I think it's ridiculous the wait time for a referred neurologist appointment. I was referred to…read morethem in October and unfortunately they're next available appointment to see the neurologist isn't until April of next year. I feel by then it'd be too late. I've been suffering from phantosmia since August and it's awful. Can't eat anything as nothing tastes like food and I'm supposed to wait another 6 months. Healthcare system is so flawed but the time we actually get seen we'll get bad news. It's so sad. I don't think I can make it another 6 months, but I'll see what my next step is. I may just cancel the appointment and just pretend like nothing is wrong cause it seems [pointless waiting just to be told bad news. I guess I'd rather not know

saw Dr Camara at Cone Neurological Associates for neuropathy, body moving on its own after waking…read more(seizures maybe), dizziness and blurred vision. All of this is new as of 4 months ago and I have never had any major health problems other than high blood pressure. I was at my wits end when I showed up today- I have extinguished all other avenues (3 ER visits, an ear/nose/throat doctor, 2 nurse practitioners, and 3 urgent care doctors). I thought I would FINALLY get answers but wasent too optimistic....and I was correct. The doctor didn't do a physical exam at all- nothing- none what so ever, which I thought was weird- I dunno.. maybe look for clues with vision, maybe do a feel test of sorts for my neuropathy, or look at my spine. He went IMMEDIATELY to talking about pills. An antidepressant even though I am not depressed and I have anxiety only because I can not find any answers. He didn't discuss any tests that could be done either. NOTHING. I feel like I have nowhere else to go and my symptoms were not taken seriously. Head pressure and pain so bad 2 days prior- I thought if it happens again i will either black out or die. Looks like thats where I am headed. Pun intended I guess.

I have had 3 spinal surgeries over the past 18 years, all at this practice. Up until 2025, my…read moreexperience with this practice was exceptional. However, I went in this year with pain in my lower back that has been increasing over the last year to the point where I cannot always get through a full day. The same symptoms lead to 2 of my 3 surgeries, this is not a new experience. The surgeon talked to me like I was a new patient who has never experienced back pain or surgery before. He basically said "let's get an MRI and go from there". From that appointment it took me 3 weeks to get an MRI. After the MRI (which they estimated at zero cost and then billed me $450) I waited 4 weeks. After 4 weeks I called and they said they had the results, and I could make an appointment to go over them with the surgeon. To her credit, the person I spoke to listened. I told her that I knew it didn't need surgery but that I needed to referred to pain management. She told me that the surgeon noted in my file "not in need of surgical intervention". I asked her if I could go ahead and make an appointment with pain management since that was the case (in the hopes of speeding the process along so that I could make it through the day). My previous experience was that they would refer you to pain management to help with your condition. This time I was told that pain management wasn't an option as they don't prescribe drugs and that my condition wasn't suited to epidural injections. In the years leading up to my previous surgery, their pain management did prescribe strong anti-inflammatory drugs as well as pain medication and anti-neuropathy medication. Apparently that isn't an option. That's it. I have seen the same surgeon 1 - 2 times per year since 2015, and you're not a candidate for surgery, we can't help you. Call your family doctor and see who they can refer you to. I don't know what happened since the last time I visited in 2024, but this is not the same practice. I have recommended this practice (and surgeon) to countless people. He has operated on my mother, my aunt, at least 4 church members, and two of my co-workers. He is an amazing surgeon - but apparently it has come to this: If you don't need surgery, go be someone else's problem until you need surgery. Because of all of the drug addicts, it seems they just don't want to help people who aren't bad enough that they are bedridden. I am disappointed beyond all measure and hope that my family doctor can recommend someone to help me.

My daughter was referred to this office for a neurosurgeon consult for the vagus nerve stimulator…read more She saw Dr. Neelesh Nundkumar. He was very thorough in his explanation of what the surgery would be like. While discussing the risks, he mentioned possible vocal cord damage that has happened in two of the couple hundred of these surgeries he's done. We mentioned that my daughter had had previous vocal cord damage due to a MVC that required long term life support. So to be on the safe side, he referred my daughter to the ENT to have her vocal cords examined to determine if it was her right of best side previously damaged. This was important because the vagus nerve stimulator is lot in the left side. So if the prior damage to her vocal cords were on the right side then we couldn't risk damaging the left side as it may leave her without a voice and possible requiring a trach. All of that to say... I am grateful that he was so thorough and erred on the side of caution. He was very pleasant and thorough at the hospital the day of surgery. He made sure I had any questions answered, made sure to speak with me once surgery was over, etc. The follow up appointment was quick and easy due to no complications. Very pleased with this provider and office. In addition to the exceptional care, the office is very spacious, well lit and clean.
