We came in as a group if 8 . Our tour checked us in across the river at Mercure Hotel. We saw the lunch menu that is 3 course for 21 euros. When we arrived we discovered it was the regular menu and a blackboard of specials . We thought it was going to push us to spend more ,but the blackboard was such good pricing . All the entrees came with a 2 sides. The au gratin potatoes were amazing and the ratatouille. A ribeye steak was under 30euros and was at least 12-14 oz done to perfection . Flame grilled ,well seasoned . Whole filet white fish was also flame grilled /perfect!! We also ordered the linguine vongole. 1 lb of small clams was the n my bowl 25 euros. And then the desserts . Large beautiful servings and presentation. There is a case to view the selections. Strawberry shortcake, apple compote on a Belgian waffle / whipped cream. Sorbets , lemon meringue pie,and a raspberry fruit with whipped cream in lady fingers.(like English Tryfle) the whipped cream stood tall like whipped butter. I need to go again just for desserts! Each couple only spent less than 70 Euros. This was our first restaurant with no English on the menu . It was our best experience because their staff was patient. We all enjoyed our visit there. Also there is a major locker of aged steaks. Perfection and some steaks designed for 2 people to Share . Under 65 euros for 2 peeps . I think a family of 4 could share and have room for dessert! We can't wait to come back again. The place has many tables that can be pushed together for large parties or intimate booths and an outside patio decorated with lampshade and a view of rooftops looking up(like Mary Poppins). So charming.

We were seated on the terrace, which was heated and closed in with nice clear plastic windows and heated. Service was shall we say "relaxed", but was friendly and efficient. I had probably the nicest calamari I have ever had from their tapas menu, deep fried in very light batter and without a hint of rubberiness. I followed that up with lamb chops which were wonderful. The meal was completed by a great chocolate cake and pistachio ice crem dessert. HIghly recommended.
