Yes for the spot, yes for the wine but a big no for the food !
I came to that place 3 times in the last 3 years, I'm French and know about good food but sorry this is the negative point here, it's always appealing on the menu but always as well greasy and not the finest in the plate :( this year they have a croque monsieur that taste like corn beef melted with cheese.. disgusting and heavy, the terrine has the same taste.. the sides who comes with it, doesn't have any flavor, missing the vinegar pickles somewhere here...last year was the linguine alla vongole bathing in a oily juice...:(
It's a shame because everyone other there are sweet, the bosses are super cool and gentle but sorry this is what I think...
I hope they will adjust this in the future to touch the holy grail!
In addition, before I left I ordered some ribs because I was starving as the rest wasn't pleasant, not bad but they they don't know how to make a bbq salsa at all, it tasted like ketchup with no sweetness..
Place like this with that kind of very good wine lists should take example to the verre volé in Paris, good products and simple recipes, not pretentious, it always wins....
Don't drop too much critics like this but it's expensive, hard to have a table so people should know where they are heading to...
In addition to this post, I was sick and I throw up later on the beach all my lunch.. a very bad moment! read more
