From the outside, it looks like a really small and old building, and you'd expect the inside to be…read moredim and dusty with rickety stairs, but the inside is actually like any other modern library - brightly-lit, clean, and carpeted. But the really cool thing is that it still looks like a really old building from the 16th century on the outside! I think it's a perfect balance of antiquity and modernity, and the management did a really good job of preserving the historicity of the place but at the same time keeping up with technology and modernity that libraries demand. I frequented this library when I was studying Shakespeare in England. They used to have free internet, but they started charging a minimal fee when I was there - which is understandable since it's mostly tourists who go and try to take advantage of free internet. It's still really inexpensive compared to internet cafes and the hotel internet. The book selection isn't the largest, but it's in one of the most unique and historically significant towns in the world. If you're ever in Stratford-Upon-Avon, you definitely need to pop in and have a look!

This library is fairly good - as with all of the libraries within the Warwickshire district, you…read morecan reserve books and have them moved over to a particular site ready to collect, which makes searching endlessly for a particular book much easier. Each of the sections are easily displayed and parking to get to the library is easy and often not a problem. All in all, quite a hassle free experience.
