At the counter, you select a menu choice, illustrated in color photos above the counter, like "Number 11", the stir-fried noodles with beef and vegetables. Pay up and wait for the cook to prepare it fresh. She's busy churning out orders one after the other! The friendly staff will bring out your dishes to you either at the high bar, or at the few tables in the room. A number of customers were ordering take out. This place was popular. The food was quite hot and delicious! You will really enjoy any plate you chose. Excellent flavor and you taste the fresh preparation. Lots of different vegetables to complement the meat. The broth in the Pho was not very subtle, it didn't have many delicate spices such as anise. It was just a bit salty beef broth. The toppings included sprouts, cilantro, fresh cut chilli, It did okay as broth, but wasn't really my favorite preparation of Pho. I think they could try a bit more delicate flavoring on the broth.

After briefly combing Yelp for helpful reviews to make our decision, we came across Pho3mien; we were pretty sold based on the photos that others have taken of this place. In terms of location, the restaurant is located north of what one would consider the city center. It's a bit in the cuts, but definitely worth the walk. Whilst traveling on foot, I did not notice any parking garages/lots and only street parking for this restaurant. I also seem to recall that it was a one way street. So if you would want to come here, I suggest parking in the parking garage about 4 blocks away (if you're driving) and then walking the rest of the way. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Despite how the pictures looked, my expectations were still rather low. It is really a pan-Asian restaurant - the menu offered Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai cuisines. They also dabbled in dim sum. We came here for the Vietnamese food and that's exactly what we got. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Germany, Pho3mien rates amongst the top 10. The variety that is found here is like none other that I've seen in other restaurants. Example, Pho Bo is usually the only pho variation served in Germany (some restaurants may offer Pho Ga). At Pho3mien, you can also find, Pho Tai (medium cooked meat), Pho Dac Biet (special), and Bun Bo Hue in terms of the soup noodle category. They also have coi guon, banh xeo, com bo luc lac, and vermicelli bowls as well. Tip: Che 7 Mau. My Asians will know this drink. Only restaurant I've found in Germany that serves this. It has about 6 tables that seat 4-8 people each. And the interior is pretty decent. Nothing too fancy, but not run down, tacky, or any of that. Just a chill place to enjoy some Vietnamese food. Service was very nice. We were seated with our menus (in German/Vietnamese) but they had some photos to help. If you use Google Translate on their webpage, it's a big help! And the menu is on there. Our Pho was very good! I would be sure to ask if something is spicy. I didn't realize mine would be, so I ended up switching with my husband...and he added even more chili (Which they serve on the side with lemon). We live in SF area and are used to authentic Vietnamese food and wanted to eat something different for a change. While I can't say I have ever had breaded chicken at a Vietnamese restaurant in the SF bay area, they really did a great job. It wasn't dry at all. It was crunchy and crispy. Yummo! It's a kind of "medicinal" food I love to taste because it really makes you feel healthy and wards off colds and fevers. The restaurant has friendly kitchen staff. You can see them preparing the food behind a semi-enclosed kitchen. They close daily at 10:00 p.m. I saw a lot of people picking up food to go for late night, and a couple of late night owls eating in. The decor includes an aquarium with exotic large Asian fish, lots of potted plants, and large wooden wall decorations of Vietnamese country scenes on deep green walls.
