I'm an American studying in Metz, and one thing I miss about home is lighter…read morecuisine with lots of fresh vegetables and what not (I know not a lot of Americans eat this way, but that style of food is easy to come by particularly in cities in the US) as compared to the heavy, nearing overcooked style of French cuisine. Le Petit Mona was a nice change from this. You can get a sandwich, panini or pasta dish with tasty salmon or chicken or similar things with fresh lettuce and tomatoes and cucumbers and such, for a good price. They also have lots of nice bottled drink options like Arizona teas and the like.
I've eaten here three times and have left satisfied and feeling good each time. Close enough to the train station that makes it perfect for a quick bite before heading out to whatever destination for the weekend.
