks at BFD. And at the very least, start brushing and flossing every day. It's better to floss your teeth every day for less than a minute than to hate a dental professional or yourself for an hour every six months. My name is Thieme Hall and I support this message.
